I only usually review items if I can truly give it a 5 star. The formula I use is simple, price x quality. I got the 49 inch for our bedroom. Set up took a good hour and a half or so. This was getting the feet installed and out of the box, getting it connected to wifi, doing 2 updates, logging into my app acounts, sling, disney plus, netflix, etc., fine tuning the picture and audio. The picture quality is amazing. However, not out of the box. I made sure I turned off power saving and auto brightness off. Used the HDR picture setting and tweaked some of the contrast, color, and wam scale settings. I was going into best buy to purchase the 7 series model but after viewing the 7 to the 6. They have Identical panels. Only difference is the 7 has bluetooth and the magic remote with voice control. The 6 does not. In my opinion not worth the xtra money. You can download the Web os app and use the pointer just like the magic mouse which is cool. Also hooked up my google hub for voice commands. All in all a great purchase for the money. I gave ease of use a 4 star only because there is so many things this tv can do and even though I love that about it. May not be easy to set up for some in experienced people.

Not a great HDR tv... no way of adjusting screen location or size... just general settings. Screen randomly darkens and is grainier than every other hdr tv I have owned...

Disappointed. The TV was delivered with a cracked screen. I ordered it online and when we were finally able to have the geek squad come to my home to have it installed due to the COVID-19 lock down it was discovered that the screen was cracked. The geek squad tells me That they cannot find a replacement for the identical TV and therefore I spend an additional hundred dollars to replace it with the closest to the one I originally ordered . I’m still waiting on the TV and the geek squad.

I bought this tv to keep in the bedroom. I have spectrum tv as my cable provider and load and behold it does not work. You CAN NOT DOWNLOAD IT only the apps the tv has in the menu. If it's not ahh well . Its difficult to use. Not user friendly. I will be returning it once the stores open up again.

You should not review things you just bought... However, I am replacing a pc of crap and need to tell of the experience. This LG is all they promised. Other reviews said great sound. That is an understatement. It is unbelievable. Most flat screen TV's have horrible sound and I used to have to connect to my stereo. No longer. The rest for me is all about power savings because I live on solar power, This 49" unit uses half of what the 49.5" one does with no loss in sound or picture quality and 1/3 of what my old set used. 1/2" difference, but 1/2 the power? Doesn't seem possible. The picture as expected is amazing. Setting it up was easy, even for an old guy. So, I have a TV that uses a lot less power, needs no sound bar and is simply amazing. Sorry that I can't say anything about all of the smart TV features because I don't use them.

This TV fit perfectly in an IKEA bookcase (the 50" was too big) and the price was right, so I pulled the trigger. The image is excellent. I run through a Nakamichi soundbar/sub/sat setup, so can't comment on the sound. But the most disappointing aspect is the inconsistent operation of the smart features. I'm running 5Mbps to a wireless router in the next room, but apps and programming frequently hang as though they're spooling, take forever to load, etc. The OS and apps are all up to date. I have an Apple TV connected via HDMI2 (it streams just fine, no issues), but even that is wonky; I have to go to the TV's Home screen, go to the Netflix app, then go right back to Home before it will show me anything (like the Apple TV home screen on HDMI2) other than the pretty pictures of Europe and the South Pacific. It's a bit of a pain, but it works; I just have to use two remotes and dance around a bit. But I've given up trying to watch Netflix, YouTube, Prime etc. natively through the TV. Five stars as a monitor, one star for the smart features.

Seriously, turning on the TV is annoying due to how many times you get a "updating" notice, followed by pure static in background. Not a bluescreen, background, anything else but ROARRRR. Maybe this is a setting I have to find, but why not default? Other than this annoying gripe, the picture is amazing, at full volume it's hard to hear someone across a room. So the speakers are decent enough for just about anyone. It's a great TV for the price. I will recommend to anyone needing a TV on a budget.
