Way to dim. Can hardly see anything

Crank it up and it looks bad. DOnt get it. Have no idea why they even put it out its so bad. On a side note, LG offers HUNDREDS of FREE TV channels on there tv. SO I got another LG!

Smart cast is almost impossible to get to work

Screen flickers

The black was not as black as I'd like and the edge lighting is not ideal. After about 30 days, the screen would flicker on and off. We returned for a new one. Straight out of the box, nothing else plugged in, exact same issue. Researched online and found several forums with the same issue. Never again buying an LG.

Great TV, But hate the Local Dimming Feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV, and I love it,, the magic remote, the sound, the Nano Technology, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos sound, every thing except the Local Dimming Feature, that is controlled in the Picture Option Menu Setting. And Yes you can turn off this setting, thank god LG lets us turn it off,,, Cause when this Feature is on, it causes the Banding Effect when your seeing a Night/Dark scene in a movie/tv show, and say some one in this scene turns on a flash light, and the rest of the back ground is still dark, you see the bands,,, and it can be distracting. But, just go to the Picture Setting, scroll down to Picture Option, go to Local Dimming and turn it off,, But each input, like say HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Build in Tuner, etc., has it's own settings,, so you have to go to each input's picture settings and turn Local Dimming off,,,, Once you Turn Off the Local Dimming Feature, Then This TV Turns AWESOME!!!!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a 65" LG sk80/8000 and a 65" TCL 615. Both are being returned. The TCL was easily the better picture except for the very bad DSE which is hit or miss problem in that lineup. A swap for another one might result in a wonderful TV or another return but I've decided I don't want to go through that right now. Back to this LG... pretty solid picture, the OS was much better than expected, and the remote/OS had some nifty features. But the TV has one fatal flaw... too dark. No matter what we tried, no matter how many adjustments we made, the picture was 'good' but just seemed like it had window tint applied to it. The TCL was much brighter, crisper and clearer and was easily my preference other than the obvious DSE. My primary sport is hockey and the LG on 'sports' mode was pretty good except that darker blues, darker greens and blacks all looked the same on this set. The TCL had better color separation in the same scenes. I had my orig 61" Samsung DLP in the room alongside this new LG and new TCL so comparisons were simple to do and see. I thought the TCL motion handling was a bit better as well. (Both of these new 65" TVs were easily better than the new midrange Samsungs in the same price range -- my Brothers TV. ) Did I get a 'good one' or a 'bad one'? Dunno, but it's going back. If you just want what appears to be a solid middle of the road TV, with some neat Smart OS features (learning curve!) then this TV is a good choice. But if you watch movies, TV or sports more than casually then you may want to raise your budget a bit or wait for prices to drop to take a step or two up in models. FYI - local dimming was horribly noticeable on this LG, and somewhat noticeable on the TCL 615. I turned both of them off and it was much better viewing. This is a feature, imo, which is a great idea but fails when applied.

Wifi no longer working

I've called lg, reset the tv and it's not seeing any wifi. This is manufacturer's defect, and so lg should pay for the repair.

Don't buy

Because of this I would not purchase an LG again. Complained but no response.

Sound problems

It’s extremely frustrating having to turn the tv off every 30 minutes or so to reset sound. On other forums LG owners having same frustrating issues. Stay away from LG

In order to do so you will need to turn the television off and unplug it, while it is unplugged locate the power button on the television and hold it down for 60 seconds. Once you have completed plug the television back in and turn it on. Picture sucked

Could not get the picture quality I was expecting. Tried all settings. Returned for Samsung curved series 8 premium for the same money.

The worst TV ever

Fantastic TV!!!!

Being a faithful Samsung customer from Best Buy now for over 10 years LG was not even on the radar. I spent months looking for my last LED box before going OLED sometime in 2019. I got a good deal on the Samsung MU8500 65" curved and when i got home it had a trim issue so i returned it. However before returning it i did turn it on to make sure it worked and when i checked the picture it was awesome but the TV itself picked up a lot of reflection from all over the house (deal breaker) plus its not Quantum Dot either. Went back to Best Buy and exchanged it for this LG 65" TV with Nano cell which is supposed to be premium UHD or the Quantum Dot Killer. TV is crazy dope!! ive never owned a Samsung or a Sony for that matter with this many options, its been 7 days and i have 15+ hours of trial an error with video settings. What i have learned is, just because you can turn something ON, does not mean you have to do it. ;-) Once you understand what Tru Motion Plus, Judder, Blur, Contrast, Back light, Smooth, Clear, Dobly Atmos and Cinema do for each channel or situation you will begin to have fun with it. I have a few friends with OLED TV's and when watching 4K content on the LG Nano Cell, my blacks are just as good so im not sure how quick i'll be to spend that $3500 in 2019 when i am this satisfied now. Thanks to the knowledgeable staff as Best Buy for talking me into this upgrade.

The Nano Tech is really a big difference. As one reads all the reviews, Yes, you have to sit down and do some fine tuning. That is normal for any type of fine electronic equipment. Everyone has different tastes in what one likes. This tv is easy to work with. There are many different settings for each input. That is a good thing. My FIOS box has different input values than does my BlueRay player, as does my streaming 4k. So just be patient, and enjoy seeing what different looks you can get. I replaced a LG 65" that decided to quit. That still did not steer me away from looking at All the options. For the price, This TV is a best bang for the buck. AND as always, the folks at Best Buy were AWESOME. They delivered the new one and for the BEST $20 bucks you will ever spend, took the old one away to be properly recycled. Don't wait, if you like what you see ... GET IT!!
