Pretty solid earbuds

Pretty impressed with these earbuds. While they're not as well known as Beats or Sony, I was pleasantly surprised overall with these earbuds.
The size of these earbuds are very small. Even the case is small as you can see in my pics. The Beats Fit Pro case was the smallest earbud case I had until I got these LG Tones. It's almost the size of a crab cake :) The earbuds themselves are on the smaller side as well. My previous Bose ones were oddly big sized as were a couple other brands I had. They sit well, almost perfectly, for me. I didn't even need to mess around with the other tips to find a good fit. They sit well in the ear too so they're not jiggling around or have any worry about them falling out.
Sound wise, very pleasantly surprised. For calls, I had no complaints about muffled sounds or weird background noises. Call quality was pretty good so I have no complaints here. For music, these sound very good. Good highs and mids and the bass was OK. For me, I'm used to a louder, more pronounced, bass sound since I listen to a lot of EDM. While you won't get any booming bass notes from these earbuds, they still do come through with a decent sound.
The UV feature on these earbuds is probably the most unique as I've never seen them on any other earbuds so far. While I can't really tell if you if they work or not, I'm glad that these have some sort of feature to clean the earbuds when not in use. It only works if the earbuds are in the case and the case is plugged in but, for me, it's not really an issue since I charge these up after the subway ride to/from work.
Overall, great sounding earbuds, super tiny case and the added UV cleaning feature is pretty nice.

I have had a few weeks to truly enjoy these headphones and its features which are not common for earbud headphones.
SOUND
The sound quality is full and rich , it has very immersive sound and i truly enjoy the different sound presets. The different sound profiles allow you to compliment the audio being played at the time. The design of the earbud insert, does keep sound leakage to a minimum. provided one of the 3 sizes is a perfect fit.
The noise cancelling has the option to really immerse your self in the tunes and block out distractions. It has the feature of allowing you to choose the high or low setting for noise cancellation. I enjoy the HIGH setting when you are working out and there is no need for outside noise distractions. When I need to be aware of exterior noise such as traffic and people around me the LOW setting does the job nicely.
UV LIGHT
I happen to have sensitive (inner) ears, meaning i get irritations from any headphone inserts unless they are constantly disinfected. These headphones help you with that problem as they have a built in UV LIGHT which disinfects the earbuds each time you put them in the case and close the lid.
QUICK RECHARGE
5 min charge for approximately an 1 hour of use! 'NUFF SAID.
AUX INPUT
The case comes with a AUX input cable which means that you can connect the case to a NON-BLUETOOTH audio source as long it as an aux jack and the case will transmit the sound to your headphones. AMAZING FOR PLANE TRIPS when using their audio for movies on long flights. It does come in handy believe it or not more than you would think.
FIT
The have a simple design and snug fit, not overly secure. They will not fall out but on a 10k run i did find myself adjusting them a few times as the sweat made them a slip out a little bit. It isn't major but a more secure fit would be nice for workouts.
TOUC CONTROLS
The touch controls are VERY responsive, so much so that any slight tap or graze will pause the music or skip ahead. I do like the feature but it can get annoying if you are adjutsing the headphones and slightly touch the sensor pad and it stops or skips the track which is a huge momentum killer.
OVERALL
I genuinely recommend them and I think LG hit the mark with these reasonably priced headphone, the performance and features scratch every itch you might have.

I honestly love these. They sound great, they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, the battery life is fantastic, the touch controls are extremely responsive, the app is simple but very clean and easy to use and the UV cleaning light in the case is a nice touch. However, where they fall short for me is the ANC or lack thereof. I tried different size ear tips and adjusting the ANC in the app and there is very little difference. But overall, I'd still say that these are a great pair of buds to have

These are so good. I love the fit! These are very comfortable and I have never felt like they would fall out. They are also very lightweight and I've received no complaints about the mic. I use these for conference calls at work. I like that the tap controls make a clicking noise so you know that you are actually hitting the sensors. Sound quality is good. They aren't multi connect but they do well when I pull the connection from my phone to my laptop to take calls. Over I would definitely recommend to anyone!

The smaller housings make these easier to find a good fit and more ears
I enjoy the sound very much for this price point
Battery life is great
Case is not too large
Changing eartips can be akward but not enough to knock off a star
ANC could be stronger but not a huge deal for me personally

I mostly wanted them for workouts and using at home when others are sleeping. The noise canceling is good but not great. I sweat, run, and lift weights and these buds stay in place. I love that they connect easily and quickly to my phone and TV. I have yet to use the adapter that turns the case into a Bluetooth dongle but it is such a cool feature. Lastly I have to say the battery holds it charge for a long time. I use these everyday for at least 8 hours a week and I only have to charge the case once every 2-3 weeks. I wish the noise canceling was better and they would bump this review to 5 stars but for this price I won’t complain too much.

The sound quality was good when you have the right tip attached to the headphone and they are seated properly. The noise canceling was not a night and day difference for me but was noticeable when I listened for it carefully. Again having the right size tip and the headphone seated made a huge difference. I had trouble with that. They ship with three sizes but none really worked that great. They are almost too thin and cannot seat. This also effected the comfort level with these for me (keep in mind that everyone’s ears are different) but the main body of the earphone when placed in my ear could never get to a point where I didn’t notice them. They are not “uncomfortable” generally speaking for me but after about 20 minutes, I was ready to pull them out. They felt fat in my ear.
The main feature I really loved about these earphones in a crowded earphone market is the “plug and wireless” feature. It is really awesome. I plugged my PS4 controller into the aux cable that plugs into the headphone's charging case and boom! I was playing wirelessly…mostly… Be suer to select the aux button on the side of the earphone case or it will stay Bluetooth and not work. Keep in mind the controller is now plugged into the charging case which must be accounted for. It sat nicely on my lap while playing. You can plug it into anything with an aux port and make the device play to these wireless earphones! Pretty cool. NOTE: If you are using that feature for gaming you can not use it to talk on a co-opt game. I could not figure out anyway to get the mic to work while gaming. I suspect that the aux cable they provide does not have a mic channel? Not sure. Bummer though. Because it does work great for phone calls when not plugged into the case for the plug and wireless feature. It has three mics in the headphones to allow for crisp calls… why not for gaming???
The UV cleaning was pretty cool idea I thought…but how dirty can a persons inner ears really get? I mean wax yes but viruses and bacterial in my inner ear? Maybe…but make a wax burning laser and you’d have something! LG mentions that it kills 99.9% of bacterial on the speaker mesh, I guess that's good? I’d rather have the ability to talk while gaming than bacterial free speaker mesh.
The last thing that really let me down was the LG’s app. It’s rated 2 stars on the App Store out of 194 votes. I think that is being generous. It did nothing but give me some basic slides about the headphones. I tried to select the different EQ settings and it would spin and act like it might switch sound profiles but I did not hear any difference. I had to double check a few times to make sure I had everything paired etc because I could not believe the app would be so not beneficial to the use of the phones. Maybe they work better with android or non apple version of the app. IDK.
I do like that they were IPX4 sweat and water resistant! That is important to anyone who wants to use them for exercise. I found for me that they would unseat when I used them for jogging and I had to reset them in my ear more than I would have liked. Everyone is different with that.
I would say that’s if you fly a lot etc and would really benefit from the plug and wireless feature AND found these to seat and fit comfortably you might have a winner on your hands. Overall I think there are better headphones in the market place. I love LG, I have a washer and dryer and tvs etc but just could not grove with these.

I absolutely love these ear buds. I switched from an iPhone to my Samsung S22 Ultra and was having a hard time getting comfortable ear buds. I have small ears with small ear canals and everything would other hurt or start to just fall out of my ears. These so far have been comfortable and for the most part stay put with minor adjustment. However, depending on what I am listening to I get a weird crackle sound in the buds but not enough for me to not like them. The sound is good compared to the Air Pod Pros (not better but close). I keep my sound profile on 3D and I like it better.

Got these headphones to replace some Airpod Pros. In terms of sound quality, the Airpod Pros have it beat but only slightly. I find the LG Tones to be much more comfortable. In addition, the noise cancellation doesn't have that pressure feeling in the ear canal like Apple's do.
Only negative is the lack of wireless charging on the case - seems like it should have been easy to do but not a big deal. The case rarely needs recharged and when it does it's pretty quick via the included USB cable.

These are the best earbuds I’ve ever had! I love the sound and how comfortable they are. I can have them in my ears all day and it doesn’t bother me. The app is really awesome as well because you can adjust and customize setting to your likings. Headphones and everything is that comes with them works great and flawless. The app itself has awful ratings not even 2 stars. It’s a tad confusing but not that bad getting everything paired together you download the app then you pair them, after you’ve paired the earbuds to the phone you’ll open up the TONE free app and it’ll ask you to join and pair. Just hit accept to both the questions so you can connect easily. I did find out that if you change the name of the earbuds in the Bluetooth settings it wouldn’t connect to the TONE app after doing that. The earbuds were connected and working fine but I couldn’t access the app until I changed the earbuds name back to what it was. These are also some of the lowest profile earbuds I’ve seen. They fit so extremely nice in your ear. I highly recommend these earbuds to anyone who loves good sounding quality music with active noise canceling.

Excellent spund quality. There are a few small slightly annoying features that could be addressed with some retooling of the app. The biggest of these is that the long press of eother earbud only cycles between ambient sound boosting and noise cancelling. To turn it off fully ypuust open the app. If they could add thw full noise canceliing off to the long press option it would be wonderful.
I find the equalizer settings fantastic right out of the box with no cuat9m adjustments needed.
The noise cancelling works well and i did not notice any feeling of pressure on theblow or high settings.
The fit is OK but no great. They are very comfortable but it seems with shaking or running they may dislodge.
Battery life seems exaclty as indicated.

These are incredible earbuds. I think LG is doing something truly interesting in the buds market with the tonefrees. The ability to use the case as a Bluetooth adapter for any device that uses a 3.5mm Jack is game changing and made me realize that more products should be doing this. It should absolutely be the standard. These buds also sound and feel great to wear. The active noise cancelling is superb not as good as the airpods pro but still very useable in any environment. The same goes for their transparency mode. The battery life is amazing I use these for 8 hour shifts at work and they last 7+ hours and only need a quick 5 minute recharge before they are ready to go for the brief remainder of my shift. They also have amazing range I work at Best Buy ironically enough and that work great from across the entire electronic filled store. I highly recommend these if you're looking for a new set of buds to daily drive.

The LG Tone Free FP9 earphones have beautiful design. They are very sleek and elegant. The sound quality is also great. It is easy to connect them with mobile phones, desktops and even chromecast like devices. I was also very excited about the ability to connect them through aux port and they did not disappoint. I also found it very handy for quickly connecting with any device for a small period of time. The charging lasts for at least more than a day, and the indicators work very well to denote the current battery status. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new pair of earbuds.

These earbuds are very lightweight. You don't even notice that you're wearing them. I haven't tried out the plug and play feature. The UV Nano feature is very nice to get some extra protection against bacteria but you should also wipe down the silicone tips as well. I like the Immersive setting and Treble Boost settings as I feel these both yield the best sound. They sound pretty good but won't knock your socks off. More of a neutral sounding earbud which is always a good thing. If you're a basshead, I'd look elsewhere like the Liberty 3 Pros.

I've had these earbuds for about 6 weeks now, and I'm impressed. The sound quality is good and the LG Tone Free app allows some customization of the equalization (Immersive, Bass Boost, 3D Sound Stage, etc), as well as showing the battery charge status of the ear buds and the case.
An unusual feature of these ear buds is that, for music devices that don't have Bluetooth, you can plug the case into the headphone jack of those devices via a supplied cable, flip a switch on the side of the case, and the case will send your music to the ear buds via Bluetooth. Just make sure this feature is switched OFF when trying to connect to your devices WITH Bluetooth. I spent hours trying to figure out why the ear buds would connect for a few seconds, then automatically disconnect.

Great headphones. I enjoyed them a lot with good noise canceling and clear music but my only problem with them was they kept falling out. I’m not a germaphobe but having UV Light is just another reassurance of cleanliness since I don’t really clean my headphones often. The battery life is no joke. I work 10 hours everyday for a month not once did the earbuds died on me while ending a shift which made me happy because I work in a warehouse and the ambience was pretty good.

Very good sound for the price, I like the UV sterilization. I also bought them for listening to my TV. The charging case has a feature that allows them to be connected to a non-bluetooth device that has a headphone jack, such as a stereo receiver. My Yamaha stereo receiver has bluetooth, but has a very high latency when used as a transmitter to a pair of headphones, which isn't good when you're watching movies on a TV. I connect the charging case to the receiver's headphone output and use them in plug and wireless mode, still has a slight latency, but isn't as bad.
They also have pretty decent sound for their price, and fit well in my ears.
