The image is great. Interfacing through HDMI protocols works. Smart applications and the operating system WEBOS have been updated. HiDef, HDR, works as advertised, 4K is impressive. Color adjustments are minimal - not so good. Sound without some A/V system is very thin and tinny and hollow. An external TV helps pick up all local HD through the air stations. Overall - for the size of the screen this is a worthy TV. The stand and Bezel are really cheap in appearance and feel, but that is about the only cosmetic issue I would highlight. LG, in general, is a reputable maker of video appliances.

Bought this tv right before Black Friday for under $280. I was a bit apprehensive making such a big purchase sight unseen (I like to look at major purchases in store first to get a better idea on picture quality, features, etc). In the end, I couldn't pass up such a great deal . I hooked it up in my bedroom as soon as it arrived and was completely blown away! Granted, I'm used to the picture quality of my 1080p Panasonic plasma that's about 10 yrs old, but picture quality is second to none, especially at this price point. I've used the Sling and Youtube apps, and they seem to perform just as well as they do on my Roku box downstairs. I've read several reviews complaining about the speakers. I really don't know what people expect. You're not going to get surround sound out of any built in speakers. They do fine for my tastes at this point.

I purchased this tv on black Friday for my Xbox one x,and so far it's an excellent choice. Beautiful color,easy setup,and great HDR.

I love this tv! Great picture, great remote, great sound. The 4k up-rez works very well for many older tv shows, increasing the visual resolution and enhancing the picture. Color is great. Lots of adjusting is possible for sound and color. The only thing that is missing is a multi-button panel for sound, channel change, etc. There's one single button to turn the tv on, and if you keep pushing the button, you can scroll through the menu and eventually adjust the volume. All in all, a fantastic television.

This TV delivers great picture and sound quality. If you are deciding between buying this TV or one that cost 100’s more - save your money and get this one. If you see it on sale then jump on this baby. Keep in mind that a new standard for broadcast television is coming, so save your cash and don’t spend a grand. I suggest you calibrate the color with no direct lighting. Also, avoid going too bright or overly saturated. It will take a bit of trial and error to get the color and saturation just right, but no TV is perfect out of the box. Avoid the default settings because they will look rather odd. Once you put in a few minutes you will really see how it pays off. Enjoy.

I'm seriously so impressed with this television! I think, for the price (even more so if you get it on sale like I did on Black Friday for $280), it's the best tv with these features you can get on the market. The picture quality is great and the sound is good as well. The software runs smoothly and both Netflix and YouTube, which are the apps I've used so far, work without any issues. Everything is very easy, and intuitive, to set up and connect. The size is perfect for a small living room.

I bought this tv because I needed a new one and couldn’t be more happy with it. The picture is great. The sound is great, but I’ll be honest, I kind of wanting to get a surround sound to give my tv’s sound more depth. I love the apps that are already installed and that you can download apps on it (if it’s available). It’s great that it has a web browser. My only complaint is, I wish the remote controller buttons were back lighted, but other than that, love everything else about it.

This TV is a worth for the price 279$. If you are looking for a 40" range TV with 4K and HDR, This is it. The only reason I gave 4 is because of sound. Sometimes I barely hear.

Bought during the Black Friday sale and absolutely worth the price. This is my second LG for a bedroom and I’m beginning to question why I keep paying top dollar for Sony TVs in my family room. I’m very impressed with the picture and everything seems like this was a good decision. Replaced a 46” Sony Z series that lost picture quality I tried to recalibrate the Sony but for the price of this 4K LG, I talked myself right into this one. Happy and glad I did

LG makes a great tv, easy setup, great picture with true color. And price at Best Buy can’t be beat.

I am not a techy, but this is the best picture on any TV I ever had. I struggle with newer technology, but this set was very easy to set up. That means scanning for channels, connecting WiFi, and attaching DVD device. Perhaps the 4K is overkill, as we have no 4k content to watch. But, I'll be ready! Best Buy low cost, also made this purchase competitive with other low cost brand name TV's who were unknown to me. So buy LG..

Perfect upgrade if you’re upgrading from a 1080p tv with no smart tv features. It’s amazing with a lot of options from sleep timers to saving electricity with dimining the tv light. It’s extreamly bright. Has Netflix on the remote as a button so you can click and boom Netflix. It’s so easy and a great clear picture. It’s super light and easy to move and includes wall mount holes on the back. Overall I think it was a great purchase.

Easy to set up with no problems. Great picture. Love that we can easily run Netflix to this new TV.

I've bought my mom and dad this 43" & the bigger 55" version of this TV. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles like my Sony Bravia but the LG picture looks way better & brighter with regular HD cable but video games and 4K content the Sony wins. But the cost of the Sony was twice that of the LG and that's where the LG wins because the TV you get is well worth the price it costs imo.

Picked up on a Black Friday Deal. I bought this TV thinking it was a smaller screen version of an LG TV that I bought last year. However, it seems the build quality of this TV is somewhat cheaper. Having said that, the picture quality is exceptional and the SMART TV features on this model work better than the higher graded model I bought last year. A great second TV. I would recommend this TV to friends and family

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this LG set. Got it on Black Friday for a decent discount. It’s not true 4K (2160P) but it has a great picture. I tried to find into on the refresh rate and couldn’t, but it is pretty high. Dark colors show well. I’m not sure if the set does HDR, but the black color on screen really looks black. The Smart TV functions well, and you have the option for wireless and wired network connections. Overall, I’m really pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it as tv that would be a good fit for a smaller family room/den.
