Customers are saying

Customers value the stunning picture quality, deep blacks, and excellent contrast of this 65" OLED TV, with many praising the impressive 3D capabilities. While some noted a higher price point and potential for motion blur, the ease of use and wide viewing angles were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects. The OLED technology received significant praise for its superior picture quality. Concerns regarding input lag and potential burn-in were also raised by a smaller number of users.

    Quality control in question

I bought this tv on Jan 2 and it was scheduled to be delivered on Jan12. While I was waiting for that day to come I went to another Best Buy that had a Magnolia room so I could see how good the tv looked in a dark room sense the Best Buy I purchased it from did not have a Magnolia room. When I got to the magnolia room that same tv was not working. I asked the salesman what was wrong. He stated that he thought there was a problem with the power board, but I don't think that was accurate because there would have been more tvs in the room that would not be working if that were the case. This most certainly threw a flag up for me. I received this tv on Tuesday jan12. It was set up and running by 12:23 and at 2:46 the picture went 1/2 grey on the right side and 1/2 white on the left side and would not respond to the remote. so I turned the tv off and back on.The picture stayed black and would not respond to anything with the remote or the joystick that's on the tv other than the power button. I have since tried unplugging it for hours. I am very tech savvy so don't think I hit the wrong button or have the tv set up wrong I assure you everything is right I called best buy and they scheduled to bring an exchange on Sunday Jan 17th. I go on line to see if anyone else is having this problem with this tv. In my research I come across sites talking about the 2016 CES show where I see that LG now has tv's that you can roll up like a poster and tv's that are 8k. In my opinion I think that LG is striving so hard to be the front runner that they are starting to let quality control fall by the way side. After I keep walking past seeing that tv sitting idle in the tv room thinking about how much I payed for it,I have since went back to Best Buy and told them that I just wanted to return it. I don't want the next one going out just after I can't return it any more. I'll just go back to using my 55 sony 3D tv.

Poor Customer Service and Poor Quality

I purchased an LG 65EF9500 smart TV on Nov 23, 2015. It was installed Dec 9, 2015. The TV is beautiful as was working very well until Feb 25, 2016 (effectively working for 3 months). On this date a thin line appeared and ran across the bottom 3rd of the TV and is seen on every medium (cable, Apple TV, Chromecast). The $5,000 TV is defective and after verification from an LG approved TV repair person that the unit is in fact defective, LG refuses to replace the 3 month old $5,000 TV, telling me they will only replace the panel in a repair. Initially I was told by their representative Daniel that their process for replacement was to have a 2nd repair person come to my home and inspect the unit again. The appointment was emailed to me followed by a phone call from Daniel confirming the next day appointment. When I contacted the repair shop they informed me that the correspondence they received from LG was to order a panel for repair. I called LG for the third time only to be told by Robert (Rep#10243) that they use to replace the TV but now only repair it with a panel. As a consumer who paid $5,000 for an LG TV that only worked for 3 months, this is unacceptable. I will never consider an LG product again and I will tell my horrible experience and LGs tone deafness to their customers to everyone who will listen. RG-

Best Picture Quality on all 4k TV’s.

I am a multiple Samsung TV owner, enjoy having the same software on all the TV’s for streaming Netflix and Amazon Video. So walked in Best Buy to purchase 4K Samsung but my wife said why do you want that TV when this one is 10 times clearer. I never even gave another brand a chance until I saw this LG OLED in person. It is hands down the best picture I have seen. I walked away from a Samsung 78inch so buy this 65 inch OLED and it was the best decision I could have made.

This television has incredible clarity with sharp colors and deep blacks! It's extremely hard to watch shows, movies, etc. on anything else after you've experienced this level of immersion!! ENJOY!!!

This tv is by far THE BEST tv anyone can get. The picture is just flat out amazing and the detail is stunning. Unlike its big model for 2016 which has HDR this model is compatible with HDR which still will support the pass though. If you spend most of your time in the family room watching tv then invest into this TV it will not let you down!

Great Color, Picture, Depth, Poor Motion?

    Posted .

I love the colors and the clarity of the picture of this TV, but the motion rate seems to be a real detriment. Watching a golf ball fly or people running quickly, fighting scenes, etc., seems to really blur the picture. I'm not sure of this is a "defect" of the model or processor, or an issue with this particular TV? I wonder if anyone out there has had similar issues? I plan on calling the Geek Squad out to take a look. For $5000 and from LG I expected flawless performance, nothing less. I couldn't in good conscience recommend that a friend pay $5000 for this model.

Horrible picture quality in low-light scenes

I had a Samsung LED TV before this one, and I was excited to try OLED, especially after reading all the glowing reviews of this TV, but I have been seriously disappointed. In bright scenes the picture quality is fantastic (so if all you want is to watch sports and programs filmed in broad daylight, this TV might be a good choice), but in dark scenes there is horrible quantization noise. There are grainy, blotchy, shifting patterns in dark parts of the scenes that are horribly distracting. To verify that the problem is with the TV display itself and not (a) the content or (b) the built-in streaming apps, I hooked up the same Roku 2 to both my old Samsung TV and the new LG TV and watched the same dark scene streaming over Amazon. On the Samsung TV, the image was perfect. On the LG, the image was horrible, with quantization noise dancing around the darkest parts of the scene and spoiling the experience.

    Best TV I've ever had

I got it 4 weeks ago from Magnolia in Bellevue, Washington. One of the best TV's I have ever had. But I am more impressed with the customer service team with Magnolia. I want to extend a personal thank you to Onel Dolce for customer service.

Image not better than plasma, Magic Remote is poor

    Posted .

The screen is not better than my 8 year old Samsung 58" Plasma, in fact it's much darker, and NOT worth $6K. The so-called Magic Remote is the worst type I've ever used. They tried to reduce the number of functions on the remote and went WAY TOO FAR! Deleting unwanted channels is MUCH too complicated. Our remote did not have the icons as shown in the thin, simplistic Owner's Manual. The remote has an irritating curser that comes on-screen when it's not wanted and is almost impossible to turn off. We're HIGHLY disappointed.

What more can I say?! It's OLED. Why settle for less when you can have the best?! With OLED, you will never have any regrets.

It's ONLY failing is three HDMI inputs. I have a PS4, Apple TV, Roku, cable box, wii, and blue ray player (although that's a bit dated now) many other TV's offer 4-5 HDMI inputs and most people don't go with massive recievers anymore. That is my only complaint otherwise the TV is fantastic.
