    So Far, So Good

After much research, pulled the trigger on this washer and matching LG dryer a few months ago. Reviews seemed good and they were dead on. I'm really happy with this purchase and we use it daily. Washer has more options than we will ever use. We use the Allergen cycle a lot for baby clothes. This cycle uses steam which seems to work well. Steam can be used for almost every other cycle as an option. Clothes seem very clean and smell great. White loads have never been this white when compared to my old top load. For size reference, we have no issue washing a queen size comfortor by itself. Would purchase this again but hopefully this pair will last!

After owning a Matag washer and dryer for 15 years it was time to update. The Matag was great but used way too much water as well as cycle time for a normal load of clothes from start to finish in the dryer took about 2.5 hours. This pair is incredible. Washing time and drying time for the same size load took at least one hour less. The clothes came out softer, fresher and cleaner than with the older model Matag. As for quietness and vibration, this pair is remarkable. These are installed in a second floor laundry room and you can barely here them running downstairs. Lastly, the energy and water company rebates coupled with the sale price for these were a great motivator. We are very pleased with this model LG. granted we have had these less than one month but time will tell. I urge anyone reading this review to READ the owners manual. Lots of good info and tips.

It really does save on water and electricity

This washer replaced a 15 year old top-loader, so it definitely wins in terms of updated styling, features, and energy efficiency. Speaking of efficiency, depending on where you live, you may qualify for a rebate from your local utility. The features on this are amazing, and I love the little tune it plays when the load is finished. It handles much larger loads than my old top loader, and once I got the feet properly adjusted for my un-level floor, it only shakes a little bit during the spin cycles, and it's really quiet. My only complaint is one that's common to almost all washing machines, and it's the way it "pulses" the water on and off when filling up. I have a tankless hot water heater, so when it's turning the hot water on/off/on/off over and over, it causes my tankless unit to repeatedly cycle on and off. My old washer did that as well and I hoped new machines would avoid that. The good news is, it only seems to do that pulsing water-fill during the initial part of the cycle, then it seems to fill in longer bursts, so I think it has to do with measuring the size of the load at first. I was really impressed that I could jam in my king size comforter. I used to have to take that to a laundromat and use one of the large units, but I can just barely manage to get it in. If you have large blankets or comforters, give it a try. It might not exactly fit, but it definitely has a large capacity.

    Wow...

This washer is leaps and bounds above what I previously had. It's not a difficult machine to use, either. The manual (yes, I actually read the manual) fairly well explained which cycles to use for certain types of loads. I also purchased the matching dryer AND the pedestals. Trust me, you will not regret getting the pedestals. Your back will thank you. And with the washer and dryer placed side-by-side (with the washer on the left), and their doors opening in the opposite directions, it is a snap to move laundry from the washer to the dryer. The Best Buy delivery team did a fantastic job setting us up. They mounted the washer and dryer to the pedestals, leveled them, connected them, and has us ready to do laundry within 30 minutes. AND they removed all the packing materials when they left. Could not be happier! Thanks, Best Buy.

After much research and reading reviews I purchased this LG washer. It is the greatest purchase I will ever make. You truely can't find a better washer. I can't hear it running and it never gets out of balance. You can't go wrong with this unit!

We replaced a ten year old washer with this LG, 12-cycle Energy Star model from the store in Boulder, CO. and could not be happier. Very low water use, extremely quiet and so easy to make program adjustments to suit my needs. I highly recommend this product from Best Buy!

Went with LG brand because all over great reviews

This is a great looking washer & so far I am happy with the LG brand. I did alot of research on which brands of frontload washers were the best & everywhere I went the reviews for the LG brand won over the rest. I am satisfied with the performance just one little thing I've had to do twice, is stop the cycle & manually adjust the load because the washer does try to do this on it's own but finally after 45 mins. of it repeatedly trying to adjust itself it couldn't. The load consists of 1 blanket & 2 sheets with plenty of room left in washer so it wasn't overloaded. It hasn't done it since but overall I am happy with purchase.

I love my new washer. I think it washes faster than my old machine and my clothes seem to be cleaner. I especially like the sanitary cycle for washing towels and getting that unexplainable smell washed away. So far, I haven't experienced anything bad with the washer.

This is a great machine for anyone. From the laundry pro to the first timers. All you have to do is read the instructions. Sort your clothes and get started. We use the pods so its clean and simple. Set the dial to the wash preference and press the play button. Walk away and forget the laundry until the chime is heard. What we love most is the washer is so quiet we live apartment life and we want to keep it down when washing at all times of the day and night. Trying to go green is hard so saving energy and money just by changing a W/D makes that step a little easier on us. The LG steam cleaning washer is a must have! I have bad allergies and it's worked wonders on my sheets an clothes.

    Wash performance is below average

This might be the over hyped washer in history. It doesn't clean any visible dirt off clothes on a normal cycle without pre-treating. The only way I can get this giant white piece of garbage to clean clothes is to use powder detergent, heavy soil setting and pre-wash. It will NOT clean on regular cycles with liquid detergent. It also doesn't rinse the detergent out of the clothes unless you run at least one extra rinse cycle. Each load using these settings takes over 2 hours. The 14 year old Maytag Neptune that I replaced cleaned and rinsed clothes MUCH better even when old, worn out and barely working.

This washer has multiple settings for all types of clothes and all types of cleaning. The finish is gorgeous and is a nice piece of furniture in my downstairs laundry/bathroom. Clothes are minimally wet at the end of the cycle which decreases drying time and saves energy. Love the load sensor which greatly decreases water usage and washing time.

The quick closing solenoid valves for this machine are hard on our pipes creating a water hammer issue; we've installed residential style water hammer arresters that don't do much to help resolve this. It's a great machine and I'd recommend it, the only drawback for us is the water pressure issue.
