I bought this as a replacement for a 7 y.o. Vizio 1080p w/ 3D and for use primarily as a computer monitor. Color,picture.beauty are all outstanding BUT it takes a while to get there.Out of the box,the picture is too exaggerated but with patience and help from a website called "AVForums" I was able to calibrate the picture to my tastes. It took a couple of days of viewing and setting adjustments but now it's fabulous. I have 720p looking like 4K...The TV's native resolution is actually 3840X2160 rather than 4096X2160..your eyes won't see the difference. 4k is available through all HDMI ports but only HDMI 3 will support 60 HZ...and if you're using it as a computer moniter you're going to have to spend the extra money for a GTX960 to get HDMI 2.0 which will give you that 60hz..native of 30hz refresh is fine for streaming and movie watching..not so sure about gaming. For my use as a non-gamer and once calibration was done, I love this tv and don't regret my choice.

Im very impressed with this UHD LG television. The 49'' screen is perfect for my living room and the price was right. Compared to other UHD models this set won me over. The all around upscaling of HD programing is great, my Blu-ray player never looked better. Set up is super simple and the picture wizard is easy to use. Streaming services are built in and easy to access thru their smart remote control, the voice command is cool also. I hooked the tv directly to a cat5 ethernet cable to improve the speed and quality of my streaming services over wifi. Netflix offers a few Ultra HD 4K programming choices to show off the amazing picture quality(only available when hooked up to a UHD 4K). It is 3D ready and able to somewhat convert most programming into that format with a push of a button (2 sets of glasses included), pretty cool also. The only down side of this tv is the sound, it is not to my liking. It sounds tinny and hollow with no base. I have a great Sony surround sound system so it sync's directly to it thru the ARC/HDMI connection, problem solved. I have come to understand that the money is spent to build great looking picture displays and only adequate sound, makes sense. In all I would highly recommend this tv, I watched Star Trek Into Darkness streamed from Netflix and it was like being at the theatre again.

Bought this TV in a memorial day sale and could not be happier with my purchase. Pros: Picture Quality Responsiveness Minimal fading of picture when viewed at an angle Smart Remote that enables navigation like a Wii remote control User accounts available for individual preferences Easy to cast YouTube videos from smart phone Cons: No flash player support for built in browser. Loses wifi connectivity every now and then besides it working perfectly for my other devices at the same time. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great TV. Good deal at the time. It's top of the line for lg. I use it for my pc monitor. Endless possibilities of use when it comes to multitasking on this resolution. Never had a problem. Remote control can be a pain, but I only use it to turn on and change the volume. I don't care what anyone says but the gaming on this tv is far superior than my top of the line Samsung led.

This tv looks gorgeous and is one of the few sets under 55 inches that includes 3D. The passive 3D looks much better on a 4k set simply because of he increased pixel density. The WebOS interface is also silky smooth. Its a great set to wade into the 4k waters.

It took a little more time to set up, but the picture is spectacular and the many features built in are great. Still trying to get the Bose connected properly though - with a lack of time to sit down and just read the instructions (2 crazy kids), it's a difficult task. Having tech knowledge is a big plus with this television. A huge plus is the built in 3D which makes watching nature/science shows with my son really cool!! It's nice to have something that won't be obsolete in a few months.

This is my first 4k TV and it's great! One feature that I always wanted in a TV is that it can add up the hours how long the tv has been on. And this TV has that feature. It's like odometer for a car to tell you how many miles it has on it.

I bought this on Open Box Sale. The TV itself is crisp, light and works wonderfully. I didn't like the menu options and display personally, but that is a subjective critique. I wish the TV was larger or I would have kept it.

Coming from a Emerson 16 inch tv that was put out before hd this tv was a huge upgrade but I love it! Looks great with blue ray movies and all the features on it are great. Don't think twice buy it now

WHAT IT CATCH ON MY EYE IT WAS THE 4K ON THE PC DESKTOP 3840X2160 BUT I DID CUSTOM PICTURE SETTING ON EXPERT1 TWEAK IT THE COLOR AND OTHER, BUT IS BEAUTIFUL SO REALISTIC CLEAR I AM GLAD THAT I UPGRADED

The TV had the best quality in a TV I have seen. The problem was that the movement onscreen made you dizzy to watch. It gave me a headache to watch. I know it is a nice TV but not for me!

It's open box, initially remote was not working. i called best buy ..no response or support from lg on open box. later best buy technical team helped to sync remote in store. TV is ok..

The options this TV has are really great especially the apps available and the Web access.

Great 4K tv I use as a computer monitor. The biggest limitation to using it is lack of 4K capable devices. For example, I have multiple DisplayPort 1.2 connections which are capable of 4K@60hz but there are no DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapters available yet.

The TV out of box has a great picture and the set up for the App's is easy to set up.
