This TV has spectacular detail. The 4K is great on the OLED. I also added a 4K DVD player.

Went to purchase a Sony, but after reviewing Tv's in store, decided to purchase this LG.

I love LG OLED TV's. They are the best value for the money.

We have owned Pioneer Elite and Samsung SUHD TV's. This was bought for the bar area in our basement. The picture is hands down the best picture of any of our current tv's. I highly recommend this tv.

The LG OLED has the best picture available and the technology cannot be best

I didn't want to spend the extra money for an OLED, especially since I've been a Samsung TV person all of my life. However, after purchasing a 4k HDR Samsung, and not really getting the "wow" factor I was expecting, I decided on the LG. The 24 month financing option helped pushed me towards this TV. I'm not disappointed at all. The picture is amazing. Sometimes it looks like I'm watching it "live". Everything looks like I'm right there in the action. Premium channels look the best. Other channels like TBS, WGN, and a couple of others tend to show some "judder" for some reason. I don't think it's the tv since 99% of the channels look great. I'm not really a movie person, but find myself watching more movies simply because the picture is so good. Don't hesitate to upgrade yourself!!!

This is an incredible TV with the best image i've ever seen. I am only giving it 3 stars because of the ordeal Best Buy put me thru. There was a 4 inch line in the TV that was a defect in the panel. Best Buy wouldnt let me return it even though it was brand new. I had to deal with LG tech which took hours of on the phone time. Took a half day off to meet a technician but he called me that he couldnt come because they didnt have the part ! Called Best Buy again and they kept putting me on with the Geek Squad and saying i couldn't return the TV because i was out of the 14 day window !. After much frustration i called Best Buy Corporate and they took care of it right away and sent me a new TV. The new TV works perfectly. I would have given the TV a 5 star if it wasnt for dealing with Best Buy. Make sure you are willing to deal with some hassle if your TV is defective and you need to return it. Also make sure you chose a good HI SPEED HDMI cable. I wound up going with HDMI over fiber optic cable.

I have been watching a 40 inch tube, and when it went i decided to go to BEST Buy and look around. I wound up purchasing a LG - 55 Class Oled Smart 4K Ultra HD TV . They brought it out and set it up 2 days later and I can not tell you what all I have been missing on TV. The colors are out of this world,so clear and black is black.There is not enough I can say to tell you what a BIG difference this makes. The color and picture in the store was much better than other makes and models on display and that is what sold me but when it got set up at home is what made me wright a review, WOW. I did not buy a sound bar and so far I don't seem to need one, it sounds great.

Best picture I have ever seen. Just wish I could have fit a bigger TV is the only regret. It's lighter than the LCD's, easy setup, remote is a bit of a learning curve. Highly recommend

I have been reading about, and waiting for this TV since it was released. Hands down best picture on the market and at the price of 2999 I think it's a great buy. Definitely not a budget buy but when getting this type of quality in picture and features you obviously know it's going to carry a premium price. I have had it for almost a week now and the only small issue I have is that the sound quality is not as good as I thought it would be especially since the sound was designed by Harmon /Kardon. Thankfully I have a LG soundbar that quickly resolves that issue. I have yet to experience lag of any kind on this set and gaming is silky smooth. The only question I have to the public since I just got this beautiful TV is what custom settings are best as currently I have my TV on vivid mode and it's hard to beat the beautiful output on the the picture quality. The set up was very easy and the magic motion remote is a drastic improvement over my older model LG (now currently my bedroom LED TV). I can't really speak to the 3D function as I have yet to try that feature out but to me 3D is more of a gimmick rather than a need. I guess the only downfall of having any kind of 4K TV at the moment is content. But surprisingly enough YouTube has some great content to show off and Netflix/Amazon Prime also has a limited amount of content as well. Hopefully the Cable/Streaming services will speed up the content for release but until then I can be patient until they do........ OLED is the way to go as LED can't match the picture perfect black levels which helps pop colors in a more vibrant way. The color spectrum is the best thus far with OLED and others will only play catch up. LG has always been the choice of brand for me and this TV has only proved to me once again that I have and continue to make LG my choice for best TV manufacturer as they lead the way with innovative screens and displays. Hands down the LG 55ef9500 or 65ef9500 are the best 4K TV's on the market that money can buy. You should Also feel that you have future proofed yourself with this purchase for years to come. Hope this review helps anyone thinking about buying this set! Do it!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Definitely the best looking picture you can buy, the smart features are seamless to use and the sound is good but I always recommend a soundbar regardless for optimal sound.

It's my dream television. I was waiting for this tv for almost months for a rate down but at last got am open box piece at best price. I liked it very much.

Love this new tv what a difference in the old one I had much better color and black is black, sharp just can't say enough to about good things about is LG

The 3D on this tv is good but you have to be in the middle of the viewing area

I bought this TV on a whim, but have been watching all the 4K TV's and loved the OLED offerings. I really love this TV. The picture is amazing. The power consumption is next to nothing. I wish I had more 4K content like the 4K OLED specific content which blows all my guests away. If I had to select the one down fall is the remote, every little movement causes the mouse to pop up. I want to use it like a traditional remote sometimes, but it switches so fast. But the layout and the wheel make it fun to use.
