This small DVD player is just the basic, just what I wanted. It starts right back up where I left off watching.

Nice dvd player for the price. Works like it should and nice size.

If you still have CDs but no device to play them at home, this is the solution. You can use it to play a single CD at a time. It’s drawback is that it has no LCD display to let the user know what track is being played, or other CD info, since such info is intended to be displayed on a TV. However, this device can be set up to speak audio prompts, e.g., “fast forward” or “track 1”, so the user can hear what otherwise would be displayed on an LCD. The device first has to be set up with a TV connected to it so this feature can be enabled. The model DP132H is identical, except that it add an HDMI output. Save the $5 because an HDMI is not needed for playing CDs; it’s usefulness is to enable Progressive scan output of DVDs. It’s only competitor at a comparable price is the Sony. This unit replaces a Sony. The old Sony did not have voice prompts, but I see from the user manual that the new Sony does. However, the Sony does not have a USB input. This is invaluable if you want to play in the home a USB containing mixed tracks that you made by ripping tracks from CDs to a USB so you can play your CDs in a new car which no longer has a factory CD player. This device is supposed to be able to rip tracks from CD to USB without a computer, but I have not tried that feature. I would not depend on this USB input to play videos copied to it from an SD card. It will only play the MPEG codec, so newer videos recorded in H264 or MPEG4 will not play. For that you need a Blu-ray player or new TV.

I purchased this DVD player for work. It's very simple and there aren't any specialized features on this. It doesn't have wifi or any apps. It will, however play most formats except BluRay. Overall, very happy with the performance.

Movies show great good quality for a great price that I spent

The remote is about the size and weight of a graham cracker, which makes it fumbly to use. And you have to be very careful in order to push the right buttons - a bit rinky-dink. The picture is fine, not great. The price is great, however, and it's VERY compact! This is perfect for a kid's room.

THIS WAS A GREAT DVD PLAYER SINCE THE FIRST TIME I OPENED IT, PLAY EVERYTHING PERFECTLY, SOUNDS GOOD, LOOKS GOOD.

Small standalone portable DVD, cheap, quite, reading all of my DVDs. Remote is working good, as well.

I bought this item to use in my retail store to loop a DVD. It works great for my purposes, and was a great value.

Purchased for Sunday School use, so it has to be extremely user-friendly and simple, as there will be different people using it. I have heard no complaints, so it must be. It was a no-brainer to set up with a projector rather than tv (plug & play). We will not be using it for actual movies, so I can't speak to the picture quality.

got this while we were staying at a hotel for vacation. thought the hotel had dvd but it didn't. we ran out to best buy after looking online at inventory, walked right on and found it, and we were all set. its cheap and gets the job done. great functionality for the price. we picked this model because it came with av cables, other models (some pricier) did not. it saved us having to buy that too.

Bought to my doughter to watch DVD she gets from library. Easy setup (2 mins), good quality, easy to use even for kids.

This DVD player has good picture quality, is easy to use, and also records. What a bargain for the low price.

I have a number of DVDs but with the streaming capabilities of today, I hardly ever use them. But, I came upon a situation where the viewing of these DVDs was useful. Rather than buy a Blue-Ray capable system, I was able to pick up this beauty for $34. It is dated and doesn't have HDMI ports but the component connections work fine, If you just need a working DVD player with no frills, this is it!

Easy to attach to existing video. Clear picture and remote is easy to utilize.

So far, I've only used the connection cords to hook up my old DVD player to my TV. For $30 it seemed like a better deal than buying just the $15 cords. I have found DVD players don't last longer than 8 or 9 years, and I'm not too picky when it comes to electronics. So when my current DVD player craps out, I'll have this one to replace it. The only reason I would not recommend this DVD player to a friend is because everyone I know already has something nicer.
