My wife's washing machine had lasted 40+ years. Thanks Matage! It developed a leak and was not worth repairing. We knew that anything we bought would have many more features and were not disappointed. The cycle time was longer than the old one but the results were amazing. It is very quite. My wife is very pleased.

I chose the LG based on Consumer Ratings from Consumer Reports, reviews I read on-line from the LG site as well as reviews from consumers who had purchased from Best Buy as well as other Big Box Stores. The washer is performing well and I have had no problems with the machine itself. Even based on my review below I would purchase again. I have had the machine almost 4 months. Features I miss; no light in washer tub, it's a long way down to the bottom picking out dark clothes. The reviews were right on the money stating if you were short it's hard to get to the bottom, even harder when the clothes are small, dark and no light. Washing options are somewhat limited, can't pick and choose cycle settings, temperatures, and duration. Some of the settings are in prepackaged groups. Example: Turbo-Wash won't let you use hot water. The wash cycles are very long. Example: Delicate Cycle is 56 minutes. Not all wash settings will let you spin on low. There is not a bleach indicator setting on the washer. For example, if you accidently pour bleach in the dispenser and wash on darks, the water runs through the bleach dispenser no matter what setting you use. There is no light or option to turn off.

Our 15 year old washer and dryer lived in the garage, so there was no need for a fancy looking replacement. Did some research in a couple of different places, and this one kept popping up, so we decided to try it. We're very happy with our purchase- the washer is not complicated to use, washes very well despite not having an agitator, and the bonus is that it's gentle on our clothes.

Really appreciate the large capacity tub. The sensors on the tub load capacity is amazing. I don't have to guess how much water is needed, therefore, I am saving on water. I especially like the detergent and fabric softener holder. I also like the high tech cell phone problem solver. I am totally satisfied with this product.

First thing is I read the reviews throughly before the purchase and was concern about whether my family's clothes would get clean enough. Well they do. The way this machine works everything even with a large load the clothes gets throughly soaked and agitated. I actually watched the process through the lid for a single wash. I got nervous when I saw that there wasn't enough water to cover all the clothes. But as I watched all the clothes got "sucked" into the bottom of the washer as if something was pulling them down directly. I was amazed. Of course the end product is when it is done. The clothes looked great, smelled great, and ready for the dryer (damp). The machine is quiet too. The loudest part is when it drains and you hear the water enter the empty drain behind the washer. The pump is silent, you just hear the rush of water entering a hollow tube (drain). I would definitely recommend this for a large family like ours 6 in total.

This LG washer/dryer is by far the best appliance set I ever purchased. It's easy to use as programmed by turning the knob and even lets you pick and set specific options. Very quiet during use. The door opens from the top or side which is also convenient. Love the steam function, also senses when clothes are dry are so far its been great. Got it in black stainless steel and looks beautiful. I highly recommend!!!!

Best Buy staff recommended this LG washer for our family, and it had a good rating in Consumer Reports. They were both right, this machine is great. Our family has owned this machine for a while and we are very happy with it. I actually enjoy doing the laundry with this LG washer. It may be because it's a smart machine, it's easy to use, it gets the clothes clean, it has a huge tub so I can do a large load and finish sooner, or because it whistles a cheery tune when it's finished. We are a family of four and while it has many features and special functions, we almost always use the standard wash and everything comes out clean. Yet, it is nice to have a wide selection of cycle options. We especially like the bedding option, pre-wash, and waterproof options. In our family, if it's a few hours before something "big," we certainly forgot to wash an essential item; kid's sports jerseys before their big game, a dress shirt before a big meeting, a favorite skirt before a big night out. Fortunately, the speed wash cycle has saved us from a few meltdowns by giving a quick, last-minute clean for those items we forgot to wash. Thank you LG speed wash for saving the day. Overall, this is a great machine, the Best Buy store staff were helpful in the purchase, and the delivery was professional. A+ all around.

One of the best features on this washer is it really is nearly silent. Except of course for the 20 second long song it plays when the wash is done. I sorta wish they would let you select / upload a different tune. Huge tub, can fit significantly more laundry in it than you should probably do at one time, auto sensor to determine load size also means you don't have to select S/M/L/XL, it knows how much is in it.

We are pleased with our new washer. It has a high capacity and simple to load. The soap dispenser makes it simple to get ready. The machine is very quiet and does not vibrate during any cycle. The electronics make it look complicated but it is quite simple to use.

I read many reviews, most were good so I bought this washer. Im so happy I did I absolutely love it. You can do huge loads and I mean huge, or do small loads. Everything comes out so clean, imagine that, a washer that actually cleans your clothes. I especially love the music it plays when its done, it always makes me smile when I hear it. Just buy it you wont be disappointed.

Large capacity. Tons of cycles. I have been trying them and am finding them useful to target specific needs. I like using the sanitize cycle on whites. It really cleans the clothes well. I have reduced my need for extra cleaning agents. I also like the top load better than the front load I replaced. I think it cleans much better and is easier to get clothes out.

I purchased this item a little while ago, and so far it's great. I like the design, and I think the control panel is very easy to use. It does a nice job on my clothes. It's very deep, so if you're short like me, you might need something to help you get clothes out of it, but it's great overall.

This washer is so much nicer than my older one, so I’m obviously happy! It was a great deal for an LG washer with such a high capacity. I put a queen sized comforter and an UGG full sixties heavy duty blanket and it fit great with room to spare! Super quiet as well. Doesn’t hurt that it looks pretty!
