    LOVE this phone!

Have had an LG G4 for almost 3 weeks. I love everything about it so far except the battery, which runs down much too quickly with little use, and an issue that downloads and updates seem to get hung up and take a long time to complete. Hopefully I can find solutions for these problems. It's very fast, the camera is great, the screen is sharp. It's a fairly large phone but comfortable to use, even with smaller hands. It's great looking and slim but a little slippery, a case helped. It has many neat features, like using a hand signal or a word to snap a picture (we've gotten a lot of laughs with that). The knock code, smart lock, and dual window are great. Having a memory slot and a removable battery are reasons I initially chose this phone. I'm finding more to like about it every day and (so far anyway) would recommend it to anyone. LOVE my phone!

My wife and I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy s4 and we couldn't be happier. The camera on this phone is outstanding. Probably the second best cell phone camera on the market now behind only the LG V10. I also love how LG basically uses Android stock. There is a skin on top but nowhere near as bad as Samsung's touchwiz.

I am a big fan of LG phones. Because they have great quality & features in their phones. Samsung is just a copy of iPhone on Android. This phone I put in 1TB micro ad card. And I'm not limited to locked storage like Samsung and iPhone. I compared the Samsung note 5 with this phone in benchmark test based on profomance and this phone was faster by 18 percent.

this phone is pretty good. the cameras manual mode is awesome and it feels like an almost dslr experience. the screen is almost perfect i just wish it was amoled. also i wish the build quality was a little better but lg does make up for that with its leather back. anyways i think this phone is great!

    A review like no other

I was upgrading from a Galaxy S4. Was so excited to get this phone, especially for $1! I really wanted to like it, but I have had a lot of problems. None of the other reviews are indicating the same problems that I have had, so not sure if I just got a faulty unit or what. A Google search shows 6 common problems that they say are not likely to happen to everyone and could happen with any phone. Here are the problems I have experienced: Was unable to set up my outlook email at first. Eventually only able to set it up under the gmail account. Very disappointing My battery died in 2 hours. When I plugged it in and it showed charging, the battery percentage actually dropped! Parts of my keyboard do not work AT ALL at times. I will be returning this phone before my 14 days are up. Not sure that I want to attempt to swap it out for the same phone after all these problems so I will probably go back to the Galaxy. Other than that, I loved the phone and received a lot of compliments on it.

    Go with a Samsung device

Ugh.. I have owned the lg g4 for 6 months now. I used to absolutely love it but honestly its worn its welcome. Over that six months I have been through 2 G4'S . the first died of the all too common problem of the screen splitting. A software issue!.. The camera sucks for Snapchat and Instagram . otherwise it takes good photos. My galaxy s5 was better than this phone all around. The buttons on the back are so stupid. The phone is respectively fast. Nowhere as fast as any apple or Samsung devices I have owned. No hate here. Its better than most phones. But is lacking majorly against its main competition

I love the camera, display, and the operating system is nice I switched from iPhone 5s and don't regret love the processing speed of this phone and battery life is fair... Wish the phone system was a little more complex and more personalizable but if you like simple this phone is great similar to iPhone's simplicity

DON'T BUY - Boot loop issue with this phone

    Posted .

I bought this phone back about August 2015, and basically as of yesterday, December 14, 2016, the phone is useless. There's an issue with this phone, called a boot loop bug, where the phone stays on the intro LG G4 screen, and won't advance to the the Android home screen - so now I can't start my phone anymore. Yes, while I did buy this phone through T Mobile and not Best Buy - the issue is happening to all G4's. Was told by a few different T Mobile reps, that if I want to use insurance to replace the phone, I have to get another G4, and they won't replace it with another phone of equal value. To me that seems like a lot of BS. This is a well known issue with the G4, where I found out that LG reps were going into T mobile stores and advising the T mobile reps not to sell the LG G4 anymore after the issues with the boot loop problem was becoming an epidemic. So, it's interesting that T Mobile seems like they want to replace my phone with another refurbished G4 - sort of like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I am still waiting to find out what will happen, but in the meantime I bought a cheap unlocked phone to use for the next couple of weeks. Also wanted to add - the first day I bought this phone I put it in an Otterbox defender case on it, the phone fell out of my hand once when I was getting out of the car, landed on the corner, Otterbox case performed incredibly, nothing was broken or dented no damage. I also never spilled anything on the phone, so again, no neglect, no harm was done to the phone. I also never left this phone in the car, so the phone was not exposed to heat, or cold, and was not left out in the sun, or endured any abusive conditions. Also I am not a gamer, just used the phone for calling, texting, face book, and took many pictures. The G4 does take amazing pics, thats' the one thing I will really miss. But buy the phone at your own risk, probably will have this boot loop issue with the phone, was told by a lot of reps, that usually after about a year is when the G4 phones get this problem, and then again, you can't start the phone up anymore. Anyone who is possibly thinking about getting this phone should look up the boot loop issue on the G4, and avoid this phone like the plague. This is my 2nd LG phone and it will be my last LG phone. I previously had the LG G2, and after having that phone for about a year, the G2 started to overheat, where the back panel got really hot, and the screen kept freezing where I had to reboot the phone over and over, so the G2 was done after a year, and the G4, well, I got about 16 months out of that phone. I'd give this phone 1 star, only because the phone's display is really sharp, and the camera does take great pics, well....while the phone lasted. I will be contacting LG tomorrow, to find out if LG Corporate can talk some sense into the T mobile associates who want to give me another G4 to replace this one. Why not just jab a pencil in my eye, and throw me in a pit of alligators while you're at it - T mobile ppl?

    Nice upgrade from the G3

This is a really nice phone. It is solid and very well designed. The only two issues for me are the battery life and the omission of the Qi wireless charging antenna. I had to spend a considerable amount of time researching how to add wireless charging. My solution was to replace the phone back with a new back that had both the NFC and wireless charging antenna built-in. However, since the phone back is removable, that is a plus for the G4.

I recently upgraded from my iPhone 4s, and had all intentions of buying an iPhone 6, but when I went into the store and saw it. There was just something about it. I have had this phone for 3 weeks now and I can honestly say that I love it. The learning curve is a little bump on a smooth road. Would definitely recommend this phone.

There's a lot to love here. The phone is very fast, call quality is excellent and the build quality feels good. BUT, there's a lot I hate. The promised, and even reviewed FM chip isn't active, and LG refuses to answer up about it. Also, the phone gets hot, and the battery life, while good, is also strange. Some days, this phone will last me all day. Next day, same usage, it's dead by 5pm.

The only thing really going for this phone is the camera. Typical battery doesn't last long like lots of other phones. Phone is kind of slow and have to be firm with the buttons. Can't look online while making a call. Can't wait to get a different phone!

I've had only Samsung phones for the past 5 years or so, but the LG's specs were so amazing (not to mention the $100 gift card), I had to have it-- pre-ordered on 5/23. I was rewarded with 2 dead pixels on the first day. My S4 was dropped countless times, the screen was shattered, but never lost its integrity like this one did within the first few hours. Taking it back today - unsure if I will exchange for another for a second chance (only because of the gift card) or more likely go with my heart over budget and get the Note Edge. Giving 2 stars because it seems like a terrific phone otherwise. Had this happened a year from now, I honestly wouldn't care. But the display was my primary reason for purchasing it, and after waiting 18 months for my upgrade, I'd like all of my pixels to last beyond the first 18 hours.

i gave the phone one star because the camera is better on this Lg G4 than the Lg G3 but that's it. Battery would maybe last me a day just like the previous model. I had this one 2 weeks just trying different things to improve battery and nothing worked so I traded it in for a iPhone 6 plus and love it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!!
