I love this monitor. Works flawlessly and is plug-and-play with my MacBook Air (M1, 2020). So much real estate!

Phenomenal screen! The size and resolution are stunning. Just wish the LG 40WP95C-W were a little bit brighter but definitely not a deal breaker. Most ultra-wide screens that size are 300 nits anyway. And after a while you don't really notice the lower brightness except when compared to say a Mac Pro or iMac. Buy it, you'll love it! No regrets here! I'm in love with this screen!

I got this in "Fair" condition open-box and it's absolutely beautiful. Best Buy has always come through with their products and I'm loving this big screen... already considering getting another for my content studio. Awesome buy!!

I'm using this display with a 16" MacBook Pro (M2 Max). Purchased after doing a ton of research so I was prepared for some quirks - can't control brightness or volume via keyboard, and the display can be a touch slow to reconnect when waking the MB from sleep. As many have stated it is not the brightest monitor but it works great in my workspace. I do video editing so spreading out a timeline in Adobe Premiere or Avid Media Composer is just great. For video calls I just hook my iPhone onto the top of the monitor and use Apple's Continuity Camera feature. The resolution may not technically be "retina" but at normal working distance I can't see the pixel structure and text looks very crisp. Highly recommended!

Its got some good features. Perfect for productivity. Not good for gaming and for watching shows. There is glare on the screen. The resolution has trouble sometimes because of how odd the screen size is. You get black side bars for full screen videos and games. Games or videos can look stretched or like they are missing pieces. I don't think its worth the hefty price tag or the hefty weight.

I just came from a 34" ultrawide (3440p). I Love that monitor, but found myself wanting more height for coding work and for reading documentation. The extra pixels really do shine here for when you're needing the width and height. The picture quality is the best I've ever had on a monitor, bar none. When I'm not working, I'll sometimes use my xbox series X on it — still amazing picture. I would 100% recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a little more height and higher resolution than your typical ultrawide monitor. I'm driving this with a 2021 MacBook Pro (M1) with absolutely zero issues.

I was using a 27" nano glass apply display and another 27" thunderbolt display. I was getting tired of having to look from one to the other when working. I love the LG 40" because it's all on one screen, the resolution is great, and it's easy to use. I can have my applications open, check my email, have several menus open and work with ease. The only downside is the speakers arent't that great. It doesn't have built in camera, but I rarely use one anyway.

It took me two tries but I'm happy with this purchase. The first monitor had issues with the thunderbolt ports. I was seeing suboptimal speeds when going through my 10gbe (100mbs). It also had issues staying connected. Best Buy made it easy to swap the monitor and the second one has worked great. I'm seeing 500mbs through the 10gbe and I'm very pleased with the screen. This is my work and pleasure monitor. For work I deal with big spreadsheets a lot so the 40" is perfect for the job! For fun I do video and photo editing. Would it be nice to have a brighter screen for true HDR and more accurate color options. Sure. But this monitor fits my needs perfectly for work and fun.

As of writing this, this is the best ultrawide monitor money can buy. Yes, there are wider 49" options, but they have significantly lower pixel density. This is as wide as you can go while still preserving great sharpness. Colors are great. Curve is perfect for productivity. Ergonomics and adjustability are wonderful. Connectivity, with Thunderbolt 4, is top-notch (I'm using it on a Mac Studio with no problems.) Only minor complaint is that the brightness tops out at 300 nits - not quite enough. On most days it's fine, but when there's a lot of sunlight coming into the room it can be a problem.

Great product! Was looking for 49 inch. But came across this with more vertical screen. And it’s futureproof.

I was worried about jumping from a 27" to a 40" screen. Now I can't imagine using anything less that the 40". Text is clear, even when I switch to a small size. Curvature seems just right in allowing me to easily see information at the far sides. I've used it only a month and a half, so comments on durability have to wait. Annoyances: monitor takes several seconds to wake after I hit a key on the keyboard. To change speaker volume, must use the joystick at the base of the monitor - keyboard controls have no effect. All in all, I'm delighted with the monitor.

Perfect for my many projects and being able tosee everything I need to work on, on one screen so that I don't have to keep minimizing and reopening screens. Greatest feature is the software the allows for screen control. This is a great thing to have because it has preset window division that allow you to snap windows into different grids. Very similar to the new windows 11 feature but this has more options and has been marvelous! YAAAAAAsss

Awesome monitor for my use: Mainly business and programming. Single cable connection to main computer with, built-in hub, and speakers makes this a great monitor, especially with the 5k/2k resolution. Being able to split the screen between two computers is a productivity boost. This isn't a gaming monitor, and the speakers aren't spectacular, but for my home office workstation - it perfectly gives me a clean, uncluttered desk (I needed to use a monitor arm, the monitor stand takes too much real estate).

Can't have dual with a Mac air so this is a great compromise. Text is super clear

Beautiful modestly curved 21:9 screen. Pricey but the best for the price.
This is probably the best option for mac users that don't want to spend $1.5k on Apple Studio and have a single 27" monitor with limited stand options. I had an LG Ultrafine 5K, and I can tell you the difference between 218 to 144 PPI is not a big deal. I ended up getting two monitors without a bezel splitting my screen. I'd recommend this monitor for every Mac user who needs a more real-state in front of the computer.
