We wanted a quiet machine since our laundry room is right off our bedroom in our new house.

You will not just pay for the dryer and any of the basic parts you need for installation, but also for any delicate piece of clothes, especially the ones that you like... We bought it in May of 2018. It dries fine, but you will notice after a while that the lint filter will stop fitting flushed in its slot. The lint will slowly build up at the bottom of the slot and push the filter up, making the edges of the filter to stick out. I've lost 2 tops with thin straps to the dryer. The design team at LG really hit this one out of the park. And on top of it, LG won't do anything about it.... because lets face it, what can they do. One solution that I found on the LG website under the filter replacement page, is to file the filter at the bottom so that it fits lower, especially because even after removing the lint from the vent, it seem the filter has changed shape due to the heat. Save yourself some money. Don't buy this one, and do your research on any other dryer you plan to buy, especially on the filter.... P.S. The pic of the filter sitting in the slot is after I took the lint out, It was worse. And the picture of the lint is the build up of about 6 or 7 month....

Great. Works as advertised, have no complaints, the display is bright, and the unit is quiet.

This is the second LG washer and dryer set I have purchased and they are impressing me more as time goes on! I only bought a new set because I included my originals in the sale of my home, I had used them for about 5 years, never an issue always a great clean!

Most of the comments on this dryer seem to focus on its ease of use, attractive design, large capacity and useful features. And that is all true, in my experience. Perhaps you would also be interested to know that the steam feature not only works well but that it can lower your dry cleaning bill. If you are wearing business casual shirts, for instance, use the steam feature, pull the clothing out just as soon as it is done, hang it up to finish drying (it will still be rather wet) and then count the dollars you are saving. I still dry clean suits or and more fragile clothing items. But after using this feature for a few weeks now, I am no longer making every-week trips to the dry cleaner.

This is a fantastic dryer. It is very quiet, has many useful features, and is easy to use. Before purchasing this dryer, I mainly used our dryer in timed mode, as our old dryer performed the best in this mode. I use the available modes with this LG dryer, and the steam mode is especially useful when drying permanent press dress shirts.

Super nice dryer! I've owned it for just under 4 months now and absolutely love it! It is very efficient and even stops drying if it senses things are already dry. It's easy to use even with all the buttons. Great features too. You get what you pay for with this LG! Not complaints.

After reading several reviews and already owning a similar model in another home I decided on this one. We have been happy with how well it dries the clothes and how quiet it is. I was a little worried about going electric over gas since my other one was gas and we really liked it, but overall I don't think there is much of a difference. It actually saved me from a potentially bad situation by notifying me the dryer vent was 80% clogged and it wasn't getting good exhaust flow. It turns out the vent in our new house was screwed up and I'm in the process of running a new dryer vent outside. Overall I recommend this unit. I have only had it a short time but I will update my rating if something changes.

I purchased this with matching Dryer 6 months ago. So far so good. It drys cloths consistently well. It is easy to take care of. It is not annoyingly loud. The moisture sensor settings seem to work. The capacity is plenty large enough. So far nothing negative to say...

This product at the time of my purchase was one of consumer reports top machines on their list. It works very well and I'm pleased with it. A word to the wise, this machine is slightly larger than other machines. I have a bad back and bought the pedestal to bring it up to a more manageable level (I'm 6'2"). It barely fit in the built in area for the washer and dryer for the height and width, so measure before you purchase. If it will fit purchase it, it fits a king size bed comforter with ease and does a great job with it. It is so efficient on bills too that my electric bill went down by about 20 dollars, and my previous dryer was only a few years old that we hated (didn't use consumer reports at the time). So don't waste your money on anything else, after all consumer reports bought all the other ones too so people like us don't have to waste money.

I have never owned a steam dryer before. When I first tried this dryer it was super quite and easy to use. The steam feature took out heavy wrinkles in a few minutes. There is nothing I could complain about at all.

It is quiet and efficient, which is mostly what I was looking for. I haven't used some the advanced features yet but it has performed wonderfully and it can handle a huge load of clothes superbly.

We've had our new dryer for 4 weeks. BestBuy installation went very well - on-time and efficient. The dryer is easy to use and so QUIET. The lint trap is simple to clean. The interior light makes retrieving clothes easy. The controls offer a wide range of options that I've only just begun to take advantage of. I like that it plans a short tune when finished rather than an annoying buzzer. Clothes, sheets, and towels come out dry and fluffy. I have not used the steam function yet. The timer countdown is, unexpectedly, very handy in helping to plan because I don't run the dryer when away from the house. Overall, given the performance so far, I'd recommend.

Was looking for a new washer and dryer and came across this at our local BB and took advantage of their deal! We ended up buying both for our new home!

Super quiet when running and fast drying. The steam function uses a tray you manually fill, but that saves connecting another set of water lines when you already have two washers. The normal dry setting is far faster than my old school dryer that was in the house already. Keeps up with washer pretty well. I use the steam function to fluff the clothes I hang dry and it removes wrinkles nicely.

I was at first intimidated by this dryer and its electronics. It's really very straightforward. I've had it for several weeks now, and it dries like a charm. I am REALLY pleased. It's a very efficient dryer. I like the feature of steaming and fluffing up my shirts if I happen to forget taking them out of the dryer!

This dryer is one of the best investments I made. It's so silent I sometimes even forget it's on. The different modes are great and the dryer rack option really comes in handy. This even has a towels mode! The Steam feature can really be beneficial in order to save on dry cleaning. The drum is large enough to fit bulky loads and it won't take forever to dry. I highly recommend!

I like all the cycles and the flexibility to customize them as needed. The steam cycle is great at reducing static cling and wrinkles. I also like the damp dry signal option. I take out delicate items before they are completely dry. It's a quiet machine with a nice end-of-cycle chime. A good purchase. I also bought the matching washer.
