easy to operate once you get over all the shiny bells and whistles....very quiet,no excessive vibration. you almost have to check on it, to make sure its still going...the only reason I didn't give it fives all the way down, is the length of time it takes to wash a regular load, no extended prewashes or extra rinses

I've only had this washer for a couple of months but so far so good :) It is really quiet and seems to wash our clothes great. I do take the extra steps to dry off the seal around the door and I even leave it open for a while after I'm done washing.

Got a great deal on this LG washer over the July 4th holiday sale. Did my research on other major brands and other major competitors and Best Buy offered the best price with best financing terms with my Best Buy Credit Card, plus delivery was quick (2 days) and free. This LG washer doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the higher end models, but for the price compared to the higher end models, this model works efficiently and effectively. This is my first front load washer (compared to my old very small top load washer) and washing times have been quick, clothes come out dryer (and not soaking wet) so drying time is cut down. Plus the capacity is so large that I can get everything washed in two loads or less. Some clothes are wrinkled when they wash cycle is finished, but the LG gas dryer does a great job on getting the wrinkles out. The washer does make some noise (my washer is on the 2nd story of my house), but this is to be expected due to it being a front load washer and size of the washer. Some people complain about the noise from the washer, but honestly, the noise does not bother me because laundry is done once a week and the washer is on for a total of 2 hours or less. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

So this washer is loud at the beginning with it's either dispensing detergent or water. And it makes a sound when the cycle is done at the end so you don't want to out your sleeping baby anywhere close by during a cycle. But I love this washer. I have 3 kids under 4 years old and we have a ton of laundry. I do a load every other day. It's huge and fits lots of clothes. It has lots of different options so you can hand pick how you want your clothes to be washed. I usually like the speed wash in cold water, extra high spin and normal to heavy soil level which ends up being about 20-25 minutes. It also has a 10 year warranty on the direct drive motor. We also own an LG refrigerator and there is a 10 year warranty on the compressor. I highly recommend LG products in general. They obviously are confident to have 10 year guarantees

I was guided by Consumer Report in my first purchase of a front-loader washer. I am very pleased with my purchase so far. I've owned it for only 2 months. The Washer is easy to use, well designed, uses much less water than my older washer, and gets the clothes as clean and requires less dry time. It's price was reasonable for a front-loader washer ranked so high by CR.

Great washing machine for the price. Plenty of options including with this unit. This washer is extremely quiet, sometimes I forget that it is running. Very efficient, and oh did i mention that the price is great.

I love the washer and dryer as it is easy to use; the controls are clear. The noise level is low. The size of the machines are perfect for what I was looking for and my husband knows how to use it too!

I bought this washing machine almost 2 years ago. Waited to write a review to give a full report. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. This washer has lots of great features and it does a good job of washing our household clothes. I also recently started using it to wash cloth diapers and have found the pre-wash and extra water for the rinse cycle to be very beneficial for making sure the diapers come out clean and with no odor.

Overall very good machine. Large capacity, gets clothes clean, saves water, cold water wash cycle saves energy. The only disappointing feature is the drain pump filter. The filter is to low to the ground making it difficult for the drain hose to completely drain filter. The drain hose also drains very slowly because of it's location.

I bought the washer and matching dryer to use as a stacking unit. I was concerned regarding the stability, but my worries have been alleviated. Even while using the high speed spin the unit is solid. Additionally, the unit is quiet. The average wash cycle is not terribly long. Unfortunately, while washing clothes that have bits of mud or grass small quantities of mud and grass have been observed deposited around the drum seal of the washing machine. While these deposits are easily wiped up, it is an inconvenience to do it.

My husband and I purchased this washer one night when ours went out. He had it up and running in about 20 minutes. It's not noisy. It washes well AND I LOVE the tunes it plays to ensure you know your load is completed. That way I don't have to constantly check.

I bought this to replace a Whirlpool front loader that was a complete disaster and failed after only 6 years. I had LOTS of questions for the sales staff and I went in there wanting to be impressed without spending a ton of money. This washer did not disappoint. It was well-priced and it works like a dream. It is much faster than the Whirlpool and does such a beautiful job on the clothes. It is big enough for comforters and just fine with really small loads. Great, easy-to-read display and a lovely little song at the end of the cycle. Now I want the dryer too!

We love this washer. It washes fast and quiet. The Controls are great and it's actually fun to use. The machine has a little song to play when it's cycle is done. Oh....the clothes are clean and the spin cycle practically dries the clothes.

We've had this for about a month now and have washed LOTS of laundry in that time. This washer gets my things much cleaner than my previous one using much less water. It's super quiet and the tune at the end of the cycle makes me happy :)

The washing machine doesn't need a degree in computer engineering to operate, but runs quietly & efficiently.

I truly enjoy my new washer. it cleans the clothes great and is easy to use. It spins most of the water out which reduces my drying time. Overall, it is great washer..

I love LG, and this washer did not disappoint. It is quiet, user friendly, and does an excellent job cleaning my clothes gently.
