Why in the world do you send a completely glass phone (very slippery) to the stores w/out sending cases and screen protectors (which I found out AFTER I had signed the contract)! The quality cases on Amazon are also out of stock. I have had to keep my phone in the car or my purse for 2 weeks while trying to find a case. I have had Samsung for years, but the store was out of the S9 that was on sale, I needed something immediately, so I decided to try something new. No instructions in box, very confusing, won't uninstall unwanted apps, doesn't schedule texts; I can't figure out how to do a lot of things that were very easy to learn on the Samsung. First-World problems.

the call volume is horrible mostly because the screen IS the speaker, there is no ear piece. Over all, its a good phone, but with that single flaw, it makes it not a good phone. Excellent computer/GPS/Gaming machine/PDA, but a bad phone.

LG missed an opportunity to highlight some great features: - True face ID that can't be fooled by a photo (comparable to iPhone) - Quad-DAC HiFi audio support for audiophiles (sounds incredible with headphones that support the codec) - Fantastic battery for 3500 mah (last 2 days on one charge and heavy use) quick charge - High quality rear cameras (portrait and wide angle) customizable settings - Calls are AMAZING with the vibrating screen you can hear callers in loud environments, also I tested talking to my wife while driving on the freeway with the windows down, she said she couldn't hear any background noise at all!! I've had many phones in the past (Galaxy S7, Note 5, Galaxy S6, LG G2, Note 2, Galaxy, Motorola, Palm Pre(still the best OS - WebOs), etc...) In the end this is the first time I've made a review on a phone or any product for that matter, hope LG continues to make phones and does a better job marketing next time, I highly recommend this phone.

I really liked the phone and it was a great price but I had to return it the sound was awful! I could hear any one who called and they couldn't hear me! Return was easy.

We took the phone back as soon as we got it should've stick with a Samsung

Love this phone!!! Music sounds incredible and the screen is unbelievable!!!! The reviewer's are not paying attention to their reviews. May be burnt out. Their oponions are just that. And swayed by very personal pref. Not a tru or fair assessment of the phone. To be fair never had an Iphone. But bounce back and forth between Samsung and LG. I like them both. Think both are awesome phones. Loved my G2. Fav. Phone was lg g3. Then a note 5 was ok kinda glitchy and no real updates. Now the LG G8 . Another awesome phone . fast with a great screen lots of customization and the best music player out there. Nothing samsung has sounds this good. So if you want a real users opinion. Buy it now while its 50% off and the x 100 from best buy makes it a no brainer! I bought 2. Lol added a line and upgraded. 10 a month and 13 a month to own and a 2 year warranty.Whats to think about

I love LG G Series. They have been great phone for a long time. And usually you can get a good sale on them. They are marginally less is good technically as the comparable Samsung, but usually a great value because there are a lot less expensive. I had my G6 for two years and dropped it several times. And never a problem because of it. The G8 is better than all the rest so far. So if you're looking for as near as a good phone as the S10, look no further and get an LG for a fraction of the price!

Im not big on hype. Had Samsung and LG phones never did I phones. Love this new LG phone. The reviewers are super critical. Some are pretty silly with the comparison and reviews. My last phone was a Samsung. This LG G8 is awesome! Music sounds incredible and the screen and cameras are awesome. Purchased from Best Buy. Couldnt be happier. Bought 2. 1 new line for 10 a month and an upgrade for 13 lol. Its a no brainer the Samsung phones are 3 times that much! And are not better phones. Had weird glitches with the Sammy totally smooth with the LG. Do yourself a favor buy 1 befor the sale ends!!!!!!

Super Clear display sucreen, awesome speaker sound, best camera etc. Much better than any other flagship models.

Purchased and activated the LG G8 ThinQ and currently quite disappointed in the sound quality during a phone call (the most basic function). I have struggled with the screen being the speaker, it is awkward to position your ear lower on phone to actually hear the person speaking on the other end clearly (especially in a louder area). You have to turn the volume all the way up which makes it more audible to those around you unfortunately as well. Likely returning the phone. Remaining functions appear to be working fine.
