after research on Consumer reports, we had a list of the top 3 best-rated french door style fridges, 2 being Samsung. we went to Best Buy on a Sunday about an hour before closing, just to look and touch. the young sales girl who offered her assistance was so knowledgeable and helpful that within about 10 minutes of show&tell and Q&A, she had convinced us that LG was the model we REALLY wanted, but just hadn't known it before we walked in that day. the LG, unlike Samsung, was available in black stainless which we preferred and had the french doors on the freezer. she compared the different brands, showed us how the Samsung ice maker took up precious shelf space, which the LG with the ice maker in the door did not, and how the brackets for the shelves in the Samsung were large and occupied alot of space, limiting how high you can stack items on a shelf and how far back you could put them before the brackets interfered. she talked us out of what would have been a better commission for her on the sale of the Samsung, and convinced us to buy a less expensive LG with comparable BB customer satisfaction ratings because she understood that it suited our needs more, and the overall design was just, well, better. I'd buy just about anything from that girl, a car, life insurance. so, we've had the fridge now for 1 month and 1 day. our only real "cons" are that the water dispenser isn't tall enough to accommodate my husband's travel mug fully upright, or deep enough to fit the coffee carafe. we have to hold the coffee carafe just so or the stream of water hits the plastic lid edge, splashing water all over. the travel mug thing was a biggie for my husband at first, but he's come to accept it, probably because his mug didn't fit in our old fridge, either. the "black stainless" is misnamed, because the "black stainless" part of the fridge isn't actually stainless steel, or metal at all, it's plastic. we have the protective plastic coating still on because I guess we're more concerned about potential scratches with the plastic than we would be with metal. the final thing that peeves us a bit is that when changing from ice to water and back, you can't just select the option you want and go right to it, you have to press the button down to cycle through all the options. "pros" are that shelf space in the fridge is great, and the 2 produce bins are HUGE. this has enough tech-y stuff to feel 21st C without being intimidating for those of us who are less impressive with the tech. we both really dig the door-in-door feature which lets us access drinks, coffee creamer, etc that we reach for alot during the day without opening the whole fridge door and letting all the cold air out. the freezer, divided in half with a mirror-image configuration of 3 enormous pull-out drawers on each side, has WAY more storage than our old side-by-side fridge/freezer, and the freezer door storage is also impressive. the guys who delivered the fridge took great care in installing the new appliance, and removing the old one. I'd give everyone we dealt with at BB 5 stars, and the fridge itself 4.5 stars because of the couple of small "pet peeves." but I would definitely and highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a new fridge.

This LG refrigerator is so awesome!! The freezer is so spacious. When I came across this four door refrigerator i knew i had to have it. I am not a fan of the pull out door ones. So finding this was amazing to me. I love it even more than I thought i would. I am happy so far with this purchase.

Love the fridge. Lots of room in the freezer. All the drawers in the freezer lets me separate the meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables. The doors are easy to clean. Just wipe and you are done.

Great concept of splitting the bottom doors vertically instead of two horizontal drawers. Behind the freezer doors are further three in-door shelves and three pull-out drawers on each side, totaling twelves storage units for the freezing zone. We no longer need to dig through a huge pile of frozen food. The top half of the refrigerator is well organized as well. Notice the interior light comes not just from the top but also the sides so even a fully loaded refrigerator is well lit. The ice machine produces not only the regular cubes but also can crush the ice which is convenient to either speed up a smoothie preparation or make an ice bed to shock veggies after blanching them. We've had the unit for 4 months with no issue. The temperature top and bottom was kept consistent with no food spoilage. There does not appear to be a difference if the food is in the back or the front of the unit - i.e. the cold is well spread.

I love this refrigerator. The organizational storage is really nice. Very roomy and spacious although I removed one fridge rack to allow larger items to store, i.e milk, juice. Love the door in fridge option. I am still getting used to not having bottom pull out freezer but loving this design so far.

the inside door shelves have a super slim small room for anything and once you open any top dooe the bottome drawer does not pull out you have to open both doors to pull out the bottom drawer and tha glass position to extract drinking water is not designed right and I keep getting splash water on the side

This Fridge is great. Room for everything. Take all the options you like in each of the others and this fridge has all of them. Love it.

This refrigerator is worthy the money I paid. The space, perfect cooling, perfect freezer. The compartment provides good and easy arrangement of my items inside the refrigerator.

I love this Refrigerator Very spacious 4 doors wow.. no need to dig in everything is on shelves. Fits everything.

The refrigerator section needs much improvement shelves not very adjustable there is not a pantry drawer for lunch meats and cheeses. I do love the freezer section! Very easy to find items without digging to the bottom.

This is a great refrigerator. We bought the bundle and got the discount for it.

Although, spacious and with ample storage, the fridge just isn't enough for the price. The best features are the connections and French door capabilities. Expensive, but a huge recommend.

I love the four doors and the freezer is some much easier to organize.

The compressor lasts 1-2 years. There are lawsuits against LG. I spent $2300 for a fridge that stopped working after 2 years. Read the reviews all over the place. DO NOT BUY LG
