However it makes it pretty annoying for portability. It is light weight. Good product.

Small, light drive works fine

Does exactly what I need

With so many computers not having cd drives, I needed to get an external one to be able to do all my work. This has worked very well for me so far. It installed quickly and easily. So far, it's read every disc I need it to. I haven't tried writing a CD with it yet, though.

Simple to use, just plug in and play

It was probably due to a bad cable but it was hard-wired. This drive has a removable cable so that could be replaced if there's every a problem. However, it has worked great since I purchased it 4 months ago and I'm very happy.

Overall a good product

Great item for computers with no built-in CD tray.

Only downside is the inconvenience of hook-up through an accessory port with a bulky cable which is a pain in the backside for those with limited space around their computer.
