This is a must have TV! The picture is beyond words. It's sleak, the color is amazing, and the smart features are easy to use. This TV blows away all other 4k screens. Nothing compares.

I had several TV's this year like Samsng 7000 50in (awesome tv) and Sony 55", to name a few, and this LG has the best picture by far and very slim design. Yes thin, top is thinner then my cell phone (photo below). When I have friends come over they are always floored on how wonderful the picture quality is. And when I put the 4k ulta movie on WOW!! and that is not an over exaggeration. It's a bit expensive but worth it.

    Best T.V. on the Market!

This OLED T.V. is the best possible T.V. Currently on the market second only to the 65" OLED from LG. Although it isn't cheap, if you are looking to upgrade your television and have the money, it is the only Television you should buy otherwise you are putting your money into something subpar that you'll be unhappy with and want to upgrade sooner than necessary. This Technology is futuristic but the picture will only be as good as the source you are streaming or playing from. You cannot possibly find content on today's market that will exceed this T.V.'s capability. Curved is a nice feature and I bought it since it is same price as a flat screen. I've always owned Samsung TVs but this is on another level. MUST HAVE! (I returned a 65" Sony XBR900c for this.

This is an experience to behold. OLED, curved 2160p. Best Buy's price, service & support was very impressive. I also purchased a curved sound bar and The Geek team, delivered and installed the TV on the wall mount, included with the TV purchase. My suggestion is to pay the difference and you will enjoy OLED, 2160p Curved, truly an experience to behold. Happy 2016

This TV has such a great picture, so nice and clear. Have this TV about 3 weeks now and simply just love it. The 3D is also fantastic. The passive 3D glasses work really well. I would definitely recommend this TV to all who are interested. You won't be sorry.

This television has great picture and offers the best in-home 3D experience currently available. I HIGHLY recommend putting the picture mode in "Game Mode" at all times, otherwise the high refresh rate will give the picture the "soap opera effect" that ruins the esthetic of any image, giving you a "fake" looking picture that is not how any program or movie is intended to be viewed. It also takes away the overblown brightness and motion artifacts, as well as other anomalies that occur during dark scenes or quick transitions. In all honesty, Game Mode should be the Standard default picture setting - watch half hour of it off and then half hour of it on and you will notice a HUGE difference. There's also the issue of "image retention/screen burn-in", so watching programming that does not fill the whole screen with picture will result in inconsistent color and lighting in the areas that were letterboxed or pillarboxed. Watching a movie or a couple episodes of a show won't hurt it, but hours of non screen filling content are harmful (something I learned the hard way). There are videos on YouTube that can help get rid of it if it occurs, and they work well. So I advise having your Bluray player set to stretch 4:3 content - and I also advise toggling the aspect ratio settings when watching certain shows to get an ideal screen fill, even if it's just a little bit of the screen that doesn't have image. The 16:9 setting is a safe bet with cable and gaming consoles. Overall, this TV is the best in-home TV I've ever had or seen, and is the only one currently THX certified. And the 3D is better than anything you'll experience in a theater - even clearer than IMAX 3D (I'm a 3D buff and I say this with confidence). Just make sure you have a 3D compatible Blu-ray player and Blu-ray 3D discs - as forcing 2D content into 3D doesn't look any good, and streaming 3D (even in 1080p) is not as clear as a disc. This TV is not for casual TV watchers as 4K resolution and 3D aren't appreciated or wanted by most, but for those who don't mind using a Smart TV interface (this one is solid and more user friendly than our previous Samsung) and don't mind toggling some settings to get the best experience (Game Mode, people - Game Mode) - this TV is a real treat for any techy. You get what you pay for, and this really is the best out there right now.

5-star TV picture, (-5)-star LG customer service

Bought the 55EG9600 June 2015, fantastic picture, colors, 3-D, up scaling to 4K is awesome. Curve is a gimmick, was only one available at the time - isn't a bad thing, just wouldn't pay more for it. In February 2016 noticed a small bright white spot in lower left corner of the screen. A small block of pixels stuck on white with a fading pattern of pixels around them. Thus the customer service nightmare begins. The TV was under LG warranty, so signed up for service call on-line with LG. No problem there. A week later the service tech shows up, makes the diagnosis that the screen is bad and needs to be replaced. Now it starts to get interesting. Given that the screen is the biggest cost component of the TV, you might assume the cheapest and fastest way of satisfying the customer would be to simply replace the set and refurbish the failed TV in the comfort of their own shop, but no! Another week to wait for parts, so the tech can fix it. The tech then replaced the screen, only to find out that the replacement screen was shorted out. So he makes the effort to put the old screen back on so we'd at least have a sort-of working TV while we wait another week for another screen. But somewhere in that process, something else went wrong and the TV now would not even turn on. Another two hours of the tech trying to replace every part he had in stock failed to resolve that issue, so now we had no TV at all. Another week and all new parts arrive, and the tech rebuilds the TV from scratch, and it appears to be working OK. However, we soon realized the Panasonic sound bar we had been using no longer worked for TV sound, even though it still worked for DVD. Hookup and settings checked, still not working. Got a customer satisfaction survey call and gave the whole story - good tech service guy (at least he was professional, polite, and hard working) but bonehead LG policy about leaving customers for weeks without a TV while they mess around "fixing" it, then leaving it with yet another problem. At least the survey gal then connected me with a customer service person, with whom I had the pleasure of retelling the story yet again. When I said the TV had a problem with the audio function, she asked if the TV speakers worked, to which I replied they did, but that the problem was with the HDMI ARC circuit which the sound bar was on. Her response was that the problem was with the sound bar. Apparently it didn't matter that it worked fine until the rest of the TV pooped out, and that it still worked fine with the DVD input. She would not accept my complaint that there could be a problem with the T Vs HDMI ARC circuit, and insisted that if the speakers worked, then There wasn't a problem with the TV. Then the kicker - I asked for her name and she hung up!!! THAT'S LG CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Buy at your own risk!! I'm waiting for costs to come down a bit more for an 80" OLED for downstairs theater room - now I'm also waiting for someone besides LG to get into big OLEDS.

    Best Picture I've Ever Seen

Pro's: Excellent picture quality with cable, ps4, Xbox, and any streaming service I've used. My favorite part is the oled tech's ability to achieve an infinite contrast ratio. No more seeing uneven backlighting in dark scenes. No clouding. I don't notice input lag when playing ps4 or Xbox on the games setting. Smooth motion when watching sports and playing games. Very thin bevel, high quality, nice looking stand. OS runs smoothly and is very easy to use for smart TV apps. Cons: The remote acts like a mouse pointer on screen but didn't work well enough to really make it easier to do what you want. There have been a few scenes on cable where I notice some crushed black's. The curved screen produces excessive reflections from lights in the room when sitting at certain angles.

First smart TV purchase and I only wish I bought it sooner. Having switched from led, I immediately noticed the colors and sharpness of the image. Also the remote having a pointer function for navigating the menus makes it a lot easier to access more content as opposed to having to click on buttons on the older remotes.

Words cannot describe the remarkable quality of displayed content on this TV. I use several input source's. My laptop for one using the HDMI input produces a flawless image of anything I am working on. Fantastic results when editing photos and video. Gaming with ps4 is out of this world. And the blue ray movie quality's just jumps out and grabs you. If your afraid of heights don't forget to look away because it truly feels like you are there looking down. The fine details of a sunny daytime scene is crisp and clear showing many little things you would normally miss. Moon light beach and low light night scens just put you in that relaxing far away zone as all of the stars, planets, and milky way of our galaxy shows up flawlessly. And the city lights wow look out. All of the neon sings and any lights shows its own characteristics and color. Even side by side. Probably one of its most prominent features is the True Black feature of this display. It gives you visualization like no other. I love it. Its just awesome. Actually my standard RCA antenna works fine as many sporting events are broadcast in high definition. It gives you the feeling of being on the sidelines or in the drivers seat. And that's just scratching the surface with all of the technology on hand with this smart TV. 3D, WiFi streaming and all of that stuff. I really enjoy its futuristic lightweight sleek design. Having a narrow bezel framing the picture and its overall appearance really makes it a desirable piece to look at and admire. The sound quality and volume preforms fabulous by itself without having it connected to any audio devices. I normally set the volume at like 30 and 50 being only half way up is plenty loud even for music videos. I have used this product for over a month now. Day and night and its just fantastic. My other TV is a 50" plasma of a different name brand. Normally I would not leave a review however this LG HD TV. Definitely deserves it. Thanks best buy. Your sales Representative was helpful and professional considering her younger age.

I've always owned the top big screens starting with Mitsubishi eons ago to Pioneer plasma. They were renowned for their deep blacks given a soothing, natural and extremely clear picture. The OLED from LG beats them all hands down. A bit pricey, but if you're looking for the best, look no further.

Really was not planning to spend this much money on a TV, but it has been great for watching as we upgrade to 4K viewing and already had a 3D BlueRay Player. The 3D glasses that come with the TV are cheap and you get two "clip-on" ones for those that wear regular glasses, so if we end up watching a lot of 3D content, we may try and find better quality glasses. The on screen selection using the magic remote is a bit of a hassle and with our entertainment system setup, I was hoping to replace our universal remote with the magic remote, but it simply didn't work. So, when having to do anything on the TV directly, you end up having to use both remotes, which is a downside and something to consider with any "special" remote.

Couldn't pass up the 3k sale price over XMAS. This TV looked great in the store but I must say it looked even better at home. The colors really stand out with the pure black backgrounds. One thing I figured out though is you can't pass surround sound out the optical audio output so if you have a sound bar you have to either run it there first or use the hdmi return. Love the TV - but for the price I'm hoping I get many years out of it.
