Look, a drier is a machine that blows air to dry your clothes in a short period of time. This machine does that. I'm not into all that 50 buttons and settings to just blow hot air. I wanted a machine with three or four settings- that's all anyone really needs- cold air, warm air and hot air. three settings. done. my wife really picked this one overall as it matches our LG washer and I too kind of like the metal look versus the plain white machines that are much cheaper and do the same thing -blow air to dry your clothes. Plus this drier was on sale and I had some gift cards to use . I knew I was only going to use one or two setting and the option to decide how long I want it to dry. all that other settings is just plain stupid and unnecessary in my opinion and drives up the price of the machine- but thats the makers doing so they can make more profit. You want to steam- use the washer's steam option. A feature I noticed after I bought the machine is that you can add the water in the upper left front compartment which is very convenient if you are looking for the steam function. unlike other brands that you have to connect a water hose from the back of the machine which now that i think about it, you wouldn't have to keep adding water but you will need to connect a Y-connecter from your water supply hose to the machine- again, a drier just needs to dry my clothes. Also since we are on that subject, I tried the steam feature and when it finished the clothes felt damp and not fully dried, so back to the one setting I will always use- which is the Manual Dry, Speed dry- that setting will let me choose how much time and the heat that I want. And my clothes come out nice and dry and not wrinkled. I do like that the machine will turn every couple of minutes once it's done to prevent wrinkling but thats not a deal breaker. As far as quiet, sure it's quiet, if you don't have any clothes in it with buttons and zippers. That's what makes the noise and it can get pretty loud if you have a couple of jeans and some shirts with buttons and zippers drying. have had it a couple weeks and its doing its job- drying my clothes. All those settings? like- Anti-bacterial? Really? So I asked my friend, does this machine spray Lysol on my clothes to kill bacteria? he said no, it just blows "real hot" air to kill the bacteria. uhhh, so LG just make a setting for "real hot". The machine dries your clothes. Get it if you like "the look". don't get caught up in all that other nonsense with the settings and features and downloading cycles?? what is that? Remember- the machine just blows air to dry your clothes. That goes for any drier you're looking to purchase. When these machines start being able to take the clothes out and put in a new load to dry on their own, then i'll get excited.

This is my 3rd purchase of this dryer (house, vacation house, daughters house). Easy to use, reliable, quiet - just great!

The dryer is large enough to hold comforters and sleeping bags. It drys well at several levels.

I bought this dryer thinking I would be able to cut down on the amount that I would have to iron with the steam function. This particular model doesn't have a water hookup, but rather a water tray you have to manually fill up, and since my units are stacked its very difficult for my girlfriend to get up and get the water tray out or see when its empty. Otherwise the unit works great- like other reviewers have noted the energy efficient mode doesn't dry as well as when you shut it off and takes about twice as long. Overall very solid product

Great Dryer! Fits more loads Than I expected. Dries the clothes nicely and very quiet (wouldn’t even know it was on if it weren’t for the buzz at the end) highly recommend !

Dryer is wonderful the only thing is the filter melted immediately and has been snagging my clothing ever since.

Exactly what I expected from a front load washer: Steam, multiple cycles, very quiet, cleans clothing very well.

This unit is electric, and it is our first time buying an electric dryer. It dries faster than the last LG gas unit we bought, and is very easy to operate.

Dryer does a nice job of drying clothes quickly and quietly. Haven't had to dry anything more than once yet.

I am happy with this dryer. The steam setting is great. I had to get a booster because the front program panel is too difficult to read since it is too low.
