what a great washer this turned out to be. love the "allergiene" setting and being we have pets, its now our go to feature. the combo starts off with a tumble and vacuum cycle, then steams the clothes as part of the wash. they come out clean and smelling good, whereas our last dryer would leave certain smells behind. also looked at the GE profile, Samsung, and lower LG models. They all have lint issues for the heat pump fins. This one has a screen hard built in, and the only opening for lint and hair that bypasses the primary filter is the fine mesh and trench which washes everything to the bottom filter which you should drain every 10-15 washes. that bring me to the pedestal. get one. i used the capitol one chrome extension for $200 off on lg.com, and got the washer from bestbuy. pedestal came out to like $29 shipped because of the coupon. otherwise was going to go with an universal vevor for $89 off amazon. youll want a pedestal though, much easier to refill the detergent, softener, and check the hard pass filter at the bottom if this is elevated.

I waited to leave a review until I'd used the machine at least for a month. So far, so good! It cleans and dries very well. A bit more upkeep, but worth it to keep the combo working smoothly. Does it take longer to dry? Yes. In some instances (towels, for example) it takes quite a bit longer. But as long as you know that going into this, it's no problem. My only wish would be that it continued tumbling when it gets to the cool down phase of drying. The machine will say 1 minute left when it actually takes 5 minutes or more on certain types of loads. Since the air inside is a bit humid when opening, I have noticed some wrinkling that I never would have gotten before with a conventional dryer. Is it a huge problem? No, but I wish there was a way to change that. Overall though, I'm glad I made the switch to a W/D combo!

I thought it was reallly pricey and luckily they had an open box with a discount. Seems to clean better then my old washer, it removed stains from my cleaning rags I would never have tough would come out, clothes smell fresher. If may be because my old washer was old, but the new tech seems to work. Love putting in a load and when it's done it's washed and dried and kept wrinkle free till I fetched it. If you add all the extra features it does take a while, but I'm not in a hurry, haven't tried the quick wash, but I rather wait and have properly cleaned clothes.
