Needed an external drive for new laptop. Recommended by Geek Squad. Small and works well. Easy set up.

Works well, is super light and small and being powered by USB is great! Can't beat the price as this is the perfect add-on for all of the new laptops that don't have DVD drives.

I have several of these disk writers and am totally satisfied with them. I seldom have a bad cd/dvd writing. If I use the writer on my computer, I often do. Great product for the price.

I have all apple products that no longer have a cd drive internally. The cabability to switch between apple and pc is a great feature and its super slim so it fits in my laptop case!

This dvd player has worked very well with my macbook air,it runs very smooth and quite with a very high quality picture.This dvd player is very slim and portable enough to almost sit anywhere.

After reading a number of horrible reviews on the Apple DVD writer I went with this LG product for half the cost. It was plug and play and has been performing flawlessly for the past 3 months.

I bought this drive primarily to transfer music CDs into iTunes on my laptop. It works great for that. I've had no problems with it. It's compact and lightweight.

Takes up minimal space on my desk. There is no power cord to require use of an outlet. Simple design, yet does exactly what I needed - to have an external DVD drive for my laptop (HP EliteBook).

I use it as a portable drive in my business. it is super lightweight and pretty fast. I burn photo discs for customers on it and still haven't heard complaints.

Only drawback to my new Asus was no CD Drive -- but after looking around, I found this LG -- and it works wonderfully ... great/fast drive, very portable, and does everything I was looking for.

Light-weight, little driver, easy to install and use. A bit flimsy, however, if you are a responsible adult, this should last for quite some time. LG good brand, good reputation.

bought the LG to compliment my recent laptop purchase that did not come with a drive, compact design makes it easy to put away when not in use. will reevaluate after more use

I was pleasantly surprised when I purchased this optical drive to find out how well it works. For the price, and it's size, it performs as well as a full size unit.

I try 2 other CD/DVD external units before this one and this was the best one!! I love it! is super light weight and does the job surprisingly fast. Very Happy, will totally recommend this!

It runs with the power from the USB. No external power required. A little noisy. So far, excellent unit for loading CD's into my laptop.
