Bought the washer for my daughter. She reported that it did not clean the clothes as expected. Unsure if this is because it has no agitator. I have the same washer just with a greater capacity and I have not had a problem but I also do not have small children that get their clothes very dirty.

This is a great washer for those who want a HE washer.

I am not impressed with this "energy efficient" washing machine. I miss my old style machine that lasted for over 10 years. This machine barely moves the clothes around. I don't see how the clothes can get clean, except that maybe they soak long enough that they get clean somehow. It also makes loud bumping noises during certain cycles that can't be good for it. I have to say I am very disappointed.

This is a great washer if you are tall with long arms. I am 5ft 7 and I can't reach the bottom of the washer to get my wet clothes. So what basketball player turned engineer designed this thing?

Needed to get a new washer and dryer to replace my 17 Year old GE. I had been considering front load machines for a while but was wary due to the costs. While browsing in the store i came across this washer and was impressed by the price and number of features that it offered. I read some consumer reviews and noticed that most of the negatives came from people that appear to be set in their ways regarding how a clothes washer is supposed to work. I found that by reading the manual and following the instructions listed I was able to get great washing performance. A couple of things to note: --HE machines like this will rarely fill with water, that's OK. That's why the cycles are longer. Opening the lid to add water because you think it needs more actually reduces the cleaning power of the machine --Packing clothes in to the tub is a great way to keep your dirty clothes dirty and the machine unbalanced. Read The Manual it gives lots of tips on loading the washer. --Don't watch the machine wash your clothes. The cycle takes an hour or more and it is unlike using an agitator machine. The wash action is efficient yet subtle. Looking at the machine do its work is going to be disappointing, most of the wash action takes place at the bottom where you can't see it. --Use the recommended amounts of detergent and bleach. I accidentally used some non HE detergent and had to re wash the clothes twice to get the residue off. Again Read The Manual.

Ownership one week. Wanted to make sure this washer was exactly what it was defined as being able to do. Yes, clean the clothes. Got it home set it up and we were off to washing CLEAN white clothes from the dresser. Well I thought it was clean, after the washer did its thing for about 15 minutes the CLEAN clothes made the water in the washer look like I had put dirty clothes in it. Yes thats correct the water was filthy from the clean clothes. Next I did clean towels, all one color with two different color wash cloths in to wash. Well, once again the water was dirty, but I already knew that was going to happen, I wanted to see proof the clothes actually moved around. Sure enough the wash clothes would disappear and then reappear after a short time. How do I know, yes I actually stood there and watched through the glass top. It was amazing!!! I'll never buy another washer with an agitator and would definately buy from Best Buy and a LG brand again. We also bought the dryer to match. HMMM it turned off when the clothes was dry, which was prior to the actual time indicated. Oh yes they do play music for you.

I did my due diligence when I purchased this washer, I read the reviews both good and bad. . Let me debunk some of the naysayers who say it does not wash the clothes well. True it does not have an agitator, it moves the clothes via a small rotational plate, but then the drum will spin both ways to redistribute the clothes. There are options galore so you can easily find the right combination of washing methods. I would buy this washer again.
