I didn't want to pay a fortune for a 4k smart tv so I waited until the holidays and got this tv for $499. The picture is great even when viewing old content. The Web OS system that LG uses is easy and works fast. The refresh rate seems to be a mystery. Can't tell if it's 60 or 120 but blurring is minimal during fast action and sports. Sound quality is surprisingly good for LED tv.

Great TV for the price (on sale $499). Easy set up got working with cable and on my wireless network in just a few minutes. Added PS4 to complete set up. Great 4K picture with Netflix. LG's smart menu is a bit cumbersome to work with. Not really sure if Charter cable box "up converts" to 4K, but still great picture. Gave it a 4 because legs/stand is very wide and I had to modify my stand to make it fit.

Overall, we enjoy the TV, but during quick refresh rate moments (during games) there appears to be a slightly slow refresh rate. If people are clapping, then the hands motion does not look perfectly smooth. The TV does great with everything else, wifi, smart, 4K, etc. 49" shown with LG sound bar

This was my first TV purchase since 2009, so my expectations were high considering the advancement in technology. First, I purchased a larger version of the HP TV I already had. I was extremely disappointed in the sound and picture. I returned it and was on the search for something in a comparable price range. After reading reviews about this product, I was sold. I'm so happy with my decision to go with this TV. I don't subscribe to HD TV, but there is a noticeable better picture quality on my regular channels. Netflix and DVDs are unreal! It looks like I am on the set! Highly recommend!

Thin design, great picture quality. Not a fan of the leg set up so mounted it to the wall. Great picture at almost any angle. In my opinion, better than the comparable Samsung. Would have given 5 stars but the remote doesn't respond from longer distances & certain angles. Samsung wins out on that issue as well as the base mount over the legs on the LG.

It took me a little bit to get used to the picture, it is definitely a different visual than what I was used to. Know that I have adjusted, I love it and the clarity is amazing. Set ups was easy as well. I would certainly recommend this item.

Well I love this TV! It's the real deal for a fraction of the cost for 4k TVs these days! I grabbed it during the black Friday week and it was a steal! Great overall TV with lots of options from the smart hub. TV is super thin and light. Wish LG would give a nicer Remote that illuminates at night.

At $500, it can't be beat on quality. However, as a gamer, I ran into difficulties. Changing to game mode or PC HDMI mode will severely lower the quality. At that point its not a 4k tv. It takes away all motion plus and leaves the user with a not so great experience. If you leave it in the standard mode, the lag is really bad and makes games unplayable. Gamers be warned.

This TV has Great picture quality and is easy to use. My only complaint so far is the netflix app doesn't work right but I don't think that is an LG issue I think it is the version of Netflix on the TV. Recommended for sure.

First experience with a smart TV and everything was easy to set up. The picture and sound are good, although a couple of minor adjustments were needed. The stand made the TV a little high for the space we had; wish it was adjustable. Have thoroughly enjoyed it so far!

Picture quality is amazing and movement is clear and crisp! The colors burst from the screen and movies/games are lifelike! I've seen clearer Ultra HD tv's out there but not near as close to the price this tv is offered at! An amazing deal! Definitely worth trying!

I bought this TV on thanksgiving evening for less than $500. This was one of the first in TVs which got sold out, many people checked with us if we change our mind before buying to let them know.
Now coming to the TV, It is one of the best for me as I already used webOS and did not take any time to get familiar with it. Tested the picture quality by playing bluray disc in a sony bluray BDPS6500 player which has 4K up-scaling as well. The picture quality was amazing for me out of the box.
This TV is having too much of controls which you can use to get the best picture. Only thing I could not test is the wireless screen mirroring of my laptop to TV using WIDI driver. 0.5 star is reduced for that.

Wide stand is only draw back It did not fit on the table we were going to use.My 50 inch Samsung has a center mount stand and it would have worked
The picture on the LG is better than my 4 year old Panasonic plasma T.V.

Wasn't crazy about the control nob on the bottom of the TV but just took some getting used to the one time I needed it when the remote was missing around the house. Great picture and I was surprised by the sound. I forgot to purchase a sound bar when I bought this and then was pleasantly surprised that is was not needed for the living room.

My $500 for this tv was worth it. Everything works well. The quality is good. I understand it's not going to be as great as TVs that cost 2x-3 times as much. I was scared about this being an IPS monitor, but no issues.
My favorite is the Smart TV function. Send YouTube to your screen at any time. Also using localcast on android, you can stream almost everything including XBMC or Kodi.
The TV physically looks really nice. I can't tell the difference between this and the $5000 models except for the screen size.
