I love my new washer and dryer. Still trying to figure out all of the settings

Best Buy delivered two sets of defective LG washer dryers (deemed defective by Best Buy) and they withheld $485.96 from me after taking all appliances/accessories. Not to mention my home is damaged throughout. My brain hurts trying to scroll through photos to attach to this ridiculous review. They have escalated this issue more than 10 times to who knows where, and I am still on hold. Going on 3 hours now. Best Buy will take money from you and refund you in the form of gift cards. I am on the receiving end of a manager making noise about how i should not be telling them ‘how to do their job.’ I have never been met with such stupidity and fraudulent conduct. I paid $1,831.94 for the first round, received $1,601.95 as refund. Then i purchased another round for $1,695.95 and received $1,439.98 as refund. Math is clear as day, and every time it is just escalating this to there and mam, what did you do with the gift cards issued…nothing, absolutely nothing Best Buy. If you check your records, then those gift cards remain unused. It has been 2 months, and Best Buy is still holding onto $485.96. And now this manager must be going on lunch, they hung up on me.

Dryer lint filter design is defective. Lint goes outside the filter on both sides and accumulates in the bottom of the filter opening. error message of blocked vent d80 appears after nearly every load. Photos show lint manually pulled out after just one load, and lint on either side of filter. I contacted LG, but they won't accept a complaint unless I pay for a duct cleaning and present a paid receipt. No problem with the duct. Problem is the machine.

I bought this dryer to accompany the corresponding LG washer, and I’m very happy with it! PROS: • Dries close efficiently, effectively, and gently — and in less time than my previous dryer. • Has a large capacity; I can easily fit a king size duvet in this dryer. • Option to choose between a variety of drying cycle presets, or set your own time and temperature. • The lint trap is very effective and easy to reach. • It’s easy to operate. • It’s quiet. • I like that the app sends notifications when the drying cycle is finished. • I like the ability to choose which song plays at the end of the cycle. • It looks great and is easy to wipe away fingerprints with a dry microfiber cloth. CONS: • The top of the dryer is sloped, which is annoying since I also use the dryer top as a working surface when doing laundry. I attached a mat to the top with double-sided tape that makes it possible to put clothes on top without them slipping onto the floor, but it’s annoying to have to find a workaround for what should have been a design consideration to begin with. • Sometimes I have to use a lint roller to get pet hair out of the lint catcher. The mesh in this catcher really likes to hang onto it! But I’d much rather have this issue than have pet hair falling inside my dryer. Overall, I’m very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this dryer. I hope the product designers will reconsider the sloped top for future machines though. We need flat dryer tops, folks!

I bought the set. PROS *Easy installation *Fit well into my small laundry closet *Full size machines; can fit queen size comforter, probably a king *LOVE that they sync (you need to set), so the dryer auto sets to what the washer just ran *LOVE that you can set additional dryer time from app *Can check time left and other details from the app *Lots of personalized settings, they sing me a little song when done *Beautiful and work very well CONS *Best buy vent hose was junk; don’t buy it! *LG tech support via chat runs multiple chats (rep admitted 3 when he posted in wrong chat window) *When you DO contact tech support, all they do is search the manual, so it’s faster to download the electronic version and do a word search yourself. If it’s not in there, they don’t know. Example: You can control the machine remotely, BUT if you do you can only control it remotely from the app, so they don’t have the instruction to activate that in the manual. *No extra hot cycle; turned up my water heater instead *Some cycles have water temps you can’t change. OTHER NOTES *I use the hot cycle A LOT, and noticed there was condensation building up under the washer. It’s a small laundry closet w/no ventilation. Problem solved by putting machines on risers and running a portable fan when washing w/hot cycle.

This dryer is great. Door opens two ways making is very easy to put clothes in and take them out. One cycle and clothes are completely dry. Handles large loads with ease. So easy to use. Love it!

Have owned multiple brands of dryers before. Purchased this washer because of ease of use, capacity and efficiency. Wanted to be able to dry large loads with once cycle. Has not disappointed!!!

We are very pleased with our LG 7.3 Cu. Ft. Smart Electric Dryer with EasyLoad Door in Alpine White. The dryer is highly efficient, and the EasyLoad door feature makes it incredibly convenient to use. It handles large loads with ease and dries clothes quickly. The smart functions are a great addition, allowing us to monitor and control the dryer remotely. Overall, it's a fantastic appliance that has made laundry day much easier!

This is a replacement unit for a defective one from last year's model. Slightly different styling, otherwise it appears to be good machine. Maybe a little too "smart" for my needs. Temperature and time are programmed into the modes and cannot be changed. Took a while but it appears "quick dry" is the only mode where this can be done. Haven't figured out what the AI mode does other than the short description in the owner's manual says it dries based on the sensed fabric-not sure how it does that. The manual is short on information about normal operation. The lint filter does a good job but needs to be "unlatched" and folds out for cleaning-a little cumbersome. Overall, a good machine. Efficient. Dries well.

Probably my favorite LG appliance I’ve ever bought it works wonderfully. It has a beautiful aesthetic. Dries super fast even with a heavy load of blankets and has a huge drum so I can wash blankets at home.

It's an excellent drier with a ton of features and is relatively simple to use! It is fast, very quiet, and seems gentle on our clothes. The multi-articulating door that opens in both forward and side-facing directions is a game changer for small laundry rooms or tight spaces.

Works great! Very large capacity and easy to use.

Dryer is very good and easy to use it has no problem drying my California king size bedding

This LG replaces a Maytag dryer of similar size. The Maytag dryer was fine though the kids did complain occasionally of items being a little damp. The reason for dumping Maytag is that the Maytag washer was of poor quality. It had to be services and repaired twice is 3 years with an ongoing error problem so we dumped the poor quality Maytag washer and it seemed prudent to buy a matching dryer. There are 2 surprises to the LG dryer. First, is that the top of the unit is slanted. Hence, if you like to place items on top of the unit this is not going to work. Also it is not possible to measure that the unit is level with a high degree of reliability. I had to go a buy a cart to place between the Washer and Dryer to place the items which we routinely kept on our previous units. The other surprise is that the lint capture is not straightforward. The screen folds over and captures lent in the open space between the fold. Not sure why this is necessary but adds a minor step of unlocking the fold, cleaning and then snapping the fold back in place. Why? This really does not make sense to me. The kids say perhaps it catches more lent. Maybe but that is not something that I can easily verify. But overall the unit seems to work but be prepared for the 2 surprises should you purchase. I am hoping the reliability for the LG brand becomes true which I will not know until after a few years of ownership.

Our last dryer was older and had issues drying a large set of clothes. We have the matching washer to this dryer and love them as a set. They look good are smaller but yet wash and dry more clothes. Highly recommend

Very Pleased with my purchase of LG 7.3 CU. Ft High Efficiency Smart electric dryer with easy load door. It's cool that I may open door from top or side . The dryer is quite, quick and efficient in drying my clothes! I can operate my settings from downloaded phone App... Fits perfectly in my condominium apartment home laundry room. Black & White looks sleek!
