I bought this as a gift. Visited the store a couple of times to make sure I was getting what I needed without all the extras that I knew he wouldn't use. This was the perfect DVD player for my guy. It was easy to set-up and we used it right away. You will need to buy a separate HDMI cable as that is not included. I wish I had known that as I bought this a Christmas gift, so we went to get it hooked up and had to make a quick dash to Best Buy to buy a cable.

I purchased this for my 13-year old daughter at Best Buy for Christmas. I waited for a month and a half to do a review, in order for me to do an accurate one. My daughter has been using everyday for streaming movies from Netflix and to my surprise it loads the movies faster than my PS3. It plays blu-ray movies almost instantly, even the scratched up DVD's I rent from redbox that I can't watch with my one year old Sony bluray player.

Perfect for playing blurays, but when you get into the online features, it takes a while to respond. I love that I can connect to Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and others, but it isn't always a fast connection. Sometimes I have to go back and reload to get into the special features. Bluray quality is wonderful, though, and it is easy to navigate all the functions. Just wish it was a little quicker to respond. Overall, very happy with it, especially for the price.

First time with blu-ray easy to set up great features

Great product for a great price. Compact and I like the netflix and cinema now features.

I bought this item mainly to be able to watch netflix and hulu plus on the tv so I was a little disappointed when I found that hulu plus (despite being of the offerred features) doesn't work on the player. Every time I tried to watch something on hulu plus, the video would get stuck at multiple points. I even plugged the blu ray player directly into the wall and hulu plus still has troubles (netflix was fine though).

The is a great blue-ray nice and easy set-up right out of the box and nice and compact.
