    Sounded great... but bass cut out constantly

    This sound bar sounded awesome. Full rich surround system. The issue was that the bass kept cutting out. I assumed it was the wifi in my house causing the issue. So I moved the base to different locations in my living room. It still cut out. I eventually exchanged for the equivalant Samsung model.

    We thought this would work well with our new LG T.V. unfortunately the sub-woofer is cracked. No loud music played through it, just movies and T.V. shows. Poor quality.

    This thing makes weird noises sometimes also sound drops out. Super disappointed. Switched to the new Sonos arc and it’s far superior so far.

    Wonderful sound from a quality audio system

    When I opened the giant box to my new LG SL10RG 7.1.2 Channel High Res Audio Sound system, I was surprised to find out just how large the soundbar is: roughly 58” long, 2.5” tall and 6” deep. A wireless subwoofer and two additional surround sound speakers plus a wireless hub were also included. The first thing LG asks you to do once powering on the soundbar is to connect it to a Google account. This was a fairly simple process and allowed me to connect the system to my iPhone opening up a variety of possibilities. Once connected to the google account, I plugged in the subwoofer to the opposite side of the living room, pushed one button and the subwoofer and soundbar immediately connected wirelessly! That was so easy, I next set up the rear speaker wireless hub which involved plugging the hub into an electrical outlet and join the color-coded speaker wire to the hub and rear speakers. This didn’t take long to connect and right away the soundbar was communicating to the surround sound speakers. The final step was to link my 4k TV to the soundbar with the supplied optical wire cable, turn on a movie with great sound and listen. I was very happy with the ease in which the wireless components automatically connected to one another. The first thing I noticed when listening for the first time was that the various sounds from the bar seemed like they were coming from different sources, not unlike a movie theater. The speakers in the sound bar itself are directed towards a few different directions; facing up, to the front, and to the sides. This makes the sound appear to be coming from all over, bouncing off walls and the ceiling. Secondly, I noticed the bass from the subwoofer. So much bass!! Amazing rumble. Very impressive low-end making explosions and soundtrack orchestration powerful, even vibrating the couch and the walls! The rear surround speakers properly complete the sound adding ambience and some echo to make the total sound feel larger than the listening room. I’m very happy with the audio provided by this high-end LG system. Plenty of high highs, mid-tones and LOTS of lows, which are sufficiently adjustable using the included remote and the soundbar’s built in EQ menu. I’m happy with the way the speakers and sound bar look. The design is great – a sleek look that fits in well with other high-end equipment and décor. Very happy with my purchase - this quality sound system gives new life to my entertainment system and makes movies and music feel new!

    Same Issues As Before ...

    The LG SL10RG is plagued with the same smothered vocal dialog 'objects' during Dolby Atmos playback that were introduced two generations ago, on their TOTL sound bar package. Most likely an issue with the hardware, at this point ... because firmware doesn't seem to be helping. Look elsewhere if you want the best available Atmos/DTX decoding for your hard earned dollars ... or buy this knowing what to expect and live with it.
