Great for pulling up old backups

This does perfect. The USB cord is a bit short but long enough. Runs on USB power so that's one less thing to carry. About as slim as you can get.

Low cost for a device that is used only occasionally due to improved vtechnology. One advantage is that it can be used with both PC & Apple computers when there are combinations of hardware that it needs to support.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only gave this 4 stars because even though this product works just fine, I had so many problems getting my laptop to play DVD movies. Laptops that do not have a DVD player installed also do not have a program to play DVD movies installed. It was a big hassle getting a program to work without paying just as much as I did for the DVD drive to begin with.
