LG soundbars are excellent

And it's definitely a step up, granted the other was almost 3 years old with lots of use, immediately I noticed a difference. Surround effects are noticeably better, prior to the soundbars I had a 2400 watt 9.2 atmos system and I've been very happy with both of them. That said the sl9 is definitely on another level and I am happy I went to the next tear in the LG lineup. The wireless surround speakers are great addition and I'd buy them again for both

Great soundbar with a wifi issue

I would say the surround speakers are an absolute must with this set up. I also want to mention that for whatever reason, this item interferes with 5ghz wifi signals, which tanks the speeds. When the soundbar is on, I have to switch everything else to 2.4ghz.
