This high-quality cooktop with smart features fit perfectly in place of the GE profile cooktop that was original to our home. This LG cooktop is a higher quality and just looks better in our home. The light up burner knobs is just a nice added touch in my wife loves.

Outstanding 36-inch cooktop. Very well thought out design that is robust and easy to clean. The range of burner sizes and the range of output for each burner is best-in-class. Our new LG Studio is remarkably better in design, build quality, and utility compared to our previous Thermador.

So far so good! High set burners, great even flame smooth dials with backlight and the griddle plate is great for tacos and eggs so far. Looks classy and is quality. Very user friendly and knobs placed well. I also bought specifically due to propane compatibility and that the grates are dishwasher friendly!

I have been researching gas cooktops and decided to go with this LG Studio version due to a number of great features like fully sealed burners (made in Italy by the way), amazing 22000 BTU output, WiFi feature (though very basic). I really like the design and where the knobs are located. They also light up when in use. It was an easy install and I definitely recommend this cooktop

House had an awful electric cooktop. We put a propane tank in for pool heat and so we were able to easily add a gas cooktop. It’s a great product.

One of the best gas cooktops you can buy today. The center mounted UltraHeat burner puts out up to 24000 BTU of heat, which is far more than other manufacturers. Cooktop also looks really nice and cast iron grates are high quality. Center and front right burner have brass fittings as well.

    Terrible Customer Service

Best Buy's handling of the installation process, and subsequent customer service, is below acceptable standards. The cooktop was installed on October 22, but two of the burners did not operate properly. Best Buy approved a new cooktop to be installed in the first cooktop's place, but scheduling the second installation was quite challenging. I began calling Best Buy's Customer Service Department after unsuccessfully waiting about two weeks for Best Buy to contact me regarding installation. Customer Service was not able to schedule installation, and instead made me contact Geek Squad, who then required me to call the third-party installer directly. I was finally able to get the second installation set up for November 13. On November 11, however, I received emails from Best Buy indicating installation would occur on November 19. I contacted Best Buy Customer Service about the change, and was informed the installation would, in fact, occur on November 19, and I would receive emails from Best Buy on November 18 advising me of the installation window. On November 18, Best Buy sent emails indicating I had three appointments for the next day - 7 AM - 7 PM (Cooktop Delivery), 7:45 AM - 10:45 AM (Cooktop Installation), and 1 PM - 5PM (Haul away of old cooktop). I contacted Best Buy Customer Service, as it seemed ridiculous to send three different teams to install a cooktop. I also noted the timeframe for the cooktop delivery went far past the installation timeframe. How could the cooktop be installed by 10:45 AM if it did not arrive until the afternoon? Best Buy Customer Service assured me one team would complete the delivery, installation, and haul away, and the timeframe would be 1:30 - 2:30 PM. I accepted this, but then received another email with a new timeframe of 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. I called Best Buy Customer Service again, and was told installation would occur in this timeframe. At approximately 9:30 AM on November 22, the installer called me to ask if the cooktop had been delivered. As it turns out, different teams were delivering and installing the cooktop. Since the installer could not complete his task until the cooktop arrived, it became my responsibility to call the installer to inform him once it did. Despite a delivery window of 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM, the cooktop did not arrive by 12:30 PM. I contacted Best Buy, and was informed there had been an unexpected delay with delivery, and the new delivery timeframe was 1 - 5 PM. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, as I had spent the entire morning waiting for the cooktop delivery, and would now need to continue waiting throughout the afternoon. My request was denied, as the customer service representative stated no manager or supervisor was on site. The representative assured me that my case would be escalated, and a manager/supervisor would contact me within 24 hours. The cooktop finally arrived at about 2:45 PM. It turns out the delivery team was also supposed to haul the original cooktop away. They seemed a bit frustrated about needing to wait for the installer to arrive to uninstall the original cooktop. I am at a loss as to why they were surprised. Why would the installer come to complete his tasks before the new cooktop arrived for him to install? I contacted the installer, and installation was complete at about 4:45 PM. The new cooktop works as expected. Having not heard from a manager or supervisor, I called Best Buy Customer Service on November 20 and 21. I received the same empty promises that I would be contacted by a manager/supervisor within 24 hours. I am so disappointed with Best Buy's customer service. I do not think Best Buy is intentionally trying to irritate me, but it is quite clear Best Buy does not care I am upset. I know many people in my position would say they would never purchase anything from Best Buy again. I won't say that, because it's probably just not true. I will, however, think twice about making major purchases through Best Buy in the future. Given my recent experience, even at a higher price point, I would lean towards Best Buy's competitors rather than taking a chance on Best Buy's customer service again. In the meantime, I guess I'll just hold my breath waiting for a manager or supervisor to call me...

Hi, Briani. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with us. We understand how important it is for your LG Cooktop (CBGS3628S) model to be installed smoothly and for communication to be clear throughout the process.

Since two burners were not operating properly on the first unit, one helpful step after installation is to ensure the gas supply line is fully open and the burners are seated correctly. Sometimes reseating the burner caps and checking that they are aligned with the base can restore proper ignition. You can also review our guide here for additional support: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-CBGS3628S.BSTESTA. If the issue continues or if you need assistance with parts or service scheduling, please send us an email at [email protected] so we can help you directly. ^Juvy LG

Super efficient, and really attractive in our kitchen. I love how the knobs light up, reminding me that a burner is on - and with the low-simmer option, it's sometimes hard to tell, so a nice feature. Center high-heat burner is amazing.....We've had it about a month - love it so far!

Haven’t received it yet but the quality of the brass burners and the knobs seem to be much higher than the Samsung that we looked at in the store at the same price point.

So far we really like the cooktop, especially the heavy duty grates and the ease of cleanup with a simple soapy spurge. Center burner igniter was broken, LG sending a new one. Main compliant is the two 10k and one 13.5k burners won’t boil water, will get to 210 degrees here at sea level which is almost a boil but not a rolling boil for pasta. Currently upgrading gas line to hopefully bring more volume to increase flames on these burners.

I have had this cooktop installed for 3 months now. It heats well, is easy to clean and looks nice. However, it is a new model with a mother board issue. All 5 illuminated knob lights have gone out at the same time. The repair technician came out and is trying to locate the necessary repair part which is showing not in stock. I will not know what LG plans to do for a few weeks.
