Efficient microwave! I love the size as well as the power. It’s a nice looking microwave oven. It cooks and heats up foods evenly. I enjoy using the convenient preset buttons. The musical tone to alert you when your food is ready is nice and it will alert you again if you forget to take your food out. It’s an awesome microwave and my hopes are that it will last for many years.

Overall pretty happy with it. It looks nice. Build quality is far superior to most microwaves. It is metal and glass, not plastic. The smart inverter is hands down the biggest improvement in technology. It really does do what it says. Everything heats up perfectly even. Even popcorn. Only a few un-popped kernels and nothing burnt. Even melting butter is really easy. The inside wipes clean with no effort. Just a few issues. One, it came dented but I kept it anyway. Not LG's fault. Two, it seems to keep the moisture in rather than vent out. It is literally a swamp every time I use it and I just leave the door open to air it out. Three, it makes a high pitched noise when operating and fourth the jingle when your food is done is annoying as it will keep reminding you every 30 seconds. I actually like the buttons and the slider on the front. It doesn't take long to get used to and I think it adds to the classy appearance. It is really is nice looking.

This is a great microwave! It is easy to use and looks great in our kitchen. It is well made, the quality is evident in the design and appearance. The stainless trim doesn’t fingerprint easily. The size is perfect for casserole dishes. I was skeptical of the controls (no number pad) but it was easy to adapt. I especially like that it has few buttons - easy to scan and find what you want. And I like the way the door operates without a push button, just pull the door open by the edge. I returned another manufacturer’s model because of lower quality features. I love this LG microwave and am happy to recommend it.

Our microwave went out after 14 years and had trouble finding a model that could fit in the space as must new ovens are deeper than past models. This model is the least deep one we can find with equivalent power and works very well. It has every feature one can imagine and looks good as well. Controls look a bit complicated but ones you read directions its pretty easy to use.

We looked at Panasonic brand at first, but switched to LG. This model tad bigger (1.5) than last midsize (1.2) we had. It was worn out after 5yrs and setting off circuit breaker with high volts (15 instead of 8), and so we needed a new microwave. Easy clean interior, luxury looking exterior, fancy keypad inside door, along with outside pad. Cute (Mario game?) end cycle sound. But with 1250 watts, it is very powerful, and most times heats super fast and evenly. Price is higher than previous purchases, but good reviews, and hopefully will last longer than cheap brands. After using a gift card, it was bought near cheaper (Oaster) prices. Uses led interior bulb. The door seems sturdy. Dual keypads can be confusing for some people, but is simple enough for us. Can’t direct key exact time, but quick 30sec jumps are convenient. Sensor cook so far is accurate . One touch cook works well. LG brand is rated very reliable. Not sure if smart inverter works better, or its just brand new, but heats very evenly. Can’t go wrong with this elegant, reliable, and great brand.

This is the best microwave I’ve ever owned. Not only is it beautiful; it works great as well. It’s very powerful, so it is so quick to cook or warm up your meals. It also plays a beautiful melody when it’s finished. Buy this microwave, and you won’t go wrong.

I wanted a microwave with a small footprint but with a stylish look. This one was a perfect fit. I bought it in White (color) because my kitchen is white. The design looks great and not cheap like most other white microwaves. The door has a surface like an iPad, just easy to clean with no edges or corners. All touch screen style 'buttons' (but no real buttons; just a sensitive touch field). Start/Stop, Duration can be selected with closed door -- other settings like defrost, reheat, etc have their touch buttons inside (you need to do that with the door open. The touch is a little different from most other microwaves where you usually have to press pretty hard to get the selection. Here, you just touch it very slightly and if you push too hard it doesn't work.
The sensor reheat works for me and food is even warm inside thicker pieces. I believe this technology works better than in other microwaves.
Sensor Reheat has different programs for different type of food. Defrost has also food settings to choose from, e.g. bread, meat, etc. -- it works for me very well and accurate. I have not used sensor cooking yet -- it also offers different programs like potatoes, veggies, etc..
The turntable with 14 inch is larger than it was in my former full-size high-end GE microwave which was just under a year old -- it had a 13"+something turntable but its size was twice the neat size of this LG NeoChef.
It's personal preference what you like and my reason to buy the NeoChef was its superior design and size, the availability in White, and the cooking technology.

Excellent microwave to replace the really crappy one I had. I was intrigued by the sensor cooking and tested it out once it was unboxed. Burned my mouth so I cautiously use the sensor cooking now. It’s very powerful and easy to clean. Looks sleek since the buttons are hidden inside the door. Don’t get this if you are looking for the typical number buttons. This microwave has a slider on the door to adjust cooking times.

Nice compact size for such a powerful microwave. Also very easy to use (with some ovens you have to be a rocket scientist to figure them out) and I really like the design.
Our last microwave that we were replacing ended up rusting out on the interior top. This oven has an interior light which makes it super easy to see spatters and wet steam that accumulates on the interior. Never noticed this before (the moisture) so we are now more aware of wiping it down after each use.

We bought this to replace a GE unit that lasted about 6 years. We bought it based on other reviews. We must be the exceptions, because we hate this machine. The controls to operate it are on the inside of the door and they do not light up, making it very difficult to see them. The timer feature is also on the inside of the door, so if you want to use it to time something that is not in the microwave, (which I often do), you have to open the microwave to set the timer. When you set the timer, it automatically starts at 10 seconds (WHY???) and then you have to hold the button until it reaches the time you want. I miss my old unit. I pressed 3 on the outside and it timed for 3 minutes. The alarm is so annoying. It's not a beep or a buzz. It's a jingle, like in a commercial. I wish there was some way to adjust it to something different. I seems to cook well, although it took 6 minutes this morning to boil 2 cups of water. My GE did it in less time I think. There is a popcorn setting (inside). There are other codes listed on the inside, potatoes, pizza, dinner plate, etc., which we have not used. I do like that it lights up inside during cooking. Other than that there isn't anything I really like about it. Best Buy has a 15 day -YES!! 15 days!!! return policy on appliances. So we cannot even return it. I may put it on Craig's list, since so many others seems to think it's fabulous, it should go quickly.

This microwave is sleek, sturdy, has great features, and has a spacious interior without a huge countertop footprint. The tones and led displays are great, nice to look at. I like that the door is a pull open instead of a push button release that is noisy and will eventually fail. I love that there’s no handle on the door, so no extra crevices to clean grodie film from. Instead you have a finger trough/indentation that runs the length of the door.
I also like that most of the controls are actually behind the door—a great feature when you have young kiddos with just enough reach to push buttons. The entire front of the unit is flat and minimalist—just glass and black stainless trim. The right hand side has three very clean and simple controls embossed on the glass: a touch sensitive dashed line that you glide your finger left to decrease or right to increase time. The cancel and start “buttons” are also cleanly embossed below the graduated time line.
Behind the door is the main control panel, also with embossed, touch-sensitive controls, for all the other tasks. There is not the numerical pad you would expect to find behind the very minimal outside controls, to enter cook times, weights, etc. There’s just a nondescript plus and minus symbol. And here’s the real fun part about this setup—you have to enter your cook time on the front before opening the door and you can utilize or activate any of the other controls.
Take modifying the power level for example. The setup is misleading bc you think, well, I’ll swipe some amount on the outside door, then use the interior panel to do the complicated stuff, and then when I close the door, I will adjust to the proper time when I close the door and before I tap the start symbol, also on the outside. Nooooooooope. Once you have touched the interior controls, that touch bar on the front is now handcuffed to the interior panel, and will mess up all of your settings if you touch it. You have to start the entire process m all over. This disconnected operation gets annoying and frustrating. There’s also no quick defrost feature. I utilized that frequently on the prior machine. While the NeoChef is powerful and fully capable of all the fancy options you’d expect, and more, figuring out how to make them work is another story,
Quiet, nice to look at, led lighting, touch sensitive controls that are embossed on the unit, so there’s no buttons or crevices to accumulate kitchen smegma: overall it is a top notch machine.

We purchased this to replace a large 20 year old unit. We generally just use our microwave to reheat and preheat food/drinks and make pop corn so the smaller size is nice. The power jump from 750 to 1200 is very noticeable and with the sensor cooking thinking cooking vegetables may be more efficient and less time than on the stove. The clean sleek appearance is nice with only start and stop on the door. Other buttons are behind the door. I like the 10 second increment -/+ for cook time and power level rater than all the numbers. 1 minute doesn't mistakenly become 10 second or worse minutes.

Purchased the LG NeoChef 1.5 Cu. Ft. after our old microwave of four years bit the dust. The LG's 1250 max wattage really makes a "BIG" difference. Heats food quickly and thoroughly, it's reasonably quiet and the interior cleans easily. It's also an attractive countertop appliance. Our only quibble is the sound it makes when it has completed the set cook time. The chime sounds like circus music. Other than that we're pleased with the LG unit.

Perfect size for any kitchen, not too big nor too small. Sleek design with easy clean up. Very powerful.
Only downfall is that it does not have keypad, so you cannot simply enter a time. Instead you use the (+) button to have add time in 10, 30 or 60 second intervals.

This oven is not too large, but powerful enough for all my needs. Cute alert music--easy to use with a 30 second button. The price was super, too. It has many programs altho I use it mostly for warming up food and softening butter for baking. Easy to clean. I love it and would buy it again.

First tip: don't have this shipped to you! Mine arrived and after using it a couple days I was shocked that it was so loud when others reported how quiet it was. I returned it to the store and grabbed a replacement and was pleasantly surprised at just how quiet an undamaged version was.
1. The inside is quite spacious and you'll have no trouble fitting in even the largest dinner plate.
2. It is very quiet and makes a nice little jingle when it's done.
3. The capacative controls are very responsive and are intuitive despite how weird they look. The microwave is not only futuristic, but logically makes sense. Most of the time I just push the start button to add 30 second intervals.
4. Love how it opens by pulling it rather than pushing a button.
5. Super easy to clean (a good thing because the face of the microwave is prone to fingerprints).

I've read everyone else's review on this microwave. I love the size, the brightness of the inside lighting and the melody that is plays at the end. The sliding timer does take a bit of getting used to. But, its not a deal breaker for us. The buttons on the inside also take getting used to. But I love the look of it and the fact I dont have a door open button is actually NICE! I've had those break on other models.
