It performs quite well and replaced a 12000 btu unit from GE that was straight up junk out of the box! My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the fan does not push the air as well as I think it should. It does cool the area quite well but it takes a while because of the lack of a powerful fan setting. It is a very heavy unit but it’s the quietest unit I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned quite a few!

It performs great and cools appropriately with a variety of decent settings. Its normal operation is quiet, and I purposely searched out this particular model based on Consumer Reports reviews. I would have given it 4.5 stars. However the fan blade rubbed against the motor within a day of (professional) installation, and I had to have a professional warranty check the day after by a factory authorized LG (only) independent vendor. The techs quickly solved the issue, but this rubbing, thumping has returned in just a week I'm past the 15-ay return date to Best Buy, thus I'll have to hope LG factory authorized warranty can resolve this in the next year. Or I'm stuck with a lemon.

I did not realize the weight of this air conditioner when I ordered it, and it nearly killed my husband carrying it upstairs. But it works great.

All of our appliances are LG©. The air conditioner cools the room in just minutes! They also provide you with insulated foam to keep pests out. I am very pleased with this product!

This AC is okay. The plastic grill in the front and the filter are incredibly loud when the AC cycles on. If it wasn't for all the plastic vibrating the AC would be great. I don't understand why these companies can't address this issue in 2023? If you are using this in a bedroom or you'd like a somewhat quiet AC I would look elsewhere. I can't recommend GE or LG for window air conditioners.
