Best Washing Machine I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this machine for almost a year. You throw your laundry in the tub and the machine senses the weight, so it pre-determines the water level. No more guessing. Stainless steel tub with NO agitator. Musical sounds when load is complete.

Great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure to read the manual if you've never used a 'modern' washer before. I made the mistake of washing a comforter on the basic cotton setting, and the spin cycle got confused and kept filling it with water. I highly recommend it though; it does everything I need and then some, and its very quiet.

EXCELLENT WASHER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this washer online without seeing a floor model, SO HAPPY WITH IT! Have only had it a few days but have washed NUMEROUS loads, including a KING SIZE COMFORTER! The tub is so big that the comforter had plenty of room to move around and get the cleanest it has ever been, GOOD BYE LAUNDRY MAT BIG BOYS & HELLO DOLLARS SAVED AT THE LAUNDRY MAT! The tub is deep but we are tall so this is not a problem. Love the fact that the LID and CONTROLS can be locked so that our small boys and the cat can not accidently get into the tub or push a button while the washer is running. The controls are easy to learn & operate. The washer is so QUIET that we have to go to the laundry room to make sure it is working. Was shocked at the water levels, uses much less water then our old washer, and the spin cycles (it has different speeds!) spins the clothes so well that we are actually setting our old dryer to less drying times! WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO HATES DOING LAUNDRY, ALL THAT WILL CHANGE ONCE YOU GET THIS MACHINE, I LOVE DOING LAUNDRY NOW! Yes the price may be high for some purchasers but it is DEFINETLY WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT! Can't wait to get this paid off so we can purchase the matching dryer! The design of this washer is wonderful, looks sharp and is sleek, makes our laundry room look inviting. DONT LET THE FRONT CONTROL PANEL WORRY YOU, REMEMBER THE CONTROLS CAN BE LOCKED SO NO ACCIDENTAL BUMPING OF BUTTONS CAN OCCUR!

Excellent Washer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer and matching gas dryer about a month ago and have been very pleased. This washer is beautiful with a lot of practical features. Having the controls at the front of the washer makes it easier to use, especially for my short wife. The clear glass top has a folding section that allows you to help vent the tub after a wash. The glass top also means that you can watch the washer as it does its magic. The tub is huge and I was able to fit my King size quilt in there to wash with no problems. You can wash king size sheets and pillowcases with room to spare. This washer also plays fun little tunes to signal when it comes on, is finished, turned off, etc. The only downside to having the control on the front rather than on a more traditional back plate is that it exposes more of the back wall in your utility room. Also, ever so often there will be a very small amount of water left in the tub after I do a load. It is only a quarter cup of water at most and not a big deal. When you have the spin speed set to high and it is at its peak in the cycle you are going to hear it if you are near by. I am sensitive to appliance noises (my fridge compressor really annoys me) but this washer noise doesn't bother me. It isn't for very long and if you actually go look at it through the glass top during this point in the cycle it is impressive what the washer is doing. I would absolutely recommend this washer to a friend. I hope the experience I shared helps.

Great machine, huge capacity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the machine and the color. Lots of options for cycles. It has a huge capacity. Would not recommend the drawer underneath if you are short. I have trouble reaching the bottom for last of clothes and we don't have it on a pedestal. Had a little trouble getting it so it didn't rock. But love it!

Love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hadn't realized how little my other washer was cleaning my clothes. We have 7 people using this washer, so it's size is perfect. I can wash a twin sheet set, comforter, and pillow in one load without overloading washer.

Excellent H/E Wash Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I bought this wash machine after we moved across the country and our old wash machine (Kenmore Standard) was dropped by the moving company and the basin broke out of it. We needed something to replace it so we went on a leading consumer magazine's website to review. We came across this as a recommended "Top Buy" and purchased it. It has done everything we hoped and more. The delayed cycle is great for those nights where we want to be productive and do laundry but aren't going to be up long enough to transfer to the dryer to finish. It easily handles a couple of sets of our king size sheets and pillowcases. The lack of an agitator allows us to fit much more into the basin to do large loads of laundry at once. The only drawback to this is that our dryer hasn't been replaced yet so it is tough to dry all of the clothes in one load. The wash machine runs very quietly. The various cycles are easy to understand, and allows us to customize things as we see fit (cycle spin rate, water temperature, fabric softener, etc) with a couple of pushes of a button. Another thing I love about the machine is that it will tell you exactly how long the load is going to take on the digital timer on the front of the machine. This allows us to set a timer to go downstairs rather than listening for a buzz. We have had this machine for about two months now and have had absolutely the best luck with it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new machine.

First HE Washer purchase.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old school top loader and had issues so I purchased this unit. I was totally shocked how great the unit cleans clothing and bedding. I'm also happy with how little water it uses.

OMG, It's just wonderful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I would like to say that the deiivery folks were awesome. They came 2 hours earlier than expected, hooked everything up (with their own supplies) and left all within 15-20 minutes. I used to have a Whirlpool Washer which has been with me for 10 years. It was actually rebuilt through my Sears warranty but never was the same. Finally, I needed to go ahead and get a new set. WELL...I could not be happier. I love LG electronics and they have never failed me so thats the main reason I chose this unit. It's fantastic. I am doing my first load and I HEAR nothing. My old washer sounded like it was taking off everytime I used it. Its pretty, easy to use and frankly the best appliance decision ive made in awhile. Next step, LG fridge :)

My new best friend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been hauling laundry to the folks, friends houses, or laundromat for too many years. I finally decided to take the plunge and get a washer and dryer. Because this was a pretty substantial purchase, I made sure to do my research by checking customer reviews and consumer reports test. Everything was positive and I took the plunge. What I love is the knobs in the front. I think that is pretty genius for that doesn't take room up in the back and preventing me from using my slide on baskets. It does look a bit weird at first and then you get what LG was doing. I also love that I don't pick the size of the load for it senses how much water is needed. I will say I splurged so I could look inside. Don't be fool for that is glass. I placed my hammer on the lid and immediately took it off after hearing the clink. The washer is huge and I can fit so much in there if I wanted. I can do less loads and not be afraid the clothes will be soaking wet or not clean. Overall I love this beauty and it makes my life so much easier to have the convenience of this great washer.

Why doesn't it iron and fold, too?!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with the matching dryer (8785504) and, wow! Granted we were upgrading machines that were nearly 18 years old, so this was like dial-up to high-end cable modems. Where to start?? Capacity... we can finally wash our queen sized comforter without having to take it somewhere. The sounds... this is silly, but the digital tones are so much better than the old buzzer, AND they can be turned off completely! That means we can run loads overnight. The machines are just off our bedroom and they run that quiet. Value (above) only got a 4 just because I'm a little "thrifty" but in this case we got what we paid for and I can't fault that. If we get another 15-20 years, they'll be a steal. There's actually more settings that we'll ever use, but the one's we do use serve our purposes and do a great job with the clothes... the steam dryer and wrinkle free options we're still finding uses for (about 5 months in). All in all it's been a fantastic set for us.

AMAZING!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been searching for a washer and dryer for month. I was actually leaning towards the Maytag Maxima or the Whirlpool Duet front loaders when I came across this washer and dryer online. I'm big on reading reviews and I'M SO GLAD I DID! Not only was it cheaper than what I was planning on spending, but the quality is amazing. I've had the washer and dryer for about 1-2 months now and I've only had the washer give me an error message once. (And it was totally my fault. I had loaded it too full and it was trying to even out the load. If it can't even it out it will stop and have you move the clothes around and pull some stuff out). Definitely an upgrade from the agitator Kenmores that I used to use. A lot nicer on my delicates too! No problems cleaning anything so far.

Pretty awesome for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love love love this washer. However the fact that it adds bleach from the dispenser before it begins to fill with water can damage clothes. I wish when I selected the soak option I could also select the fabric softener option but both can't be used at the same time. I also wish steam could be used as part of a wash cycle. The whites cycle adds an extra rinse so my whites never come out smelling like bleach. This is a great washer if you want your clothes to be washed in more water than a front loader, which I did which is why I went with this top loader but you will see an increase in your water bill!

Still regret after 5 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I get used to this. But never did. Should’ve returned it the first time I bought it. Capacity is great but quickly imbalance the weight in spin cycle and stops. 1. Water level -never enough to cover the entire load thus the load on top stay dry and never gets in full wash (I add two pitchers of water to each load to fake the weight sensor so more water gets dispensed ). 2. I need tongs to pull out clothes out since I’m only 5’4” and can’t reach the bottom of the drum 3. Agitator- not really doing a job for the top half of the load. It just floats. Bottom agitator rotates but not enough to twist or make movements for the top half. (I put heavily soiled clothes on the bottom) I miss the old fashioned top loader w dials that was fast and cleaned well. Wish I had it repaired it instead...

Worse Washer and Dryer Ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DON'T BUY this washer or dryer. They are junk. The washer is constantly out of balance, so it shuts off, waiting for you to 'rebalance' the load. So, half the time you can forget about putting in a load, doing something else and come back and have it ready to go to the dryer. Not only that, but the washer does not input enough water to wash the clothes. You can literally watch the clothes sitting in the water and never move, since there is not enough water to even submerge the clothes. The only way I have found around this is to put at least a gallon of water in the washer prior to starting a load. That way the washer 'thinks' there is a heavier load and will add some additional water. I shouldn't have to do the thinking for this supposed smart washer. Now for the matching dryer. You can load your clothes in it, set it for what ever you want as far as what cycle and drying you want, but it won't be dry when you hear the signal go off telling you the clothes are dry. I did this the other day, and it came out damp still. So, I set it for another cycle which should have finished the drying. It was for the driest setting on the dryer, but it was still damp when it quit. So, lastly, I set it for a timed dry, which finished drying the load. This is ridiculous and by far the worse washer and dryer set I've ever experienced. Do yourself a favor, stay clear of this garbage. If, or when, I move I won't be bringing these with me. I leave these for the next people. They can have them for free. It seems almost cruel to do that.

Great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently purchased this washer and dryer set and couldn't be happier. A very deep tub so you can do large loads. We live on a farm so have many really dirty clothes and it's handled them great! Weird to get used to since you don't set the load level such as a small or large load. After you put the clothes in it it levels it and figures load size for you. Kinda cool after you get use to it.

Can't wash small loads
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the set (W&D) from BBY about 5 years ago. All was well until we started having to do small loads, then things fell apart. This has a feature where if the load is unbalanced, it will fill with water, then try and spin/drain again, and again, and again until it just gives up. I thought it was just us, but apparently LOT's of owners have this issue - and there is no fix. If all you wash are full loads, it's a decent washer, but give it a few items to wash, and it wobbles like a drunken sailor. Oh, and the top hinges have now cracked which is another common problem.

Great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not want to write this review until I owned the washer and used it for a couple of months. I bought it based on other reviews and my needs. It has exceeded my expectations. Great cleaning, easy on the clothes and cycles for every type job we'll ever have .Wash time with cold water is rather long but we also use the fastest spin. This seems to let us dry the clothes much faster (matching dryer).Easy to read timer tells you status. Follow the manual and no issues. Great buy from Best Buy.

Very impressive washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is amazing. Our old Whirlpool top loader finally died last week and my wife and I decided to buy this LG top loader. Our clothes have never been cleaned so well. It gets out all the stains and smells in our children's clothes. So many different functions on it but it's still so easy to use, and it's able to do some extremely large loads. I'd definitely recommend this washer to anyone who needs a new one right now. And the current price is amazing. Buy this washer.

Expected a little more
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first ever washer/dryer purchase in my life, with that being said I guess I expected more! I like others, did my research and it seemed pretty neat but I'm not too happy with how slow spinning the wash cycle is. My clothes barely move around in there and that makes me think they're not getting clean. Granted, there's no agitator in the middle but I guess I just expected more from watching it in action on YouTube vids. The peoples machine on there seemed to move around faster...and no I'm not stuffing it either. So there's that, and the fact that it seems to take long. Other than that I'm happy. Hey, it's better than what I had before...which was nothing lol.
