This is an excellent Gas Dryer. It is very quiet and has a large capacity. It has a great variety of cycles, and Steam can be added to most if not all of the cycles. The optional pedestal has excellent storage capacity and elevates the dryer to a convenient height.

I love my LG 8000 washer. It is very easy to use and looks great in my utility room. I did not like the idea of paying $1000 for a washer alone, but in this case, it is worth it.

I've had this dryer for about 3 months and couldn't be happier! I was unsure about buying an LG product because I didn't know anyone personally that had one and never owned one in the past. I did tons of research for months on several washer and dryers (comparing consumer reports findings, customer feedback on various websites and researching the individual companies). I was spending a lot of money and wanted to make a good decision. The capacity of the dryer and coordinating washer is perfect for our family needs (I can wash and dry a VERY large sleeping bag with absolutely no problem). It has cut down the number of loads I do in a week. However, because the loads are larger, I spend more time for each load folding and hanging.....still worth it! The dryer effectively and evenly dries clothes. The steam option is perfect for our dry clean only items. It is very quiet which is good because my laundry room is accross the hall from my kids rooms. The only negative is it doesn't let you change many of the pre-set programs but this to me is minor. There are several pre-set programs that work for me and there is a way to program custom settings (I've not learned that feature yet). Love, love, love this machine and would recommend to anyone. On another note, if you have Best Buy install the washer and dryer, beware of their work. We had them install the gas dryer and they neglected to use the proper tape to seal the fittings and we had a gas leak. My husband had to pull the dryer out (in a not so spacious area), fix and re-connect the machine and put back. This is not a light dryer to be moving by yourself. But at least we know it's done right now.

I have had this dryer for over 3 years and it's still going strong! It has a huge capacity and cuts my laundry time in half! Works great, lots of settings and dries fast!

The Dryer has huge capacity and can easily kit a king size comforter, sheets, pillow cases etc.all in one cycle. The Dryer is very energy efficient and runs very quiet. Great Dryer overall!!

Great machine! Does everything you can imagine regarding laundry. Between this and the matching dryer, saving a bunch on dry-cleaning. Gets really hard stains out. Love the steam features. Handles huge loads and small ones too. HIGHLY recommended! Nits below are FYI and aren't big enough to deter purchase. Nit-pick annoyances: 1) Much of the control panel lights up, but not the sub-options buttons. They are black on brown behind tinted screen. Very hard to see unless you kneel down in front of the machine. 2) The machine opens its water valves VERY fast and closes them VERY, VERY fast (and very often). Was getting bad water-hammer effect in my pipes until I installed an pair of shock arrestors directly to the back of the machine (supplementing the ones near the feed lines that worked fine alone before). Only $10 bucks each at Home Depot and easy to install, but should have been included. 3) Machine is very tenacious when trying to level out an unbalanced load before spin... actually too tenacious. Occasionally it just can't do it (completely understandable) but tries for far too long before giving up and sending a "help" tone. Extends load time when human assistance only takes a minute.

Quiet, quick, super sized, and has a nice tune that plays instead of a buzzer when clothes are done.

This is a HUGE dryer. The only minor downside is, if you use the steam function. YOU, have to fill a water reservoir!!! Other brands connect via a hose so you never have to worry about it. Compared to my last Samsung, this Dryer actually stops when your clothes are dry, not too early or too late so you can actually do something else and not monitor your "Automatic" Dryer...!

The ease of use, didn't even require reading owner manual. The dry times are much shorter than our previous dryer even when it was new. However, the size was almost shocking compared to my previous dryer. It consumed the entire space and then some. I could not use the standard 14 inch pedestal because it would have raised the dryer above the cabinets that are over it. Even so, I would recommend this dryer to anyone and everyone looking for a new clothes dryer.

This dryer holds a lot and dries super fast. I'm still learning the cycles, but what I've used works well. It is super quiet. I am reviewing a little prematurely as mine came without a piece needed for steam cycles. My dryer does not emit steam, it just pours water onto clothes and they are wet when the cycle completes. I have a repair scheduled with Geek Squad, but anticipate that it will work great once they fix that part. The filter is easy to clean and I like the melody played when the cycle finishes. I just wish I could make the melody louder.

The best dryer I have ever owned. Love the steam option and all the options it has. Large capacity and quiet as a mouse.

So far I have only done a handful of loads with this thanks in part to its super-large capacity. I have been very pleased with this product. It is relatively quite, re-balances its self mid-spin if it becomes unbalanced and it does a good job. I will update my review as I have more feedback but so far I am very happy and have no complaints.

Bought this dryer to replace an older one which still worked. Amazing how much faster it dries my clothes. This machine has the steam feature but I haven't used it yet. It is very easy to use and dries big loads just as quickly. Definitely happy with this purchase.

This dryer is really quick. The total wash/dry time is greatly reduced. The steam function really makes the clothes come out smelling fresh. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Washer and dryer were delivered about a month ago. Very pleased with the removal of the old unit and set up of the new. The units have been used pretty extensively over the last few weeks. They are being used by seven of us. They have handled the work out nicely.

We have these units only 2 months. it is difficult to say how they will serve, but we have notice they start saving energy, as well as they work very quiet,large storage capacity and easy to use.

We purchased this dryer and the matching LG washer. The dryer works great and has lots of smart features to protect delicate items. The only small issue is that large items (e.g. queen comforter) gets bunched up, so we have to manually rearrange them periodically during the drying cycle.
