I love this washer...I only wish they had taken into consideration how deep it is. I might have picked a different one...I am 5'5" yet can't reach the bottom of the tub. Cleaning capabilities are excellent, quiet, load capacity beyond my dreams.

We've had it a month or less but it's doing great. It's quiet and the clothes are clean. So far, so good. Easy to operate and even the fastest wash cycle seems to do the trick.

My nearly 30 year old Maytag sprung a leak, so I decided it was time to buy a new washer. I read review after review and narrowed my choice down to either a Samsung or LG. Since my sister had a slightly older model and loved it, I decided to go with the LG. I had no idea that washers no longer had agitators, nor was I aware that some models came with see-through tops. Sadly, I'm referring to the top on a machine, but the clear lid does allow you to see the washing process in action and, having a low entertainment threshold, I find it fascinating. As others have noted, the tub is cavernous, the machine takes its own sweet time determining the amount of water to use and then proceeds onward to the main washing event. I've not had a problem with any unbalanced load, but I try to ensure the load is even before starting the cycle. The clothes come out nearly dry, but the noise level is a little higher than I had hoped. While it doesn't pop popcorn, I'm very pleased with the purchase of this washer and the matching dryer.

After my previous washer (Maytag Bravos) suddenly broke on me, I decided to venture out of the brands I was accustomed to and after reading reviews on this one, decided to go for it once I saw I could take advantage of deep discounts my local Best Buy store was offering! Having owned it now for the past couple months, it is def worth the purchase and proved it's worthiness! We are a family of 6, and this fits all my needs. Problem free so far....just make sure when loading bulky items (comforters, heavy blankets, ect) that you load in evenly otherwise it will get off balance. Once washing cycle is over, I get to listen to the cute song it plays to add some joy in my washing days!

Purchase over the holidays on an impulse buy. Glad I did. Notice a savings in water after the very first month. Quiet machine, holds large heavy loads with ease. The only small nit pic I have would be the load balancing could use some work, but that is very minimal. Impressed!

The folks from Best Buy set up the washer and gave operating info. I've washed loads from Heavy to very light and just can't believe how well this machine performs. It's quiet, easy to load laundry, spins to the point that laundry (especially sheets & towels) are totally ready for the dryer. The delicate cycle is exceptional. I really like all the cycle options. The tub is very deep on this machine. It's capable of washing comforters too. It's also easy to keep this machine clean, inside and out. I like LG products.

Cleans well, very quiet, does a great job of drying the clothes during spin cycle. Interface is a little less intuitive than I would like but doesn't take long to learn.

After our washer of 10 years decided to die, we were in immediate need of a new one. But we needed it tonight! Searched online and found a different model, but wasn't available. After visiting the store before closing, I took this unit as it was in stock. This unit is the quietest and smartest washer I've ever seen! Load sensing to determine the proper amount of water to use, perfect for those states limited in water usage. Cons: You need to use HE detergent, which is an easy adjustment to make.

I love my new washing machine. It is quiet and energy efficient. I am using less water to wash my clothes. The machine has a load balancing element that works great. This is my first LG appliance and I will look forward to purchasing others when needed.

I am the pickiest buyer ever! I will think over on a potential purchase for weeks if not months! I found this washer in a Consumer Review Report for its performance and price, and once I saw all of the positive reviews on Best Buy, I had to have it! It is soooo quiet, sometimes I have to walk over and look in to make sure it is operating! It is very efficient yet gentle on clothes! Make sure to read your manual to get the most out of it! I just love this washer! no regrets!

Our first washing machine without and agitator. No more untangling clothes-ropes! Quiet, efficient, washes clothes wonderfully! Cannot hear the washing machine running from next room. High quality washer at a very fair price.

Cleans great and uses less energy than my old machine. Because the spin cycle extracts so much water, I am able to reduce the time it takes to dry my clothes too.

We purchased this dryer in conjunction with its matching washer counterpart. This thing is sooo quiet and it plays a tune to let you know when it's done drying your clothes! First time I've heard of that feature anywhere. This thing has much more room than our older washer and you never have to worry about your clothes being damp with LG's built in moisture sensors that ensure your clothes are nice and dry. Pretty sweet, huh? 10 year warranty through manufacturer, but we also purchased the Geek Squad protection plan for 3 years for that peace of mind. You can not go wrong with this dryer at all! Best Buy also delivered and set up both the washer and dryer with all new equipment.

We got this machine right after my daughter left for college. You would think we would have less laundry and do less loads with her gone. But no, we're doing more. My wife loves it so much, I swear she grabs clean clothes out of the closet, just to do loads. We had a Whirlpool Duet front loader which broke down after 8 1/2 years. It served us well and thought it was a good machine. After getting the LG, we wish we would have bought it sooner. Since its a top loader, less bending compared with pulling clothes out of the front loader. The capacity is incredible. It doesn't sound like much going from a 3.8 cubic foot to 4.3, but it is a HUGE difference! Tons of clothes can be packed in. This model is SUPER quiet. This is important to us since our laundry room is right off the kitchen. We may even consider doing laundry even if company is over, LOL. With our old Whirlpool the clothes always came out damper than they should have, even on the high spin cycle. Clothes would take up to 80 minutes to dry. The LG really gets most of the water out. We can feel the difference in the weight of the clothes after pulling them out. Drying time in the SAME dryer (we still have our Whirlpool dryer) takes about 60 minutes now. That will be a lot of savings in natural gas. The clothes get very clean and smell better now than with our old machine. Very happy with it so far and hope it lasts for many years. Good value.

We bought this particular washer because it was rated #1 by Consumer Reports. It hasn't disappointed so far, but its a bit involved and after a month we are still learning things about it. It is a water efficient model, so it uses less water and detergent. The long cycles are tough getting use to. The average is about an hour, with the spin cycle lasting 15-20 minutes or so. As a result, clothes and towels come out much dryer than with older models. Dryer time is cut down, which is also a savings. Once we get use to it, we all feel we will like it very much.

This washer runs quietly, is simple to use, and cleans clothes well. The wash cycle is quite a bit longer than our 20 year old Maytag (around 1 hour). After 2 mos., we are pleased - longevity TBD

living in the country is great except for two things, your water comes from a well that means turning on the faucet engages the pump which uses electricity, and when the washer doesn't work it's a long way to the laundromat. This washer has proved dependable, the washer senses the load size and only uses as much water as the load needs, the drum is large enough to do the bedding from our king sized bed ( no more trips to the laundromats) , and I know exactly how long the wash will take. So far the manufacturers options have worked for me in types of loads being washed. The clothes are clean. I do need to load the machine as if there is an agitator or I get a unbalanced load and have to adjust the items. The only reason I gave this item a good instead of excellent rating is because I am 5 ft 3 in tall and getting the last sock out if the bottom of the machine is a stretch, I will buy a front loader if I ever need another machine, and I would recommend shorter people buy a front loader.
