I thought it'd be a lot easier to use, especially for the price point. I also think as smart as the scale and Fitbit are they should sync better. For instance when I'm weighing myself while wearing Fitbit I think somehow the two should sync automatically--knowing it's me weighing. My mom and I are both registered on scale yet due to our weight being similar it asks which user we are--no big deal accept when it doesn't register me when I select my name vs my moms. So we are constantly going through out Fitbit app and deleting the other ones weight because they keep showing up on eachothers weight icon. If the price were lower I'd recommend to a friend but for what I paid for this scale I wouldn't recommend.

Easy to set up and use. Expands the laptop's capabilities. Though I did research an internal drive, the Geek Squad recommended this easier alternative. The price was right.

As small as it gets for everything a unit like this will do. Fast speeds for download and transfer. The plastic tray is pretty thin... so that is something to be careful with. It does require two usb ports to run so just be aware of that. Overall a decent product.

Purchased this product when my laptop wouldn't read a particular (and old) software installation CD. This read it without any problem. Nice to have since internal optical readers are being phased out of many devices. Not something I'll use often, but when I need it, I want it available.

I needed an external CD drive to use with my new iMac because some of the programs I wanted to install were on a CD. After looking at several external drives, I chose the LG Ultra Slim because of the price. It worked great, although I didn't need to write anything to DVD/CD so I don't know how it functions for that. One note....I forgot that it's not an external drive, so at first, I was thrown off when no icon showed up on my desktop. I thought something was wrong and tried to unplug it several times, before I realized that nothing would show up until I inserted a disk into it! LOL!

Information provided by staff was most helpful. Directions for use enclosed were not as good as had hoped. Time will tell whether I would recommend this product to others = probably would do so unless difficulties occur during the course of usel.

Nice addition to a driveless laptop. Very lightweight. Works just the way it should. A little bit noisy, but then again, it's not mounted inside of a computer.

I decided to buy a solid state backup as a backup to my standard hard drive. I just like the security of it and that there are no moving parts. Should last me for years. Not cheap but worth the sense of security it gives me knowing that my data will be securely stored.

I recently bought a laptop that did not have an optical drive. The only need I have for one is watching the occasional movie or uploading music from a CD onto my computer and this product gets the job done.

The size is perfect for a laptop bag. Doesn't take up much space at all. Easy install. I have played CDs and DVDs with no problems and burned a DVD. Highly recommend.

My college-age daughter purchased this item before traveling abroad so that she would be able to workout in her hotel using DVDs on her computer. She seems very happy with it. It was on sale for 50% off when we purchased it, so it was a bargain.

Good product easy to use. Use it with Mac and window.only draw back is Software that comes with it is window only. For Mac you will have to purchase a software

The laptop did not have a DVD player/writer which is a capably that I like to use from time to time. This will provide me with that capability. I am still getting used to my new laptop computer so have not used this yet, but will be using it soon.

Came online and worked perfect the first time. No problems. Takes up very little space. Being ultra thin it is easy to store.

I wish my new laptop had a cd drive. I was told they don't install them in laptops. When I shopped for the laptop I was told hp also doesn't have a 17 inch laptop either. But after I purchased the 15 inch the 17 was on the floor for sale with cd drive built in.

I needed a good, budget dvr player and this one for the bill. It's very slim, light, and had worked well so far. I'll updatw the review if anythin changes.

My new laptop did not have a DVD/CD drive and I still buy actual CDs and needed to upload them to my iTunes. This worked as it should and was a good price.

I am so glad I purchased this.. It is small and easily stores out of the way, but when I need to use a cd I just plug it in one of the usb ports and it works perfectly!!

This product works well. Does not come with sufficient/detailed explanation for Mac users. Just so you know, the cd that is used to install on windows operating systems is not needed for Macs. Nothing pops up.

My current laptop does not have a Dvd rw and I have found that there are occasions where I need one. This thing is light, easy to use and fast. All for a great price.
