I've had my G Flex for about a month now, and so far it has been a stellar experience. Having previously used a Note 2 (that my wife is now enjoying), I am accustomed to larger screen devices. The G Glex is big, no doubt, but I honestly find it very comfortable to handle. The curve really helps, and where I often fumbled with my large Note 2, I don't really have that problem with the G Flex. This is partially due to the fantastic "one-handed use" features that LG has built into the UI. Whereas Samsung never really addressed the issue, LG really thought about the little details in using a large screen device and use the software to make one-handed use much easier. Multitasking is EXCELLENT, much better than the Note. I don't miss my S-pen at all, and to be honest I really never used it much. The device has plenty of power and speed, and I have seen zero slowdown or lag, even with many apps open in the background. The UI is clean and unlike Samsung there arent a ton of submenus of menus. In my opinion it is easier to use than my Note was. Much has been made by bloggers about the screen on the G Flex being "only" 720p. But I gotta say...I just don't get it. The display is beautiful. I've shown it to many of my tech-savvy friends (network admins, graphic designers, etc) and they are surprised when I tell them the display is 720p. If 720p is sub-par, well...then this is the best 720p display I've ever seen. Don't let some Samsung troll tell you what you should like...look at the display FOR YOURSELF, and then decide. The curve, while some are calling it a gimmick, really isn't one. The curve makes watching HD videos more immersive...it's subtle, and you have to actually see it to understand, but there is a reason movie screens (and now TVs) are curved. I have also NEVER had so many people comment on my phone before as they have with the G Flex. It's always something..."OMG, is your phone CURVED?!" I say Yep...I sat on it and smile. This device is dead sexy to look at and it definitely gets noticed. To some, that might be a drawback...I'm actually getting a little tired talking about it to it's many admirers. In all I am VERY satisfied with the purchase and can't wait to see what LG does with the G Flex 2.

Great phone, I love the screen size and battery life. The home and volume buttons in the back is a "love it or hate it" feature. I suggest you play with this feature before you buy. Recommend this phone in spite of this feature.

I bought this phone for my father-in-law who is older and sometimes has difficulty maneuvering around a smaller screen - and seeing everything clearly. This is a great phone for someone who is older, and LG has really put a lot into it's UI in recent models. I can't speak much about the self-healing case because we have a think case around it, but the curved screen, while odd at first, becomes something you don't notice after a very short period. The phone is very fast, and while there were a few glitches with an app here or there, for the most part things have run smoothly.

I had to decide between the Flex M8 and S5. For me it came down to availability. The others were released l gave this a shot. For just over $150 due to discounts and sales it was a good deal. The battery life is night and day when compared to a HTC evo 4g lte. The main gripe I have is with texting and autocorrect. HTC was great about predictive text. LG not so much. And if you do not get the word the first time you have to delete the entire word not just a few letters or else it will assume you are writing a new word.

Its a pretty good phone. I love the curve of it. The camera is ok. Not to bad. My only dislike is the battery life. Nothing compared to my htc one. But overall its good. Not disappointed.

Definitely the best smartphone I've ever owned! The viewing area and picture quality is fantastic. The soft keyboard is easy to use - and I had previously used a hard keyboard, too! Response time is great and apps are easy to install. Even though the phone is large, it fits comfortably in my pocket (especially because of curve) and it's easy to hold in the palm of one hand. My only complaint for now is the large number of steps it takes to get to and empty the trash folder in email.

I only had this phone for about 3 days. The G3 came out the same week which I didn't know so I exchanged this when I found out. I wanted to like this phone so much and it was really neat but I just couldn't see myself dealing with the low res screen for 20 months. If your not a resolution junkie you may not even notice the graininess of images and video. Otherwise stay away from this phone you will not like it or try to wait for the Flex 2 that may surface towards the end of 2014. If they fix the res on that version it will be a powerhouse phone. This phone is really big also the weight isn't to awful for it's size the battery is amazing because of it but not for little hand people I guess. No expandable storage either.

Nice android phone out next to the Note 3. Prefect for heavy app users (gamers) gives the feel of hold a game system. COMFORTABLE fit to the face with the curve design. Love this phone easy operating system.

Awesome for web browsing. Phone feels goofy (large) while making calls, so I paired it with lg pro Bluetooth headset to correct the issue. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the "note" but the curved oled screen is the difference maker. For me, its the best phone out there.
