This washer does a great job on all types of laundry and it is very quiet. Smaller overall size without sacrificing capacity makes it easier to fit into tight spaces.

I am happy with the multitude of options with this washer at a much lower price than comparable machines, but it struggles with more heavily soiled clothing. It is very quiet and uses very little water and I have noticed a difference in my electric bill already over my older front loading washer.

I know it sounds like I love this machine. That's because I do. We replaced a 9 year old GE front load washer that made all sorts of noises and, in the end, often needed an extra spin to get the excess water out of the clothes. We found this LG on sale for about $50 more than a bottom-of-the-line GE. When the reviews said it was fairly quiet, I was sold. I didn't know I would be getting a steam wash as well. There's also a variety of temp options including one I haven't figured out yet: tap water. The delay setting allows for exact time set, not a preset time. The tub is larger than my old machine and it's quiet. Washing clothes does take longer, but good things are worth the wait.

You have to get used to them using less water

You have to get used to the idea these washers do NOT use nearly as much water as regular tub washers. At first I felt like how in the heck will this wash my stuff with so little water? But, with the sideways tumbling, the washer does a fantastic job (just as the machines at the laundromat) that are front loading. This is a definite advantage front loaders have over top loading "he" machines. I have heard horror stories about mold and stinky smells, but if you leave the door open after use and DO NOT leave clothes inside for a day or two, this will never happen. It's really that simple. These machines are sealed tightly, so, if you leave the door shut, eventually you will start mold growing. Yes I've seen the videos of people cleaning black fungus form the door seals, but this doesn't happen if the door is opened after washing and you don't leave stuff inside a closed washer. Once a month, I use a cleaning packet on the "tub clean" cycle, but honestly, I don't think they need to be used that often if you tend to your laundry in a timely manner. You can buy the cleaning packets cheap at your local Meijer or WalMart and don't have to buy the Tide brand so they are cheap. If there were anything I think that could be improved it is this: When a load is done, it would be nice if you had a setting that would automatically "pop" the door open allowing air flow automatically. This is something I feel should have already been done. OH and the water clang sound I found was a hose that needed to be zip-tied to keep it from "slapping" when the water was turned on each time. The force of the water would cause the hose to move and smack the back of the washer. Once it was zip tied, no more noise!

This is our first time purchasing an LG product and we are loving it. It saves on water by using the right amount per load. It is also quieter yhen most and l Ioves the way it plays a tune when the load is done.

This washer does everything it is supposed to and does it all very well. We especially like the sanitary and allergen settings as we have allergies, and the tub clean cycle is great to have available.

I have wanted a front loading washer and dryer for years. We had these picked out in the spring, but the price went up the next day by $120 each so we waited and tracked the price. Finally we got it, and overall I am very satisfied for the price we paid compared to other stores and models. It cleans so much better than last regular washing machine I had, plus my towels and sheets smell so much fresher. It is pretty noisy which I think is standard for front loaders, so if you are worried about noise, it's something it think about.

The capacity is great and it's easy to use. The door hinge side isn't swappable so note that it opens on the right (hinge on left).

I have had this washer for a month and I am very pleased so far. From the sale, to the delivery & installation, to the use - it has been a wonderful experience. I will review it again in the future when I've been using the product for a bit longer, but for now I've used every type of cycle (except for the steam clean) and have been happy with the results. After reading other reviews, I make sure to follow all the directions and wipe out the washer after I'm done using it in order to keep the moldy scent from occurring.

We got this washer a couple months ago when it was on sale and I can say this is the best washer out there. While it isn't super quiet when its taking water, it runs quietly the rest of the time. Our clothes come out clean, there are plenty of options to wash that would cover anything you would need and the steam option (and extra hot cycles) are very nice for rags and other dirty items.
If you leave the door open after washing it will dry out the water and you won't have to worry about that smell that some people complain about with front loaders. This has a self diagnostic tool (haven't had to use) and even the finish chime is pleasant - it's a little song instead of a loud buzz. You can turn pretty much everything on or off if you want. They are very nice looking as well, people think we paid a lot more than we did!
I would HIGHLY recommend this washer (and it's dryer partner). Definitely worth the money and a Consumer Digest Best Buy. You can tell it is quality. Plus we barely go through detergent anymore which saves a lot of money!
