This my first high efficiency washer. It takes longer to finish a cycle then my regular top loader but it uses less water so that is more important.

I read tons of reviews before deciding on a new washer and dryer. This one has nothing but good reviews and I can see why. I love it. It's very quiet and seems to get my clothes so much cleaner than my old washer. It also has tons of setting options which I really like. Of course I am not used to it taking a hour to wash a load of clothes but other than that this washer is great.

Bought the washer and dryer set and have never looked backed. They are very efficient also. many different features and low noise make these a must.

Despite the great reviews of this product, I was hesitant to purchase it, due to the fact it was a HE washer (which controls water level) and recurring complaints of issues relating to "off balance" and "mildew odor". I had really wanted to purchase a traditional top loading machine so that I could control the water level myself, but there were none available that would fit through our laundry room doorway. Being forced to settle for a HE top-loader (kicking and screaming the whole way!), I did some research, and settled on this product because the overall reviews were consistently good. After owning it for 2 months, I can happily report that I really like this machine! It has performed reliably, and I have had only 1 episode of "off balance" (which, not surprisingly, was a load of towels). The controlled water level feature took some getting used to (I was a HUGE skeptic!) , but the clothes (and more importantly the towels), always come out smelling clean and fresh. A minor downside is it takes quite a bit more care than my old washer. Because I do not want to run into mildew odor problems, I remove the detergent/fabric softener tray after finishing laundry for the day and dry it and the shelf, and leave it removed until the next laundry day. To avoid "off balance" issues, I put more thought into loading the washer so the load is even and "like things" are being washed together and heavier items are on the bottom. Neither of these things are very taxing and I imagine they are good for the longevity off the machine. My 4 star rating (instead of 5) is due to my two major complaints/disappointments regarding this machine: 1. The inability to soak items for more than 30 min 2. The inability to wash waterproof/resistant items. This is a huge problem for us. We are big outdoors people and own a lot of gortex items which get dirty. I'm still trying to find a way to safely (for washer and clothes) get around this restriction. So, bottom line, I give this machine a thumbs up!

Bought this washer and dryer set about a month ago not only is it a very nice looking machine but it Does everything I want it to and it's quiet.

Larger capacity a blessing with a large family! The washer is so quiet I have to check on it to see if it is working and it's amazing how it washes when used to the noisey agitator washers, but clothes come out clean and barely damp which help shorten drying time. LG did their homework on this washer. Highly recommend, very pleased with purchase! This is our first time purchasing from Best Buy. Employees were the most helpful from sales to home delivery. The delivery installers took care of everything professionally. Made our purchase a new, pleasant experience and we will be visiting Best Buy again.

Got great deal when on sale and open box model. Huge washer with lots of room. Multiple, east to use settings. Like the sound when cycle complete.

I appreciate the water efficiency. However, a load of wash takes nearly an hour. My other concern is the very deep washer tub. I am 5'4" and have a difficult time reaching items in the bottom of the washer at the end of the cycle. Washer does a great job cleaning clothes and the control panel is easy.

This washer has a lot more room than I'm used to. It runs quietly and has lots of cycle options which is nice when I want to wash a load quickly.

The washing machine was easily hooked up and is easy to operate. It is large and runs quietly on all of the cycles that I have tried so far.

So Quiet! Uses less water. Spins so well that less dryer time is needed.

Excellent appliance, all of the settings allow you to wash your clothes at the perfect water temperature and time all while saving energy

We bought this washer for our apartment laundry room. We are on the second floor and wanted someone large but was quiet during the cycle, (i frequently do a load of wash before going to bed). It is mostly quiet, occasionally on the super spin or during the "smart wash sensing" part it can be a bit loud. The only issue was our mistake, the lid comes up very high and hits our laundry room cabinets. Not really that much of an issue. It still has enough room for opening and closing. Good for the money, will update if anything arises.

I am very happy with my purchase, especially for the deal I got it for. This set is overall pretty good. I have noticed that it does take a long time to wash clothes with certain settings but by trying out a few options Ive gotten it to wash in about the same time as my older models I had. One thing I noticed is that the estimated time remaining is definitely not actual time because I'll go back 20 mins later and it will say say 15 mins. So it must be in washing machine time. The dryer is good, no issues with that at all.

I like the washer so far with one exception. Two weeks after I bought it, the digital board stopped working. The power button would sound, but no lights would come on, and the machine wouldn't work. I called and immediately got an LG rep from their customer service #, and the next day an LG repairman came to fix it - it was very good customer service. Let's hope that it doesn't break again, because I like the machine itself so far!

I heart this washer. I also bought it's life partner - the dryer - too. The washer turns on like a video game with a cute noise. Then at the end of the cycle, it plays a litte song to let me know its done. The lid is really neat - it doesn't slam. It does a controlled close so no more loud lids! Buy it - its great

The LG washer is a great machine for all size loads. Nice looking machine for the money. Glass tops allows you to see in as your clothes wash. It is simple to use with many features. At the end of the wash cycle a little tune plays to get your attention. Great price for such a quality machine.

I love this washer. It is very quiet. I also like the chimes when it is through washing. The fact that it knows how much water you need is great. I am so glad I researched for one year before I bought this machine. It was well worth it.

Had front loaders. They were okay, but I decided I didn't want to clean the gross buildup from the washer ring, so I wanted a top loader. Liked the cool, different look these have. Read a ton of reviews and Consumer Reports. These are rated #1. I am 5'7 and this washer is very deep, would recommend anyone of petite height try this out in store. The bedding setting is awesome. I've washed King quilts with no problem. Spins fast, clothes come out barely wet, very quiet, love the clear lid. Soft close on the lid is very nice. My husband can easily figure this machine out! Love IT!!! Have the dryer, can't say enough.

I haven't had them for very long yet but they are good so far. I love the layout of the buttons and its easy to use with lots of options
