The LG washing machine is great. It's efficient, effective and quiet. Lots of options for cycles and water temps. It didn't take my family long to get used to the technology.

Amazing Washer at a Great Price

This is a great washer for the price. Don't waste your money spending twice as much on a front load washer. It runs smooth and quiet and has great capacity. My wife and I looked at tons of models and compared a lot before buying this one. Cheaper brands are not worth the hassle and the more expensive models from LG and Samsung I believe are unnecessary. Buying from Best Buy is the way to go too. No commission to their sales people so you know you are getting honest opinions. We got a lot of helpful information from the best buy lady who helped us. We have 3 kids so we need a dependable machine. Bought the warranty because the Geek Squad will come look at it for free if it breaks. Also best buy keeps the parts in stock so you don't have to wait for them to come from Japan if a regular fix it guy is looking at it and it needs work.

I purchased this washer and the matching dryer and love both. I have had a few front loading HE washers before and they all either broke, smelled horrible in a few weeks, or failed to handle larger loads. This top loading HE washer has massive capacity, is very quiet, and leaves clothes almost completely dry by the end of the spin cycle.

Unit was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the price of the unit seemed to be about right for similar models. It was on sale. Delivery was on time. My only complaint would be the change in the reward zone program where I didn't get RZ points because I took 18 months no interest financing. Back to the unit: A lot of options and cycles to choose from. Washer seems to do a good job cleaning the clothes, and can handle a good amount of laundry. I would recommend it to a friend.

I enjoy the washer because it sames water and energy. Also, it does a great job on cleaning clothes. I have noticed that some items are cleaner with machine as apposed to my old machine. Machine is so quiet sometimes I am not sure if it is still on. Also has a new look in my home.

Washes clothes well. Has a variety of cycle. Quiet machine. Only drawback is that at 5'4", I sometimes have to really stretch to get those socks at the bottom of the tub. It is just a little too deep. It is worth it though. I am very happy with how well it cleans our clothes.

Already had this machine in our home and have been so impressed, we bought one to replace a broken washer in a rental property. Cleans great, and runs quietly.

I actually pulled up a stool and watched the first cycle through the glass top load door. Yes, I'm easily amused. I like that the washer senses the load and doesn't waste water, particularly on small loads. Love the controls on the front, much easier to reach. Was very surprised at the large capacity, I do have to get on my tippy toes to get everything out, but it's not a problem. Lots of cycle options. Also a neat feature is how the top load door folds in to air it out while not in use (instead of leaving the whole door open) so you don't get a mildew smell. Definitely recommend.

This washer is incredibly quiet and efficient. Provides the cleanliness and energy efficiency of a front loader with the traditional style washer advantages.

We bought this washer to replace a front loader whose bearings were going out. This unit uses more water than the front loader, but makes up for it with a much larger capacity than that of an equivalent front loader. Clothes come out of the washer wrinkled compared to the front loader, but that is countered by running an air only cycle on the dryer. The chime at the end of the cycle is quiet and often missed, but overall we are very happy with this unit!

I liked this washing machine so much in my old house that I bought for the new house when we moved. It does not get stinky like a front loader and has plenty of capacity. I've washed a king size comforter in it. The key is that there isn't an agitator in the middle so that frees up a lot of space. It also has many different setting choices. My only complaint is that I'm a little shorter so I have to standon my tippie toes to reach everything in the bottom.

Very large capacity. Best washing machine I've ever had. The controls are convenient and easy to use. Each cycle is great. I love how it automatically calibrates the size and weight of the load and adjusts the water level accordingly. The fact that it doesn't have an agitator in the middle of the machine increases the capacity a lot. It also doesn't vibrate too much and doesn't make too much noise.

Would highly recommend. Very easy to use. Whites come out great on the white cycle. Love the size at 4.3 cubic feet. The machine is ultra quiet, can barely hear it running. The only down side is that you can not adjust the amount of water in the machine once a cycle has started if you add more laundry. This is a very minor issue and does not detract in any way from my review of the machine.

love the machine except after all the reviews I read, my machine is not so quiet. That doesn't bother me though. I was more concerned with mold especially after I just got rid of my bosch front loader after 4 years! It was so moldy and smelled. This machine I like the top lid because I leave the flap open when not in use to help prevent mold issues. Also I am 5'6" and I can see someone shorter having a problem reaching in to the bottom of the tub.

Doesn't Wash and Wrinkles My Clothes

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Our 25 year old Maytag was starting to show it's age and sadly my mom decided she wanted a shiny new washer instead of having to manually flip a switch every time we did laundry. This is the machine we got after she decided there weren't enough non-high efficiency options out there. I've had multiple experiences with high efficiency washers while away at college and have grown to dislike them quite a bit. And this washer has proved to be no different than all the previous ones. My clothes seem to come out dirtier then they were before. There's not enough water to keep the dirt suspended, and it doesn't drain enough of the water to take the dirt out- it all gets mixed up in a dirty water stew. And my clothes are always, ALWAYS wrinkled. I line dry a lot of my clothes because they'll shrink in the dryer, which is the only way to get the wrinkles out. So, sadly, it looks like I will once again be ironing everything from my jeans to my t-shirts. I understand the desire to save on water, but when it completely negates the purpose of washing clothes...it doesn't seem like a very good pairing of efficiency and utility. Even if it allowed just 3 more inches of water I think it would be a huge improvement. Looks like I'll be looking up local laundromats that have the old, but entirely functional, washers.

Load capacity is awesome. I've never used a top loader with no agitator but absolutely love it. Never have had a balance issue. Very quiet.
