I wrote a comment to one of the other reviews. Now that I have it for a week, I can give a different perspective and write a review. The picture on this UHD TV is very good. No complaints. Again, LG makes set up much more difficult than other brands. My TV stopped allowing internet access after a few days and it was driving me crazy. It doesn't help that LG doesn't provide you with very much in the way of instructions. Best Buy actually sent out two of their technicians to see what was going on. It turns out, the TV wouldn't allow internet access even though connected because when you turn the TV on and go to use say Netflix, it tries to connect with our directv receiver. It asks if you wish to turn on the power to that unit. You answer no, then wait about a minute and you can then go on to the online programs. Strange? yes! But the problem is solved. For those of you that buy your electronics elsewhere, remember Best Buy can and will help you when there are issues. The guys were stumped for a bit on this one, but they were smart and figured it out. Try that with Amazon!

    Worth the Money

I originally went into my local Best Buy with the intent to purchase a Sony (of comparable price). When I went in I all but told the sales representative that I just could not find a better tv for that price point, however, he redirected me to this LG 65UH8600. I was then blown away by the clarity and color richness. This TV also has such a wide variance on its color spectrum.... Where most TV's show your purple color as a mixture of red/blue... This TV gives you a true color that is unmatchable in this price category. The screen itself gives a wide viewing angle that I thought could be achieved by emptying my pocket on a higher priced OLED TV. The web OS 2.0 is so simple and convenient.... Although I highly recommend connecting via high speed Ethernet cable to achieve your fastest crisp picture on your favorite Netflix or Amazon Prime ultra high def movies/shows. I was on the fence about how this would compare to the higher end Samsung or Sony TV's... But I haven't looked back since the purchase. LG hit a home run with this one!

LG compared to Samsung was less money and much better specs. Also the regular 1080 broadcast looked better on the LG hands down!! The 3D on the LG was much easier and you didn't need expensive Bluetooth glasses

If you are on the fence, GET IT! I was a Sam**** customer. Before I saw the picture of the LG. It looks amazing! I compared online reviews, best buy reviews, and even saw it in person. You won't believe how awesome it looks. No I don't work for LG either. Just trying to relay information to others who are doubting LG. I have been converted. You will be too! Take advantage of Best Buy's delivery and setup as well.

After purchasing the LG 65uf8500 TV the uf8600 model came to market, boasting better color and contrast with new features blah- blah -blah, we decided to swap out and see the difference a little more money would bring and Viola it is apparent we made the right choice with some help from LG for advanced feature settings we are very happy. As a big Best Buy fan the wait of 8 years to upgrade our 50 inch plasma was pain free and our old eyeballs are content

    significant bleed

Unacceptable light bleed in the corners and sometimes across parts of the top and bottom. Splotchy areas of gray where it should be black. Also, I am left wondering if the local dimming is working properly as when the entire screen is black except for an illuminated icon or something similar in a corner you can tell the whole segment of backlighting top to bottom stays lit as both corners show unmistakable bleed as well as a little blotching on the side. Another less severe issue occurs when the screen is mostly the same color, a bright color, it seems you can slightly see the row of backlighting bulbs an the light looks like it is "rolling" with columns of slightly brighter light. I love everything else about this tv, the passive 3d, great sound, bright and clear picture, etc. but the bleed issue is a killer. Like the other reviewer said, why would consumers have to even think about worrying about this being a possible issue this far into the technology. It makes me think either quality control is lacking or the manufacturer thinks it is acceptable. I spent almost a thousand dollars more than I intended and this makes me regret it. Funny thing is I have two other LG tvs, one being the 60px950 60" plasma, and except for the 4k resolution of this tv the 5 year old plasma overall picture quality seems better. I don't think I would be saying this if not for the light bleeding. I would rate this at least 4 stars maybe 5 except for this problem. It is that bad.

but the tv I got has ghosting issues when watching 3D movies :(. This is my 3rd 4k tv I had in less than 2 months and the Sony 900C had light bleeding and major ghosting issue, this LG only has ghosting when watching 3D. Gonna swap it out today
