This was intimidating at first with all the controls, but turned out to be relatively easy to operate. It seems to use a great deal less water than our old machine and the clothes are much drier after the spin cycle. It is easy to load and unload. My wife loves the machine, so far in the short time we have used it.

Replaced a top load machine with this one. Wanted better efficiency and lower water usage. This washer does everything as advertised. Good quality workmanship and excellent instructions. It is heavy (200lbs) so get help to install. Vibrates on spin cycle more than I expected. So far we are quite pleased with it.

Absolutly love this machine! Cleans great, very fast and actually fun to use! This machine is beautiful to look at. I have no problems at all with mine, the washer will vibrate very little, however, its on a tile floor. Easy to clean, just make sure to wipe around the seal. I have no problems with any foul odors from the machine (which my husband was nervous about)

had to replace an 8 yr whirlpool duet front loader. did research and this was the best. I've had it about a month - no complaints except water hammer noise. It wasn't totally obvious because it didn't sound like 'pipe noise' - just loud, abrupt noise with water on and off cycling. Go to Lowes and buy $20 hammer arresters for both hot & cold water - should have come with it. Lowes and Home Depot had no clue but saw review online. Now it's perfect except crazy long steam wash cycle (like 1 hr 50 mins even on turbo wash!) Without steam it's normal. Still good product and I'd buy again.

We selected the LG because we already had an LG refrigerator and were happy with it. This unit makes doing laundry much easier than with our old washer.

Control is real easy to use. Sanitize cycle really makes towels feel fresh. Washes quickly and efficiently.

This great washer. It has same with as my old top loader. It is a little deep, but its capacity is far greater than the old washer. This washer makes doing laundry a breeze with trays for detergent, bleach, and liquid fabric softener. It is very quiet and it signals when it finish washing your clothes.

Our first front-loader. Gets everything clean with very little detergent. It tackles sleeping bags, quilts, and other large fabrics and figures out water level and temperature, spin speed, etc. automatically, while allowing adjustments for personal preference. It is also very quiet, and I really like that the clothes come out of the spin cycle almost dry.

I snagged this washer on sale @ Best Buy. Based on some research and reviews on this and some other website. Works great, clothes come out clean and is highly efficient ....on the electricity and water bill.... Added bonus this machine has a lot of features that I normally don't use, but good to know its there when you need it. It is more than adequate for a family of 4. As with all the reviews listed here and that I have read, the only con I have noticed so far is the entire machine shakes a lot when it is starting up its spin cycle; once it gets going it self balances itself and the shaking stops. Initially I thought it was the leveling of the machine. I went back and checked the leveling and flushed it 3 times, but to no avail.....Hence the 4 stars.. Overall I would recommend this machine for it quality, the price I paid, and last but not the least.... its efficiency. As far as durability goes, it remains to be seen. It is too early to comment on that. From the looks of it and the quality, I anticipate years of service from this machine.

This has been a great unit so far. We have it stacked with the matching dryer (though we have that in red). It works well and is much more quiet and efficient than our older GE top loader. While ours hasn't experienced the problem, everyone we talk to says you must leave the door and soap container open when unused or the tub will start to smell. Also clean the lower filter monthly. So far we think it is a solid purchase.

The first washer seemed to be out of balance. Loud when in spin cycle. We have them stacked so the dryer seemed like it was rocking a lot when the washer was on high speed spin. We thought it was not leveled properly during installation. Best Buy sent the installers back to check it out. The installer said the washer was bad. Not really sure how he could know that since he didn't even listen to it. Anyway, after a few days we got a new one. Much quieter and doesn't shake during spin. Guess the installer was right. This washer has sensors that check the load upon start up. It checks the weight and size of the load to determine the appropriate water level before it actually goes into full wash mode. During this process its loud. You can hear the water jets spraying what sounds like high pressure spray and there is a lot of tumbling of the load. Our laundry room is off the kitchen and is not closed off so we hear it. . We bought this one to replace a Kenmore Elite which was much quieter but didn't have all the bells and whistles this one has. Overall the washer and matching dryer work very well. Note: when you stack them it is difficult to read all of the options on the dryer. I'm 5'6.

We invested many hours (days!) researching washers and dryers and trying to find the best performance, reputation and sale price. Bottom line: We love our new LG front loading washer and dryer! Some people do not like front loaders as they say they get moldy. The LG's we bought have a magnet on the door so you don't have to latch the door, therefore it breathes if you cannot leave the door wide open to let it air dry. (I even leave the door & the detergent tray wide open for a few days to make sure it dries out well.). I wipe out the door seal with a paper towel too. No one will argue that a front loader washes clothes the best! It is worth the extra few seconds of maintenance. The main reason I chose this washer is that the door opening is just enough bigger than than smaller machines to make it a lot easier to get clothes in and out. The new top loaders just didn't seem to have enough washing action and you have to be careful how you load the clothes so items like sheets don't get air under them and ride above the water. Front loaders are the most efficient and use the least water too. My husband built a custom 61/2" platform for both the washer and dryer and that puts them at a perfect height to load and unload (and I am 5'10"). This is much shorter than the LG pedestals, but is perfect for our situation where they needed to fit under cabinets above the machines. Also, the Best Buy sales people were very helpful and committed to customer satisfaction, rather than just to making a sale. We got a price better than the competition too by waiting for a sale, plus an extra holiday discount along with double Best Buy reward points and cash back for getting a Best Buy credit card!

Love this machine! Easy to use. No problem with odor, but I do wipe any excess water from the door gasket after finishing.

glad bought a LG washer, low price, quiet, clean clothes
