I purchased this dryer and the matching washer almost two years ago and they both continue to work amazingly well. Best buy delivered it and set them up no problem. My clothes always come out dry and fresh. If it's a bulkier item, you just need to set it to a manual setting to have it dry for longer. It's easy to maintain and keep clean. This was my first time buying a washer and dryer and I absolutely love them!

Great Dryer

I love this dryer, I have a laundry room without a vent and this dyer is perfect for me. The dryer works great, I can load a regular size load and they come out dry and wrinkle free.
Lots of settings and drying levels to choose from.
When you first take the clothes out they feel a little damp, but just give them a good shake and 10 seconds later they feel dry.
The dryer has a holding tank that fills up with water (as it drys your clothes) which has to be emptied after 2 or 3 loads, but the dryer also came with a hose you can connect like your washing machine and it will drain the water out automatically.
Love this machine

Good dryer except for bulky items

Overall, this dryer is great for small spaces. The ventless feature is nice if that is a requirement. My last dryer had a vent, so now I have to get the vent duct capped off, so if that's your situation, I'm not sure the ventless is an advantage. The clothes usually come out feeling damp dry, but I think it's almost like steam, and in truth it's dry. My one major complaint is that when drying bulky items (even using bulky items setting#, the bulky item almost always becomes a virtual cannonball inside the dryer as it wraps into a tight coil. Then it starts to pound inside the dryer as it rolls around, and you have to go unwind it #over and over again). The dryer does sometimes change direction, but it doesn't do this long enough to unwind the bulky item, and that's too bad, bc it certainly seems like alternating direction of the basket would solve this issue but alas it is not alternating long enough or frequently enough. Sheets, blankets, etc, all become heavy cannonballs. My only other slight grievance is that the lint for whatever reason comes out especially fine, almost like dust, so it's hard to catch it all with a swipe of your fingers and there is fine lint in the trap left over and going down into the dryer.

Perfect for small space

I've owned this dryer for a few months and am completely satisfied with its performance. It has lots of variables that you can set or just use the default settings for different types of fabrics. I've noticed that some heavy jeans take a while to dry, so I put them together so as not to shrink lighter fabrics. I've got the system down and I love it. It's perfect for a smaller space and I find the performance of this unit to be excellent.

Perfect Ventless Drying

Perfect option if there is no way to have venting to the outdoors. Gets a little warm and the water tank has to be emptied after each use, but overall not a bad option if you can't vent out!

IT FITS, BUT IT WILL BREAK DOWN

I've read many reviews and have benefited, thus I am paying it forward. I did not read the review on this compact unit, I did not because like many of you looking at this unit, the only reason you are is because "it is the only unit that fits your space"! When the dryer works it is great; however, I've had it two years and it has broke down twice and indicated mysterious error codes that per these reviews seem to be all to common. If you buy it you'll love it, but just wait it will break down.
Now for GeekSquad, I bought the 2 yr protection, which runs concurrent with the MFG warranty, and let it lapse by two weeks, it broke down on the third week. After 58 minutes of phone calls GeekSquad and LG have left me out to "dry". I take the blame for not renewing my service plan, but I'm unhappy there are common and recurring issues that do not appear to be addressed and continue and continue to come up in these reviews. If this was a car there would be a recall!
In summary, it fits but is will break, so get ready and rememder you were warned.

Excellent Dryer

Purchased an LG washer and dryer at the same time The washer is great and so is the dryer. Here is what I like about the dryer it has a flow sence which measures a blockage in your dryer vent. I installed this dryer myself and did the flow sence test it indicated that there was a serious blockage in my vent tube going outside so I had to look on the web under dryer vent cleaning to have some one come out and clean it it cost $69.00 and well worth it you would not believe the amount of lint that was removed UNREAL. This is what causes your dryer motor to burn up and your clothes to take forever to dry and may also cause a struture fire so have it cleaned every 3 years so now this dryer dries clothes in 3/4 of the time it used to over my old kenmore . This truly is a great machine!

The review by pcole1963 is impossible

The first review of this particular model by pcole 1963 is impossible. This is a brand new model, just released in the spring of 2010. The reviewer is complaining about a model that they have had for over 3 years. They obviously can't be the same dryer. I have no way of submitting this comment without a rating, so I'm submitting an average rating. I will update with another review once I have been able to use the dryer for a while.

Do Not Purchase This Dryer

After using this dryer for only six months, we have not been able to use it for over two months. LG customer service is at times rude and unapologetic, and despite four repair attempts already, they refuse to replace the machine to this point. In addition, they have nothing to say in response to two months of non-use, countless trips to the laundry mat, and lost time at work other than "I'm sorry", if you happen to get a decent customer service representative.
The features would be fine, if they worked. Save yourself the time and intense aggravation we have spent on this machine and buy something else.

I have this dryer for not 3 months and it's been overheating and not turning off properly. This is inconcovenient and worrisome. The call center recommends turning it off and letting it rest, then trying again. A tech is coming once again. NOT a good experience.

Love my dryer. It has an amazing steam cycle! It is quiet. It fits my queen down comforter with room for more. I LOVE having a stackable unit. It leaves more room for storage!

Completely Unreliable Product & Support

Purchased in March and by the end of May, the water pump had gone bad. Water was no longer pumping to the reservoir or out the drain hose. Without that pump, your clothes do not dry. Pump was replaced and the unit is still not pumping water correctly. For $900, you would expect a lot better reliability. Support is terrible as well. Website does not function properly (online chat and "Ask & Answer" feature). Called support and listened as she called 3 different local service providers to schedule service. LG support does not handle scheduling or provide the service. They contract out, so you're better off (as I did) getting the list of providers and determining the best of the bunch.

Bad product and parts

This dryer worked great for 2 years without any issues. One day I got a LE3 error message and was told by LG to contact their authorized repair company. After they replaced a circuit board that has a KNOWN software bug, the dryer died again a week later with the same error. Contacted them again and replaced the heater on the dryer. 6 months later, same error again. I refuse to spend any more money on this dryer. Never buying LG again.

WORST product!! Do NOT buy LG !!

After owning this dryer just over 3 years, the motor has blown and LG will not stand behind their product and replace it. That is just unacceptable. I will never buy another LG product. $900 for this dryer and it never really dried that well, always had to run even the smalled load, for 2 drying cycles. Do NOT buy LG !!!!!!
