Very Disappointed - BUYER BEWARE !

The delivery went smooth. The guys were helpful and ran an empty test load in the quick wash setting . Worked fine. Next , I followed the directions- large items at the bottom with smaller on top. The machine was just over 1/2 full. Started the washer and watched through the glass top. After sensing, the load it began to fill with water. It didn't even fill a to 1/4 then went into the wash cycle. There were still dry area of clothes that could be seen as it agitated. I stopped the machine, moved the clothes around a little bit and restarted it. It reset itself and began to fill with water again, this time going about halfway. When the wash cycle kicked in it worked properly. That was in the cotton setting. I also tried heavy duty and got the same result where I had to move clothes around to reset itself so it would fill to the proper level. I called customer service and was told I need to use the bulky/bedding setting if it looks like there is not enough water. He said that the cotton and heavy duty settings are preset to only put in a limited amount of water. I told home upon moving clothes to get the machine to reset it then fills properly. I am not expecting it to fill to the top on every load. It should at least have enough water in it to be able to agitate all the clothes properly for them to come out clean. I think either the water sensor is broken or the load sensor is. Can't get anybody to come look at it. It's 25 days old. BUYER BEWARE

    More Looks than Function

I must admit, I got a case of the "Ooh that looks high tech & fancy so it MUST be better" :-(... I had a Samsung and eventhough there was nothing wrong with the washer or dryer, I had decided I wanted to upgrade and get what I thought would be a better washer that was more advanced & more efficient. Unfortunately I let "looks" be my desicion maker and now I have HUGE regret. This LG washer is very loud ( compared to my Samsung), it also takes an unnecessary amount of time spinning and shaking before every wash in order to gauge the load size and how much water to fill, lastly and most important...the washing efficiency is BAD. I had a garment with a light spill of a condiment and when I removed it from thr dryer (AFTER having had an hr+ long wash cycle), the smudge was still there! I could scrape most of it away with my finger. It made me question if it ever went into the washer and wasn't just accidentally put in the dryer so I REwashed it and it was only slightly better. Horrible for such an expensive machine. I regret selling my Samsung and feel stuck with this one until enough time has passed for me to justify with my husband that a new washer makes since. I would not reccommend.

Uses so little water, your clothes don't get clean

This washer is high-efficiency, meaning it doesn't use much water. For normal, only slightly soiled clothing, it's fine. Try to wash anything really dirty, however, and you will find the dirt just sitting on top of the blankets or whatever, and still in the folds of the materials. Using the heavy duty settings does not help. Washing large items like blankets alone does not help. The soak cycle is ridiculously short. In my old "inefficient" washer I could set heavily soiled dog blankets to soak all night in Oxyclean and they would come out perfectly clean and smelling clean. Now they just come out almost as dirty as when I put them in. It has lots of bells and whistles. It lets you set a start time. It has a pretty little bell that tells you when it is done. It just doesn't clean very well.

    Spin cycle just never works

I've had this for over a year and every week I wait for the already long cycles to finish the final spin cycle. The machine re-fills with water in an attempt to balance a load, this can happen for hours wasting water and testing my patience. This machine is simply not worth the frustration. In my experience, cheaper has always been better.

    STAY AWAY!!!

I have had issues day one with this machine!!!! It does not wash the clothes very well and always leaves soap residue, lint and hair all over the clothes. Aside from that, LG customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! I have had service out 3 times to document the issue and they say the machine is working properly. Its like they are working with LG to deny any warranty claims. I have spoke with LG numeous times and all I want is a replacement and they refuse. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! LG customer service is why you should stay away from anything LG. Trust me!!!!

    Tremendously Overated

The washing system is flawed. Whatever garments are placed in the machine at the start of the cycle are still there at completion. Only the clothes at the bottom receive agitation. I even tried using the "Heavy Duty" cycle where the manufacturer claims "more aggressive" agitation. Not true. As difficult as returning a washer and dryer to Best Buy will be I am in process of doing just that. Sometimes the tried and true methods are best, that is why my next machine will be front loading or have an a central agitator. This was a truly and unfortunate experience!! If you are thinking about this washer re-think your decision!

    Terrible Machine not satisfied

I do not like the way it corrects the balance. The machine will continue to fill with water over and over unless you redistribute the clothes. you have to stand by to keep an eye on it. Also you have to be careful the type of clothes you mix it is very sensitive.
