Great Washer Huge tub

My husband and I just bought both the washer and dryer and are in love with it. We chose to get them from best buy not only because they had the no interest finance option but were also $100 cheaper per appliance than anywhere else and provided free haulaway and delivery. We are very satisfied with both the washer and the dryer. The washer has a huge tub but the only down side is that it seems to take a while to wash the clothes but that might also be due to the size of load.

Not A Top-Loader Fan Anymore...

I purchased this top-loader based on all the positive reviews and thinking I didn't want to mess with a front-loader and all the problems we had with our old one. My first wash was unbalanced and I only discovered this when I went down to check on the load and noticed the ERROR reading. One of my biggest problems, however, was that our clothes always came out all twisted up. I used to hang dry a number of our polyester clothing: sports clothes and fleece items. They were so badly wrinkled I ended up throwing them in the dryer, but I ended up ironing so much of our clothing! The detergent dispenser is a drawer that comes out over the clothing and I accidentally spilled some fabric softener directly on to the clothing, which was then stained! The glass top fogs up immediately, so I don't know the point of it since you can't view what's going on in there! I must give kudos to BEST BUY and their 30-Day Warranty! I was able to return this model for the LG front-loader and am happy! My clothes are no longer mangled!

Stable Washer

Compared to the front loading Whirlpool Duet on pedestal, this machine is quiet and rock steady. Huge improvement.
Unfortunately, I think items don't come out as spun dry as they did in the Whirlpool machine. Also, the glass top condensates during use, so when you open the lid, all that water drips down onto the spun items. So for that, I downgraded to average performance.

Extremely easy to use and my clothes have never felt cleaner.
Reduced water consumption is a definite plus. Clothes are almost dry when cycle is finished.
Very happy with this purchase!!!

Lots of button's and choices to choose from, but very easy to learn. I was concerned about a machine that didn't have an agitator. No worries! It works fantastic

Nice machine but has a few quirks!

Overall this machine performs well enough, however, I do not like how it tangles up my clothes like a plate of spagetti when it is finished. I have to pull them apart. Also, the laundry soap dish will not come out without help (too slippery) and is always full of water. I just started putting the detergent right in the water without taking it out. The only other things i can think of is that the bleach fumes are eating away at the paint around the cup and the steam setting on the dryer doesn't seem to work. I don't think it was made to steam out wrinkles. Do two good ratings and two average make an average? Probably.

Capacity is great ... 10 pairs of jeans & workpants in one load, all came out clean & smelling fresh. Handles kingsize quilts/comforters easily. And uses less detergent & softener. Clothes come out practically dry so the old dryer has it easier. Load balance can be a bit touchy but it usually fixes itself.

Great Capacity, Disappointing Wash

I usually just get the whatever is cheapest because I don't usually have the disposal income for such expensive purchases, but after my last washer caught on fire (yes, washer, not dryer) I decided to try quality over cost. I did a ton of research, and overall this washer seemed to get the best reviews. I've had it for about 3 weeks and am sorry to say Iam disappointed.
I was ready for the lower-than-expected water levels, and made sure to read every review and tip on properly loading the clothes (evenly, and one at a time) and being careful not to overdo it on the detergent. No matter how I tweaked things, the loads aren't coming out clean. I am embarrassed to admit how many hours I sat watching my laundry wash, and I just don't see the turnover that should be there. The clothes that end up on top when loaded last stay there the entire cycle and never get end up under the water. I have to throw them in the bottom of the next load to make sure they get washed.
Oddly enough, it seems to wash the big stuff like comforters really well, and my whites came out gleaming (except for the socks on the very top). The stuff at the bottom comes out impressively clean too.
I really wanted to like this washer, especially since I can finally fit my king-sized comforter in there and it does not eat bras like traditional agitator-style washers. However, I had to send it back. It was just too expensive to not get everything clean the first time. I may very well have gotten a dud, but I'm not willing to risk it.

The barrel is huge, I can easily fit a king sized blanket in and I can wash all my towels in one load.
The only down fall is that there is no hand wash cycle... but you can change the settings and spin cycle manually.

I love the washer!!!! It has great features, holds HUGE loads, and looks great! I don't quite like how there is no reminder to close the drawer with the detergent and softener dispensers. Its a real drag to come out and notice it open and have to start the entire or however long process again. That is the only drawback, otherwise a GREAT machine!

After our previous washer bit the dust, we opted for the new and fancy. The Energy Star ratings and price are what really brought us in. The personal recommendation by our sales associate as an owner and explanation of the benefits are what closed us. We aren't particularly messy and a big boy industrial stain remover wasn't necessary. And we really love the little tunes it plays when it starts and finishes the loads.

MY QUILTING FOOL WIFE LUVS THIS MACHINE!

HAPPY CUSTOMERS here! After fixing our 7 year old GE washer twice we decided to trash it after the 3rd failure. Mind you we have excellent, high quality well water on a stable power grid in a remote rural area. This LG has great features and no agitator which my wife prefers. It is VERY quiet and the controls were easy to figure out without the manual so she gets the water levels she needs.

We purchased the set of this washer and it's matching dryer because of the energy star rating, high reviews on Bestbuy.com, and large capacity. A king comforter does fit inside the washer, but it's too big for the dryer to accurately sense when the bedding is dry. I do like the chiming song when the cycle is complete. Overall, I'm very pleased with this washing machine. It was a great purchase.

Nice large capacity top load washer. Best buy offered the best price in my area for this machine. Top loading, don't have to bend like u have to with font loaders. Front loaders are notoriously hard to keep dry and potential for mold growth. I wish it was a little more quite since it is located close to my bedroom.

Extremely pleased with the product so far. Purchased the LG Washer / Dryer Set During the July 4th Sale Days and Best Buy also did "Price Matching", which saved a few more dollars.

I love the capacity and money saving features. GET A TOP LOADER. The best by far. Cleans laundry thoroughly. I put mine to the test with company from out of town with towels for bathing and for swimming. Steam features are a BONUS. Performed beautifully. I would most certainly recommend this model to anyone. Takes on comforters with ease.

Mom bought this a few yrs back due to the good reviews and she was spot on. This thing is way out of our last washers league and my clothes come out great - looking like brand new after years of washing. We also have the dryer. You should by that as well. They've both been perfect and a joy to wash my clothes in.

Really love the ultra capacity drum and the fact that it is an all steel drum and not steel and polymer. My comforters fit well in it. It washes everything very well no matter what the load size.

Only issue I have is the times it needs clothing to be adjusted. If you want to wash while leaving home. You just have to hope the laundry doesn't become uneven. I uses speed cycle every time. It does the job every time in about 35 minutes. Clothes dry much quicker due to the amazing spin on this washer.
