Originally was hoping to purchase a Maytag front loader, however, with some good advice from my Best Buy salesperson decided that it wasn't worth the risk because of depth restriction I have in our laundry closet, and I am glad that I went with this machine because it is actually a tighter fit than I thought, which means that the Maytag probably wouldn't have fit. So far the machine has worked well and seems to be more quiet than our previous Kenmore. We did initially have one instance within the first 5 uses where the machine was "walking." However, I am not sure what caused this as the wash load wasn't any heavier than the previous loads, but the good news is that we haven't experienced that same problem since. Machine is rather intuitive to use which is nice, since I am not huge manual reading person. Also I like the load sensing feature where the machine appears to calculate washing time length depending on the load. However, from what I can recall the only two cycles I can recall seeing were either 58 minutes or 1 hour 8 minutes on the "cotton/normal" setting. We are not very dirty people, so for us it does the trick, but haven't tried heavily soiled items to see how it might perform under these circumstances.

We bought this washer a few weeks ago and we love it! Saves so much water and has cut down on the time we spend doing wash. Run very quite which is very nice too.

As this is my first front loader I must say it is very pleasing. Works wonderfully and I love the little song it plays when it's finished. The only issue I have with this washer is when draining it monthly or twice a month the little tube under it that is used for draining isn't that long so I have to stop half way to dump my shallow bowl. Other than that a great washer I'd buy again and again.

A great buy we have made in recent past. We have been very happy with the elegance of this product, speed, noice levels and extend to which this cleans cloths.

Great washer. Takes a little while to figure out which setting is best for different types of loads. Pretty quiet. Easy to maintain.

My LG washing machine gets stains out and spins them to where I save on drying time. The sanitize setting works great for towels. And it is super quiet.

This washing machine is easy to use and the clothes come out very clean. The extra-wide door opening makes it even more convenient to clean larger loads.

All in all a really good wash machine. The clothes get clean. It seems to be efficient. Easy to set up and use. The tones are a whimsical feature.

This is one of the best decisions that I have made in recent. I love the large capacity, now I can wash all bed sheets in one load or I can wash just one piece and it adjusts to wash for just that one piece.

I love my new washing machine! It is easy to use and big enough to was blankets too. It even plays a melody when the load is finished.

So much quieter and uses less water. Will see how much on next months bill

Great product so far. Love the musical ring for ending of washing cycle. Its very quiet. Clothes comes out looking clean.

We replaced a twelve year old Kenmore elite that needed a thousand dollar repair. It had been a good unit but not worth the repair price when there was a great sale going on. We looked at several reviews on line and at consumer reports as well as asking friends their thoughts. We have several friends who own LG washers, and have owned them for over ten years , who are still completely satisfied. When the installer ran a rinse cycle to are sure all was working well I was amazed at how quiet the machine was. Later we washed a load and it was louder and vibrating some. We got out the level and realized that it was off a bit. We are hoping after the fix that it will be better and not have such issues with vibrations as that was one of the top reasons for recommendation from consumer reports. The clothes washed well and with very little water. I have only used it once but I am hoping to be able to like the unit and be able to use it for many years.

This washer is pretty great for a front loader. I was dead set on replacing my last front loader with a HE top loader - but this one is good because the drum is set at a slight angle allowing the load to sit in the water better and not rub against each other so much (that causes the worn holes in the clothing). My only complaint is this thing called "water hammering" when the water loads into the washer it clangs loudly. And I mean VERY LOUDLY. It sounds like clanging pots and pans or the pipes in the wall shaking. It's relativity easy to fix - but it doesn't completely cover the noise issue. 2 small $10 arrester valves from home store will help this issue.

The LG Washer is state-of-the-art and performs wonderfully! I really don't mind doing laundry anymore. It's easy to master all of the settings, quiet and you have the option of using a quick cycle too. I bought the pedestal which brings it up far enough that I can see in it without getting on my knees!

good choice, quiet ,efficient. extra wide door could be a problem in a tight space, so measure before buying

For such a large capacity, this washing machine works quietly yet it gets clothes really clean. Very efficient!

I really love my LG steam washing machine. It is washing my clothes so much better than my last washing machine. The washing machine is much more quieter than my last machine. It is a little nosy when filling up with water. I have been drying the door and gasket after each wash. My last machine was a nightmare. So far so good. I would definitely recommend this machine.

This washer is nice. It uses very little water, is efficient and gets the job done.

Loving LG the more I purchase their stuff. Needed a washer to replace pathetic Amana washer(barely 5 years old), so I did my homework and proceeded to my Best Buy. This was 1 of my top choices and it was on sale for almost $300 off. Have used it for about 2 months and it is better then expected. And we all love the little music the washer makes at start up and when the load is finished! Looking forward to doing laundry...
