The picture beats any tv out there had Sony 900B, had Samsung 9000 series. This tv has over 240HZ processor the blacks are so pure everything you watch is new and better. This is a tv for those who want the best picture of their lives. Buy the flat it has a no glare coating and has 4K capabilities through HDMI. Sony and Samsung only have 120 HZ in all their sizes how do they justify a 78 " or 79 " tv with 120hz anything fast moving blurs and they hide the fact with their clear motion and clear action numbers. OLED is so good you won't believe your eyes.

    Best Tv Money Can Buy

After finally given up my beloved Pioneer Elite, which is still working perfectly. I think I hit another home run. The 65EF9500 is by far the best Tv money can buy. I have been in the market for a new Tv for a while now. And nothing out there impress me until now. I haven't even gotten my TV calibrated yet and the picture quality is the best I have ever seen, The contrast and black levels is better than I imagine.. Movies like The Dark Knight, Underworld, and The Matrix was made for this Tv. If you are reading this trust me you won't go wrong from buying this Tv especially coming from a Home Theater fanatic.

EF9500 Exceptional and better picture than EG9600

Just upgraded to a 65EF9500 from a 65EG9600. I have found that the EF is more vivid and picture is crisp as compared to the EG9600. Now EG9600 was better than any previous TV I owned including the Sony 900A 4K TV. Also the EF9500 3D is distinctly better than the EG9600-seems that the 3D is sharper, brighter and the depth better than the EG9600. Can not explain why since they are supposed to be the same display panel except the EF is flat vs curved for the 9600 Very happy that I chose the EF9500 over the EG9600

    Good TV

I have a bolted to the wall, 200 lb, 65 inch Panasonic Plasma that I left in my condo for my renter. I would not have replaced that TV with the 65EF9500 at this point had I moved it to my new house. Some of the programs were exceptionally dark as was with my substandard 39 inch Sony TV. It was easy to increase the brightness but I got yellow banding on the dark transitional scenes. HDR from Amazon Prime was almost too bright on one series that I watched. The depiction of the makeup on the faces of the news reporters appeared to show color that the Plasma that did not show, hence the TV appears to be somewhat better than the Plasma. I have not seen the Panasonic in a year and one half so it is not a fair comparison. The yellow banding seams to have gotten better. Video streaming a 4k with HDR is excellent but it takes a few seconds to get to full resolution. The remote control is very good. Tuning the tv is easy and you should do it yourself as the OLED is much simpler that an LED as far as adjustments. The TV appears to hang in the air with the transparent base. You should have an external sound system if you have enough money to buy this TV. Lip Sync can be a problem with an external receiver. The ARC routs the sound from your apps to your receiver. It is a cool feeling have the best TV built. Yes I recommend the TV.

I have been a life long Sony TV owner (30 years) and therefore was hesitant to switch to a new brand. After reading numerous reviews and blogs I decided to make the leap to LG. I could not be happier! This 65" OLED TV lives up to all of the hype...PLUS MORE! The picture is awe inspiring and I can't wait to come hope everyday and turn it on. The primary source of my TV watching is sports programming, NFL, ESPN, English Premier League Soccer and reality TV, like Survivor. All of these are incredible and when you put in a BluRay DVD you will be mesmerized. I have not second guessed the decision to switch for one-second.

Outstanding tv. Simple changes to settings make the picture on this TV perfect. Picture on this TV is better than my previous panasonic plasma. Settings used in store do no justice for this tv. Motion had judder and reviews online say this tv had motion issues. With just slight changes this motion judder was gone without any soap opera effect. -2 things that I think could be improved with TV is the specific mount for the TV and this TV seems very fragile when compared to other thin TVs.

I've been shopping for a TV for months; I was hesitant to spend so much on a TV but after comparing it to others I decided it was worth it. I'm glad I choose an OLED. The colors are crisp and bright, the picture looks like a photograph in motion, and the sound is great even without the soundbar/subwoofer/ surround speakers turned on. Besides picture and sound quality the TV is easy to operate and program. It's well designed with a small frame and very thin screen. Really impressive technology in a package that does it justice. Geek Squad techs delivered and installed the TV and did a great job. I recommend having them install rather than trying to do it yourself. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. The guy who sold the TV to me was knowledgeable and helped me choose other components (Bluray player, Sonos speakers, etc.), the schedulers kept me informed of the delivery time, and the installers were professional and skilled. Great experience all the way around.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the third tv I have tried with Best Buy to get the picture I was looking for. I started with Sony (nice colors), the top of the line Samsung (color really weak) and now the LG OLED 65EF9500. The guys from Magnolia were great in hanging it and they changed a few settings but I am waiting for some actual tv time usage before I get the TV professionally calibrated. If they can get the picture better than how it is out the box it will be even harder to describe the crispness of the picture, the true blacks, etc, etc. I did hours and hours of research for the perfect tv for the keeping room and this EF9500 wins the battle with any other tv I have ever seen or read about. It is a little on the pricier side and, unfortunately, only has 3 HDMI ports but other than that if you can afford it; BUY THIS TV!!!! If in Baton Rouge, LA ask for Garret, Chad, Von or one of the great salesman at Magnolia. I can't rate this tv higher than 5 stars but if BB would allow me to I would. Go look at this tv and enjoy the best picture you will have ever seen. One caveat, either buy a first class sound bar or make sure you have surround sound in your house to connect to as the sound is a little on the thin side. Bottom line, BEST PICTURE I have ever seen; picture is just like those clean loops they use at BB and other stores to show off the tv but once you get it home the picture isn't close. This tv, from any source, looks like it is running a perfect 4k loop. If there is anyone is on the fence about this tv jump over and buy it. You will not be disappointed.

    Fantastic After Fine-Tuning

I waited until the TV was on sale, then jumped. It's pricey, to be sure, and so this is a splurge. I wanted to upgrade to a 65-inch TV, though, and couldn't restrain myself any longer. A relative was delighted, as he inherited our 55-inch Panasonic plasma TV. I've been a big plasma fan for years, going back to the iconic Pioneer sets. The OLED is the first non-plasma TV that can compete with plasma when you are watching from an angle. My biggest suggestion about this set is that you patiently experiment with the picture settings, as that makes a huge difference. For example, initially I was alarmed that for football games, the football was very hard to see -- almost translucent -- and the jittery nature of a lot of fast motion was disconcerting. After playing with the settings, though, I've worked out those issues. I recommend that you experiment with the settings -- particularly advanced picture settings -- with a few shows where you are confident what colors should look like. I liked to "tape" shows on the DVR, then pause a shot and fine-tune the picture (you see the picture change as you adjust many of the settings). A particular favorite of mine to do this is the NBC Nightly News, as that really helped me get the face tones just right. Of course, there is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to favorite settings. The ultimate litmus test is what looks best to you. Understanding that, I'll share some of the settings I selected in the "Standard" picture mode, in advanced settings: OLED light: 80 Contrast: 72 Brightness: 45 Sharpness: 22 Color: 54 Tint: R5 Color Temperature: C20 Under "Advanced Controls": Dynamic Contrast: Low Color Extension Engine: Medium Preferred Color: Skin Color: 0; Grass Color: 0; Sky Color: 0 Color Gamut: Wide Super Resolution: Low Gamma: Medium Under "Picture Options": Noise Reduction: Low MPEG Noise Reduction: Low Black Level: Low Real Cinema: On Motion Eye Care: Low TruMotion: Off (you may prefer this to be on, but turning it off, ironically, improved my sports viewing experience). Finally, by all means experiment with using different picture modes for different kinds of programming. I'm finding that after fine-tuning the "Standard" mode, I'm satisfied for most kinds of programming, but you may feel otherwise. I do like to use the "Cinema" mode for some movies. Given the investment in this TV, I think it makes sense to go into purchasing it with the expectation that you'll put in some time (not hours, to be sure -- I've probably spent no more than 1-2 hours fine-tuning the settings over the course of a few days) getting the picture to look great. You might love the picture right out of the box, but I did find that this set needed more fine-tuning than I typically devoted to a plasma. I don't think that for this particular set that professional calibration is particularly necessary.

This is a follow-up to my glowing review from December 9th. This TV without a doubt has the most amazing picture I have ever seen! However, QA from LG is lacking. I have returned 2 sets at this point, each with different problems. I thank Best Buy for helping me work through the issues and get exchanges done so quickly and effortlessly. However, customer service associate told me there was another customer that was on her 4th set and another on their 3rd. Not sure what the problem is with these TV's but for the amount of money we are spending, nothing short of perfect can be tolerated. Third set is inbound on the 10th and I have until the 15th when return policy expires. Good luck to anyone buying this TV. You will love the picture but be aware of other issues with it. Color washing out. Stand malfunctions. HDMI port issues. Wi-Fi issues.

I don't know how anyone can give this beast less than 5 stars? This thing is sick! It reminds me of the first day I saw an HD picture. It's not fair to compare this with any other TV on the market. I particularly like the apps on this TV. I did wrestle over the flat or curved debate and I'm glad I stuck with the curved. In a screen that size its a very slight curve and it does seem to improve depth. I do know the price was obscene on this however after the price drop to $5,000, the free $800 4K TV plus the free wall mount and free installation and calibration it wasn't that bad. That's about $1200 in freebies, net result $3800 and 2 years interest free money. It's good enough because this is a game changer for sure.

By far the best tv I've ever owned. Picture quality is outstanding. Best tv period. Web OS 2.0 is brilliant. The flat has HDR built into into the HDMI while nothing really uses it now it is good for early adopters as it future proofs the tv. The 3D is phenomenal just like the theater. There's some initial screen judder that is easily controlled through the advanced display settings. I'm very happy with the tv.

I was interested but at $7k it was to expensive. Then LG put it on sale for $6k and I was pretty sure I would get it. I walked in on Sunday to find it a further $1k cheaper and including a free 49" 4K bonus tv! Sold! The picture looks awesome but even better once I calibrated it a bit based off settings from AVS. Now to pick up a newer receiver that has full HDMI 2.0a support!

Words cannot describe this tv fully! I have never owned an LG tv before, much less an Oled and couldn’t’ be happier! Was a bit apprehensive about spending such a large amount of money on a tv but after numerous visits to the store and much research on line – I pulled the trigger! Straight out of the box, the picture is breathtaking. I am a HUGE gamer and that was one of my worries that there would be noticeable lag, but I saw none. Fallout 4, Smite, Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs, all play just fine with no discernable lag. Best picture of any set I have ever seen! No buyer’s remorse at all! Now, back to watching my Oled!

I did my homework in researching all the OLED sets. The LG surpassed all the others, Sony Sansung Mitsubishi. Their product was 1st in every category, especially return ratio which if you're paying this kind of money you want it perfect right out of the box. I engaged Best Buy to not only deliver but install (wall mount) my unit. They were quite thorough and probably worked for 2 hours. Afterwards, they made sure everything worked properly. I have a home theater system they connected as well. Needless to say the picture is by far the most bright, clear, crisp and detailed I've ever seen. Sports almost looks 3D and/or fake! Incredible is all this deserves, well, also amazing! FYI when I went to Best Buy I had read a review that said they threw in a 49" LG LD 4k Smart Tv with this purchase. I tried it and it worked! I said I've got 30 minutes here and I want this one (65 LG OLED 4k Smart TV and give me the 49" free. They did it!! The 49" was $750. What a deal at $4999 and a free $750 Tv to boot! I'm very happy with my purchase and am enjoying every minute of viewing all my favs.

This is the most outstanding monitor I have ever seen. And I have seen and owned many. Infinite contrast ratio is no joke. Response time is fast. Playing PC games at 60 fps was no problem. There was no lag or jitter or ghosting of pixels. Advice to all as I have always been an early adapter (I had a gateway destination PC/TV in the mid 1990s and switched to an NEC commercial flatscreen before LCD TVs even existed): Throw away your set top boxes and cable boxes. Run this TV off of a mid tower PC. Even a moderate nvidia graphics card will put out HDCP 2.0a with HDR (12 bit color depth) at 60 Hz. All current blu-ray PC drives will already be able to play 4k blu-rays. Did I mention contrast ratio? Black is really!!! black. even between bright pixels. That moment between clicking play on a blu-ray menu before the video starts looks like the TV turns off. Its still freaks me out. NASA's hubblesite high res images as backdrops make jaws fall to the ground. You will not regret buying this TV.
