Great LG wireless buds, iffy about the retraction

So I opted to upgrade from my hbs750 LG buds and ended up going back to them because spite the quality, stability, and design that LG brings to the table... I didn't feel so secure in the threaded retractable buds on these. I could be wrong, I even had a few customers and BB employees to reference getting the protection plan because the portion that sits at the back of your neck are known to crack and/or break. Maybe it was just my precaution... Nonetheless LG's retractable buds still provide great sound, battery life, and style

I bought these headphones for my wife and she loves them - which translates to her wearing them all the time (while driving, on the treadmill, etc). Light weight and very easy to use. The retractable earbuds are so practical and worth the extra dollars. The sound quality is excellent, which is expected from the Harmin / Kardon edition. The phone works well, although it does pick up background noise which can be heard on the receiving end. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I bought this headphone set on a whim.I was looking around Best Buy and happened upon a special in store sale on this model. The sale had it priced below the lesser model. They're very comfortable and I like the unique style. The bluetooth seems to work seamlessly. I don't know the range because I've only tried it with my iPhone in my pocket. I gave it 4 stars because I feel the bass could be a little better. But other than that I would recommend this set.

Great bass response, easy to use and rugged. The Best Buy associate was Very Helpful in the decision of this buy. I work in harsh outdoor environment and it has held up well, with care. The less expensive LG models are loose fitting but this unit stays in place. The sound is amazing with the bass not rattling like the cheaper units. It cost more but you get more it you can afford it. Again the B.B. Asso. was very helpful showing me all the all the costs with each advantage.

Meeting My Expectations...so far

Only time will tell but so far these new LG headphones have passed the eye test (and ear test). I was a bit hesitant to purchase this model after reading all of the reviews. There were two common negatives that I kept coming across.
The first is how they feel around the neck. Some report that due to the stiffness and lack of flexibility the feeling around the neck was somewhat uncomfortable. Thankfully my neck falls into a size that makes this a non issue. Either that or I have diminished feeling in my neck. I have no problem at all wearing these for long periods of time. They're comfortable and light.
The second complaint that has been repeated multiple time is the durability. Some said that after x amount of time that the headphones stopped taking a charge and/or other similar problems. I am proud to report that I have not had any such problems as of yet. If that changes for some reason I will be sure to update my review.
Overall I am happy with this product. The battery lasts long enough to wear I don't feel like I HAVE TO always remember to charge it. The main usage for my headphones are listening while at the gym. The volume levels aren't an issue when I'm in a louder public area. The buds fit nicely into my ears. The controls are responsive to the touch.
The only places I am not as pleased as I was with my previous headphones (LG HSB700) are in two areas. The range is less than what it was compared to old ones. You can forget about that 30 foot mark, maybe 10 feet or 15 feet if it's a clear path. The second thing is that there's a faint clicking noise that I hear when skipping to the next song or repeating the previous one for that matter. It only lasts for a second and honestly is a very minor annoyance.
If anyone is curious what I'm pairing this with, I'm using an Android phone running Lollipop 5.0.1.

Best Bluetooth Stereo Ear Bud Headset

I have owned LG bluetooth ear bud headset's since they first appeared on the market. The sound quality, comfort & ease of use has always been superior. Now they come in 3 quality levels. I was able to get the top level with Harmon Kardon speakers for the same price as the mid-level JBL speaker set, when Best Buy had them on sale. Either set is a great choice. The HK's have a few extra features, such as push button retractable bud wires. The sound is flawless.

I bought this for my husband. He is a service technician that has to be on his phone constantly. This headset allows him to be hands free to work and still allows him to make and receive calls without hassle. The range is about 25 feet and the sound is very clear without background noise. The retractable ear buds are perfect so you do not have to worry about tangled cords. My husband wears it so often he has to remember to take it off before shower or bed.

This BT is pretty awesome! It has great battery life. Fits nicely around my neck. Can't really tell its there. Could be a bit louder, can't quite hear people on the phone as well when I'm in a noisy area.
I've only had this BT for about a month, so I really can't give it 5 stars.
Time will tell if it can really stand up again the abuse of a 15 hour day being used for personal and business calls!

I had concerns regarding some of the reviews about this product. My main concern was the thin earbud cables. However, after several months of daily use, I am convinced the wires are very durable. The retractable cable is more than a plus but is a necessity. Another concern was that any type of liquid going to the headphones would damage ie. sweat from exercising. I had these on my neck when it was raining hard. I was drenched in a matter of seconds and was soaked for a good 3 minutes running to my car. Got in my car and was worried these headphones were done for. Absolutely no issues after getting them wet like that. Sound quality is superb. Much better than the bass heavy tone ultras. Phone calls are not an issue either even without the active noise cancelling from the tone ultras. These headphones are the perfect fit for my ears as well and sounded as if there's noise cancelling anyway. I have been very content switching to these from tone ultras and would gladly buy another for my wife.

My Favorite Bluetooth Headset

Of all the bluetooth headsets I've tried out, these are by far the best one's I've used. If you fear losing headphones like the bluetooth sets that are just a cable and two ear buds, or don't like how the magnetic counterparts keep getting tangled, then this is the headset for you. Call and sound quality are fantastic and the earbuds (to me) are very comfortable. Other than the pretty high price tag, I've enjoyed using this headset a lot.

Great set of headphones. Good sound, comfortable, and great battery life. The retractable cord is mostly for storage and is good because the thin cord might get cut if it snags on something. The headphone band would bounce if you tried to run with them. So probably not best for running. Great for lifting weights though.

Great sound once you find the proper fitting end on the head phone, it comes with three of them: small, medium and large. Mine shipped with the small installed, I kept having to push it in my ear and if I opened my mouth it would loose the seal and sound tinny. I then decided to try the medium size tips and Wow! The sound is excellent, the seal stays and the bass is really nice. I have a Bose headset, Bose bluetooth head phones, UE6000 and Marshall Studios, I will say that these things sound as good and maybe slightly better. The best part of these things is they fade away, no cords to your device or cans on your ears. I am worried about how long they will last with the thin ear phone cord and having to pull it out. (time will tell) Note: I wanted to add that finding the right ear tip size is critical for deep rich sound. I went from small, to medium and now to large and large seems to make the best seal and best sound quality for me. So if it sounds tinny try different sizes.
I wanted to add something, after wearing these for extended sessions the silicon get somewhat uncomfortable when trying to keep a max seal on your ear. So I went to radio shack and got the s400 comply foam ear tips and the comfort, seal, sound is off the charts.
If you do not like in ear head phones because of the comfort factor due to silicone tips do your self a favor and get the comply foam tips for it you will not regret it

Own the Tone+ and like those. Picked these up on sale and burned some reward zone points. Nice sound. Liking the retractable buds. Comfortable. Range seems like it could be a little better. Battery life is great. Call quality very good. Build quality is nice. Seem to be holding up well so far after close to a month of nearly daily use. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

I have found this headphone to work very well. I never have any connection issues. It has a very nice sound when listening to music. I love being able to retract the earbuds and not having a wire hanging down. So far the battery has lasted through my usage during the day and only recharge it at night. Very nice device!

I listen to audio books at work...A LOT! I, like many others originally started with the first generation LG Bluetooth headset (can't remember model #, but see all other reviews). I had them for about a year and the only problem I had was that tiny piece that holds the cord (very easy fix with a tie-wrap). Otherwise, I had no need to upgrade, until this model went on sale. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase! Like I said earlier, I have these on at work for at least 7-8 hours/day with the battery still at medium when I get off. I only keep one earpiece in at a time, as I work in a warehouse with forklifts and other heavy machinery driving around me, but even with all the noise, these sound amazing. I'm not a runner, or don't go to the gym daily, so I can't speak for that application of them, but if you need something that sounds good, keeps a charge, and make occasional (crystal clear) calls with, these should definitely do the trick.

Got these at a great special discount. Had the
the older LG set. This one definitely sounds better and no music skip when listening via bluetooth, unlike my other one. The push to retract ear buds is a cool feature. Battery life is superb. Clear sound both ways when using it to talk. Highly recommend.

Been using this headset for over a month now. Overall satisfied with this product. Battery life was a major factor for me and so far this product seems to deliver as advertised.
Two things keep me from giving 5 Stars:
- Background Noise -- this headset picks up *a lot* of background noise, including footsteps and the kids upstairs. When I'm not talking, I will go on mute most of the time. Which brings us to negative point #2....
- Mute functionality -- the headset does have a build-in mute function, but it requires you to press the two buttons on either side of the headset at the same time. Makes the feature useless when driving, and overall cumbersome. I've not been able to discern if the audible beep when using the mute function is different when muting vs un-muting. I've reverted to using my phone's mute function.
Still, overall satisfied with this headset. Seems to have good sound quality, persons to whom I'm speaking seem to hear me clearly, and the battery life seems to be as advertised.

This is the best Bluetooth headset I have found. It fits comfortably around the neck and the retracting buttons ensure that you do not have to worry about pulling the cords too hard! I really love that feature. The button placement on the headset does take some getting used to, since there are several buttons that do different things, but once you know what each button does and where it is located you are in business! The sound quality that comes from this headset is fantastic, and the noise cancellation is a big plus, especially for those in busy, noisy areas. No worry on whether the person on the other end will hear you or the huge semi truck that just passed you. I have owned other headsets like this one that lays around the neck, and they don't even compare to the quality of this one! Don't go for the cheap knock off - get the real deal! I promise you won't be disappointed!
