I am a huge LG fan, I have a few of my own and I convert my Samsung friends over when there Samsung power or picture board burns out, Straight out of the box the TV is easy to set up, picture quality and color is excellent, has all the smart TV goodies, for the money "not the cheapest" LG is the BestBuy

I had a 47 inch not-so-smart TV in a family room roughly 22 by 14. I wanted something large enough to be seen from the kitchen 28 feet away, but not so large that it overpowered the family room viewing. The 55 inch size worked perfectly. The bonus was the ease of set-up with this TV. The only issue I had was I mistakenly enabled the voice coach during initial set-up which resulted in having a vocal assistance with every keypad stroke. Thankfully the help desk was easy to use and walked me through the fix.

I have always been a LG product fan, because of quality and proven name in the electronics world. I bought a LG 47 inch smart TV 3 years back and still it’s working good with excellent picture quality. When we decided to buy another TV without a second thought LG was obvious choice and after spending few days of reasearch we decided to go with LG 4K 55UJ6300 TV and it has all the great features that you need at an excellent price. However, I am facing issues with HDMI connectivity and Screen Share features, will reach out to LG technical support to resolve the issues.

Sometime back in the 1990's we replaced our television in the living room with a 27" 720i Magnavox from Sears. Recently, it completely shut down and was retired to the city dump. I wanted to upgrade our TV and enjoy some of the technological improvements that I had heard about. All within a reasonable amount of money. I read about this 55' LG and went to Best Buy in Palm Beach Gardens to look at it closer. We both liked the picture and it had substantially all of the features that you can have. The sound was lacking, so I also purchased an LG sound bar for about $150. We have owned it for about 3-weeks now, and are both pleased with the picture and sound quality. We are both over 55 and are not interested in the absolute best picture. Value was essential. The LG TV and sound bar make for a very acceptable combination. Our living room is kind of small, and these fit in nicely. The set up was quick and simple. Both devices work fine, and we would recommend these to anyone. Know that this model of the LG TV and sound bar are not the absolute best available. You can spend into the thousands of dollars more to get a sharper picture with more expansive sound and bigger (even curved) screen. That is why I am rating this as a 4-star purchase although in my situation it is really a 5-star fit, and a 7-star value. The downside to the TV is that we have it sitting on a console. The two "feet" used to support this TV are not well engineered. They are 100% plastic and the TV could be toppled over under certain conditions. We have two cats, so those "conditions" are very possible. Next, the remote controls assume that your fingers are those of a 9-year old child, not a man with big and heavy hands. It's similar to holding a pencil and just feels delicate in your hand. I don't like the remotes at all. Everything else, I'm good with. This TV is priced right, and will give you a decent picture. We're all-in with sound bar and sales tax for under $900. By the way, there were several young folks that helped us with this purchase by answering a whole bunch of questions, and did not rush through any of it. That counts for something too, and I wanted the store to know that they have some fine people on the floor working for them.

LG 55" TV, LEGS are WEAK and break easily

Nothing but issues with this TV, screen went blank a few times, a power cycle fixed it. Sliding this TV forward on the stand/table top, the legs broke off and the jolt must have broken the screen, the display now has lines in the picture, screen replacement cost more that the TV is worth. LG won't replace it and I have a 5 Year extended warranty that Best Buy will not honor. These legs are defective and the cause of the screen to be broken. I need a replacemnet 55" TV and no one will do anything about it. I am very frustrated with Best Buy.

Best quality TV on a Budget

I am a die hard Hockey Fan, love most sports and movies. I wanted to treat myself to a big tv, a 4K tv. I spent many hours researching and educating myself on tvs. I have a bias to LG, That bias is I have never owned anything by LG that has been less that amazing and reliable, washer and dryer and previous 43” hdtv we had for 9 years. I wished I could have afforded a 70” or even a higher series 55” like the 8500 series, which had better speakers and truer hdr and higher refresh rate but was $400 more than the 6300 series. I did have a problem with Best Buy delivering my tv, they didn’t deliver on the day they said because tv was out of stock. I went down in person and they apologized and loaded the one they said they had two days earlier into my truck and knocked $40 off my price so $459. I got it home and placed it where I wanted, I also bought an Apple TV 4K to stream to the tv. I had to see the 4K resolution. There was no manual for the tv, you get a tutorial on screen, it is a smart tv and will walk you through it’s capabilities. I think the sound is ok, maybe my 9 year old tv may be better but I also am nine years older now and my hearing may be going a bit but it is sufficient, Buy a sound bar if you feel it is necessary but wait on that until you hear the 20 watt speakers. The picture is wonderful and when I saw the 4K on smithsonian earth on my tv, I thought “ it looks just as amazing as it did at the store” I had read reviews about people not getting the picture they thought they were going to when they got tv home. Well, go through all the settings, set the hdr mode on, it enhances basic cable tv programming and my sporting events look great and one day they will be in 4K. I only decided to settle for a 55” 6300 series because I have to help my wife get brakes and tires for her truck. But if you are like me and have other obligations and work hard for their money then believe me you cannot go wrong with this excellent tv. If you are wealthy and watch tv 18 hours a day in your mom’s basement, buy an OLED and sound bar and all the bells and whistles. But I cannot say enough but to trust me, you can’t find a better deal right now on a quality 55” 4K hdr tv than this one. I am again pleased with LG, they make great TVs and appliances. I am watching my baseball team right now as I write this review. If you are on the fence about this tv, hop off and buy it. It is beautiful and people will compliment it when they see it and they don’t have to know you paid under $500, they will think for sure you spent over $1000. Trust me, Buy this tv.

I love my new TV! Had to buy a new one after my very beloved Sony flat screen finally died. It's been a while since I've had to buy a new TV so I wasn't sure about all the options out there, but I knew I wanted a 55 ultra HD 4K. Almost went with another brand name that was cheaperand then I decided to shell out the extra cash to get a better quality product. I love how user friendly the menu is for the smart tv. Setup was easy and the picture looks great. The remote is kinda cheap feeling and the buttons seem to be placed in the wrong area.. hard to explain. But other than the remote it is a great beautiful tv that my family and I enjoy watching movies, sports, and playing games on.

So where do I start. This smart tv is really light weight. The smart tv features are so simple to use even my younger kids love using it. It's got lots of applications already installed ready to launch and you can bookmark your favorites sites for easy access. We love it. The image is great.

I bought two of these during a pre-Christmas sale and they are awesome. Great picture, easy to set up, and the smart tv functions work great. I bought these for two 11 year old kids so I wasn't interested in all the extreme bells and whistles that other televisions may offer. These work great for what I needed!

Just purchased the LG 55” tv during Black Friday, and I have to say, I really enjoy it!
One thing to note, it does come with HDR, but to my understanding, the display itself is not HDR but can produce the HDR-like feature. Much like how you can adjust contrast and color, it can produce HDR-like, even if the display isn’t “true” HDR. The HDR feature is only available on select third-party products like Apple TV 4K. Other than that, it will try its best to provide HDR-like qualities on cable or dish tv.
There are third-party apps available for iOS devices (iPhone & iPad) such as LG TV Plus or Smartify - which will allow you to control you tv via wifi.
My only gripe is the OS(operating system). It crashes, it will sometimes launch the webOS feature so that you browse online, but it’s not a great experience without having a keyboard on the actual remote, and it will say “there’s not enough memory” which makes no sense since we’re using it to go online and not saving anything to the tv.
4-Stars based upon LG’s OS for their smart tv features. Ended up getting an Apple TV 4K to pair with this TV to give a way better “smart tv” experience.

I've had a smaller LED TV and a 55" Plasma TV. Both are blown out of the water by the LG's amazing sharpness, clarity, and depth. From bright whites to velvety blacks and every color in the spectrum, I have never in my (let's just say) many years owned a TV as good as this one. I can plug in 3 hdmi cables, some standard component red, white, yellow cables, and best of all, it has a USB port so I can put music or videos on a USB Stick and play it on my large and very smart TV. It connects to my wireless internet, so I can stream Netflix (and many other content providers), or go into a browser and listen to my favorite Pandora stations. I am a very happy camper! Oh, and get the LG Sound bar with subwoofer - you won't regret it!
