Battery is not good as advertised.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Main reason I bought this expensive laptop is the advertised battery life of 24 hours. Minus: -Battery life I the normal mode with the normal use (web browsing, and basics) I can pull out max 7 hours. If I watch movies or similar, less than 5 hours. In power mode, where your performance drop down drastically, I couldn't pull out more than 13 hours in few attempts with just a basic usage. -2nd issue is a keyboard that doesn't reflect any light. In the dark if monitor is not under the wright angle you will not be able to see your tasters. -Price of $1700++ with taxes Plus are: -Performance and storage. -Beautiful design and that metallic green color. Considering that battery last almost half of what is advertised, fair price would be up to $1200.

I also have a 16" version and it is so great, got one for my niece to take to college. The green color is absolutely cool/sets it apart. Very lightweight, versatile, speedy and easy to navigate/use for even a novice user like her. A bit higher on the price point, but it was a good investment that should last her entire undergrad. The camera is a bit disappointing (at least on my 16" model) as is the lack of a cover, but doesn't change my recommendation.

LG has always been a trusted brand, we have an OLED TV, ans appliances. However, It has been a nightmare. The computer blue screens for no reason, overheats and makes loud noises then freezes up. Geek Squad looked at it, did not do much to remedy anything. Now i am supposed to send to LG. My son is beyond frustrated and inconvenienced, not to mention the amount of money spent. Stick to the better brands….Dell, HP, etc. Thumbs down LG!
