For most people would be a reason to return. If you can get the setup correct or maybe have lg auto initiate the best formats you will be pleased with its performance.

Whoa....not even partially true. I received a new LG 5.1.2 channel soundbar with wireless subwoofer, Dolby Atmos & DTS:X (black) as a Christmas gift. It came from Best Buy in Strongsville. Never knew such crisp clear sound existed. Need one? Go there or go on-line to purchase. Just DO IT!!!!!!!

This thing is not only loud but it enhances the sound while watching a movie. I have only had this for a couple of days and so far I love it. It works well with both google and alexa. The bass is loud enough for me and my use so no complaints in that department. I will be buying the wireless rear speakers next month for this soundbar.

It sounds dark and muffled. I tried the S8y Soundbar before this and the center channel was way better. The only reason I returned that one is because I wanted the extra channels this one provided. I was not expecting it to step down in the center channel performance. It’s really unfortunate because it worked great with my LGC1 otherwise. I ended up spending a lot more money o a Sonos arc and sub. If LG would have made the Spy9 with the same center channel speaker as the Sp8 I would have kept it been very happy.
